Gregor Heating

We have a service plan with Gregor Heating & have also had a boiler from them in the past at a previous property which we were very happy with, so naturally when our old boiler needed replacing we turned to Gregor for help. They looked after us from start to finish; we had the boiler area surveyed to ensure we had a compatible boiler replacement and kept us within budget without compromising on boiler efficiency. On the day, the engineers were so kind & helpful. They did the job with care & attention with minimal disruption & nothing was too much trouble. We changed our mind on which wall controllers we wanted on the day of install - from battery operated to electric - the engineer rang the office & a member of the Gregor team drove over especially to deliver them. The job was finished on time. The engineers showed me how to operate the boiler and wall switches before they left & didn't leave until they were happy I understood the process. The day couldn't have gone any smoother. The boiler comes with a 10 year Guarantee and we have peace of mind that Gregor will be there to assist with the maintenance/should we need to call them out.

The heating system in our new house was old inefficient and, frankly, a dog’s dinner. Those who came to quote huffed and puffed when they realised it was not a straightforward job. Not so Gregors and, as we had used them in our old house, we used them again. We were not disappointed. Craig, their engineer, did a great job. His installations were straight and neat and old holes filled in. Everything was left tidy and the remnants of the old system taken away before he left site. He kept us informed of progress and answered our questions, otherwise he worked without fuss. My one complaint is the Home Owner’s Gas Safety Certificate sent later. It reads as if a dangerous appliance is present. I phoned Gregors and was told that everything is fine and if we sell the house, a solicitor would know how to read the certificate; well, it will never get the Crystal Mark for plain English. Twice I have asked for a quick email for my records confirming all is fine, but over a month later still no email.

Having originally contacted Gregor Heating in early February and received a quotation for work as requested, I then accepted the quotation and paid a 50% deposit with an agreed start date of 17 March. Thereafter, the Installation engineers arrived at 7.15 am and on discovering the previously visited site and utility room installation location promptly walked off site! Over the next 4 weeks, following the departure of 2 Gregor works quotation personnel! ,who had been dealing with my work request, and zero response to several emails I eventually got through to Gregor Heating personnel whose response and knowledge of this accepted work was bordering on incompetent. After a threat of job cancellation and demand of my deposit back I was quickly contacted by a Gregor Heating manager. A short and frank exchange was had and thereafter a 3rd visit was made to the property and a start date of 25 April was agreed. The work then proceeded on time however, the Engineer did apologise on the 1st day for not having all the correct items for installation due to an order mix-up. The work was completed over 2 days as originally quoted. Finally, the epitome of the total lack of customer service shown by the company is that not once have they got my name correct on any piece of paperwork and I have told them on 4 separate occasions...this continues with the Worcester-Bosch boiler Guarantee arriving by email today with my name wrong yet again!

Looking for a policy, checked Gregor website and looked okay so decided to contact them. First contact Monday seventeenth of January, mid-morning, spoke to a lady, explained the reason for my call she said "the person I need to speak to is busy, I will get her to call you. " All details given. At three thirty pm I contacted again but got the answer machine, "all our operators are busy" after a couple of minutes I left my details for a callback. Tuesday mid-afternoon I called again, spoke to same lady who said: "the lady I need to speak is busy on another call, I will get her to phone you." No contact Wednesday, or rest of week. Review being written seven days after initial contact. If they cannot respond to a basic phone call within a week, how can you trust with more serious issues? The worse thing a company can do is ignore a potential customer, especially when they promise to call back twice then don't. Obviously, I can't comment on the engineers never got that far. Since contacted another company and all sorted in fifteen mins. How simple is that?

The Gregor team, Craig (plumber/gas engineer) Lee (electrician) and the builder were great. They were punctual, polite, friendly, hardworking, and answered all of the many questions I had. They were very professional and their work is of a very high standard. At the end of each day they made sure my property was left clean, tidy and ready for our use. They instructed me as to the use of the boiler and thermostats as necessary and left all the necessary paperwork/manuals and instructions. I recommend them.

We had a new boiler fitted to replace our ancient one. Adam initially explained all of the options really well to us and was really responsive whenever we had any questions. Mark who installed the boiler for us was really professional and courteous. Everything was always left tidy and he explained the process to me clearly. All looks great, was finished on time and is working well. The electrician and builder were also really friendly and professional. Overall a really great service.

My family and I are extremely pleased with the recent boiler install by Gregor Heating. The whole process from site inspection to quotation to installation went without a hitch. All questions answered and no problem insurmountable. Connor, the engineer, was a pleasure to have in our home; friendly, courteous, knowledgable and professional. He arrived when he said he would and finished early! I am delighted to say that the water is now piping hot and I am very happy! I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Gas engineer George came to repair a DIY error in which we had damaged our pipe. He was professional, calm and reassuring. His demeanor was most welcome in a stressful situation. Equally the person we spoke to on the phone was marvelous. Another fabulous experience with Gregor Heating.

From the competitive quote by Adam to the completion of the job within the estimated time. The installation was carried out to a very high standard. Conor arrived on time and covered all carpets and proceeded to discuss the procedure in a courteous and efficient manner. He overcame problems caused by our 40 year old system and obviously took great pride in his job. He kept the disturbance down to a minimum showing great care .John the builder made good the changes to the kitchen and the electrician was very efficient and patiently explained the room thermostat .On completion the . house was vacuumed and all waste removed within hours .We would not hesitate to recommend Gregor Heating to to anyone. Quote was given on day Adam called to do survey. Although not the cheapest quote we received we liked the service and attitude of Adam so agreed to work being carried out by Gregor. An administration error on the date of work commencing meant Craig arrived a day earlier than we expected. This was all sorted and from then on we had absolutely no problems or cause for complaint. Craige arrived with John and in no time at all old tanks were removed repair work carried out and rubbish removed from our property. Craige was very polite and a good clean worker. He worked very hard and explained everything very well. Several engineers arrived to help Craige so the job was sorted and finished on time. Even had my stairs vacuumed. An electrician arrived to fit the Hive, he explained how it works so all good. ( I’ve yet to try it!). All paperwork arrived and we were very happy to settle our account knowing our first service is included. We later had a problem with a leak on the hot water pipe leading to our shower. We realised this was not a problem with boiler installation but on contacting Adam desperate for advice he arranged for Conner one of their engineers to call. He found the problem and he was able to stop the leak. So many thanks this service was over and above. We can highly recommend Gregor