We are very pleased with the solar pv and battery system installation undertaken by Gregor Heating. The whole team from first contact with sales, to the survey and installation team were all very professional, polite, tidy and friendly. When there was an issue with the first battery that was delivered being faulty this was all handled by Gregor with only impact to us being a slight delay in the completion of the install. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone considering similar work.

New Combi boiler and controls.
Our old combi boiler was installed by Gregor some twenty or so years ago, and also serviced by their engineers every year, who were always very proficient, tidy, knowledgeable, and helpful. So when it came to a new replacement combi boiler we looked no further, as we have always had excellent service in the past at a fair price. Our new combi boiler and controls were fitted by Mark, who arrived on time as arranged and was fantastic. He explained the procedures and invited any questions or problems we may have had before starting. He covered all the work arrears with dust sheets before proceeding. The whole job was professionally completed by the end of the day and left perfectly clean and tidy. Mark is a true professional who clearly enjoys and takes pride in his work, which when dealing with gas appliances is exactly what you need, he is a credit to his profession and Gregor. Excellent job completed on time and at the agreed price.

Fantastic Service
Sat chatting with my elderly father, I realised I could hear movement behind the fitted gas fire, and soon understood a bird must have fallen down the chimney and become stuck. Worried for the bird and knowing how upsetting this would be for my father (aged 97), I needed help. I tried a number of people but no one was able to assist until I called Gregor Heating. The call line operator was brilliant, taking all the details, finding if there was any help available and calling me back within ten minutes. An engineer called Phil and his assistant were willing to come out asap and help. Phil and his apprentice were brilliant. Reassuring, mindful of time for my father, they turned up and set to work straight away. It was not straight forward but they just kept on, eventually getting the fire out and saving a bewildered magpie! Throughout they made sure the room was protected and then cleaned up brilliantly at the end, reassuring me of the service on the fire so that it was not only fitted back but fully serviced and safe. I can't praise this team enough for fast help, excellent service and a very professional service. Excellent.

Boiler Care for tenants
Wanted to praise all the team at Gregor Heating for looking after our and our tenants' boilers. Putting our tenants on the Heatplan cover was the best move we've done to put our minds at rest about boiler safety. I picked up a problem of a non working boiler yesterday and by 3 pm today Michelle and Jamal had very efficiently and professionally sorted the issue. And best of all I was called to tell me all was now well. Thanks Gregor.

Have used this company for years. Very reliable. Very helpful. Back up/call out service for maintenance is very good. A local company with local employees who know their clientele and their needs very well. May not be the cheapest or the dearest but certainly very competitive and reliable. Would recommend local Bristol/Bath people consider using this local company.

Have used Gregor heating for many years, easy to book annual service and years of emergency cover. Any problem they are there for you. They have excellent knowledgeable engineers who are prompt and courteous, explaining what is required. They have several maintenance cover schemes to suit your needs at very reasonable prices. Boiler breakdown and service
Our oil boiler stopped working leaving us without heating or hot water with a cold spell on the way which was extremely worrying. The whole team at Gregor were incredibly efficient and we had our boiler working again extremely quickly including ordering the spare parts required for what is a very old oil boiler. I can't recommend their service enough. The team were all very friendly to deal with and knowledgeable in their work. They were on time and kept me informed of arrival times. We have subsequently had our boiler serviced with Gregor too and received the same excellent service. Thank you to the team and it was such a relief to have the boiler back up and running again so quickly.

Phil Boobier attended to fix and issue with my boiler, it was a pleasure to meet him. Repair of leaking pipe work in central heating system
I experienced a leak from a soldered joint in my central heating system. Fortunately I was covered by Gregor’s heat plan two insurance. I phoned the Gregor help line and the very pleasant receptionist arranged a prompt service engineers visit. The engineer Phil attended on time and carried out the repair (which was in a very awkward spot) in a very friendly and competent manner. Well done Gregor and thank you Phil.

Engineer was Phil Boobier, did a fantastic job at both locations, came to my house first and then my sons after, took his time to explain to me what had been done and the results both boilers had against levels required. My mother's backboiler broke down. A tricky problem as l live one hundred and thirty miles away. Recommended by a neighbour, Gregor heating promptly came to the rescue. The repair was helpfully and pleasantly organised by Darby, Kate, and Michelle and the engineer Trevor collected a new part and did the repair. We were delighted and of course relieved - many thanks.

Outstanding service by Gregor
We had a back boiler which we wanted to be replaced urgently. During the quotation survey Chris Cox talked us through the various options, taking into account what would work best for our house. His information was very helpful for us to understand what our options were and the works included removing the back boiler, installing a gas combi boiler, and replacing all the pipework and radiators. He also recommended a smart thermostat and I'm very grateful he did because I find myself enjoying it immensely now that I'm using it daily. Amazingly, he managed to book us in for the following week and the entire job was completed in 3 days, for which we are extremely grateful. The installers Mark and his colleagues were super friendly, professional and took great care whilst working in our home. Given the major job they had to do, I'm very impressed with how tidy they left everything.

Installation of air source heat pump
We met three key people from Gregor Heating and Renewables. They were all extremely efficient, knowledgeable and highly capable - and they were really good at their trade. The surveyor who oversaw the installation, the planner who worked out the detailed specs and applied for all the paperwork, building regulations and government grant, and the engineer who fitted it all in our home. Everyone was really friendly too and went to great lengths to explain how we control our new heating system. Gregor installed a Daikin air source heat pump, a new high pressure tank and new radiators and pipes throughout the house. We are delighted with their work and very happy with the end product.

Thoroughly unsatisfactory
We have a new build house on an estate where Gregor Heating has been the main plumbing and heating contractor. We have had a number of snagging issues and have experienced ongoing prevarication from Gregor's tradespeople attending to address the problems. The worst is a washbasin problem for which we have had four visits to our house without a satisfactory resolution, and even following the complaints procedure has so far failed to resolve it. The manager from the estate development company supports us and agrees the problem requires fixing - perhaps the fifth attempt may bring and end to this sorry saga. It is not an isolated incident as a previous engineer attended when we reported a problem with stiff shower valves. He informed us that the problem was insufficiently serious to meet the manufacturers' threshold for a complaint. So we went direct to the manufacturers with support from the estate development company. The manufacturers' engineer came out quickly and replaced two faulty valves without question.

New Boiler Purchase & Installation
We have a service plan with Gregor Heating & have also had a boiler from them in the past at a previous property which we were very happy with, so naturally when our old boiler needed replacing we turned to Gregor for help. They looked after us from start to finish; we had the boiler area surveyed to ensure we had a compatible boiler replacement and kept us within budget without compromising on boiler efficiency. On the day, the engineers were so kind & helpful. They did the job with care & attention with minimal disruption & nothing was too much trouble. We changed our mind on which wall controllers we wanted on the day of install - from battery operated to electric - the engineer rang the office & a member of the Gregor team drove over especially to deliver them. The job was finished on time. The engineers showed me how to operate the boiler and wall switches before they left & didn't leave until they were happy I understood the process. The day couldn't have gone any smoother. The boiler comes with a 10 year Guarantee and we have peace of mind that Gregor will be there to assist with the maintenance/should we need to call them out.

New Boiler
The heating system in our new house was old inefficient and, frankly, a dog’s dinner. Those who came to quote huffed and puffed when they realised it was not a straightforward job. Not so Gregors and, as we had used them in our old house, we used them again. We were not disappointed. Craig, their engineer, did a great job. His installations were straight and neat and old holes filled in. Everything was left tidy and the remnants of the old system taken away before he left site. He kept us informed of progress and answered our questions, otherwise he worked without fuss. My one complaint is the Home Owner’s Gas Safety Certificate sent later. It reads as if a dangerous appliance is present. I phoned Gregors and was told that everything is fine and if we sell the house, a solicitor would know how to read the certificate; well, it will never get the Crystal Mark for plain English. Twice I have asked for a quick email for my records confirming all is fine, but over a month later still no email.

Boiler and Water tank installation at Combe Lodge
Having originally contacted Gregor Heating in early February and received a quotation for work as requested, I then accepted the quotation and paid a 50% deposit with an agreed start date of 17 March. Thereafter, the Installation engineers arrived at 7.15 am and on discovering the previously visited site and utility room installation location promptly walked off site! Over the next 4 weeks, following the departure of 2 Gregor works quotation personnel! ,who had been dealing with my work request, and zero response to several emails I eventually got through to Gregor Heating personnel whose response and knowledge of this accepted work was bordering on incompetent. After a threat of job cancellation and demand of my deposit back I was quickly contacted by a Gregor Heating manager. A short and frank exchange was had and thereafter a 3rd visit was made to the property and a start date of 25 April was agreed. The work then proceeded on time however, the Engineer did apologise on the 1st day for not having all the correct items for installation due to an order mix-up. The work was completed over 2 days as originally quoted. Finally, the epitome of the total lack of customer service shown by the company is that not once have they got my name correct on any piece of paperwork and I have told them on 4 separate occasions...this continues with the Worcester-Bosch boiler Guarantee arriving by email today with my name wrong yet again!

Disappointment
Looking for a policy, checked Gregor website and looked okay so decided to contact them. First contact Monday seventeenth of January, mid-morning, spoke to a lady, explained the reason for my call she said "the person I need to speak to is busy, I will get her to call you. " All details given. At three thirty pm I contacted again but got the answer machine, "all our operators are busy" after a couple of minutes I left my details for a callback. Tuesday mid-afternoon I called again, spoke to same lady who said: "the lady I need to speak is busy on another call, I will get her to phone you." No contact Wednesday, or rest of week. Review being written seven days after initial contact. If they cannot respond to a basic phone call within a week, how can you trust with more serious issues? The worse thing a company can do is ignore a potential customer, especially when they promise to call back twice then don't. Obviously, I can't comment on the engineers never got that far. Since contacted another company and all sorted in fifteen mins. How simple is that?
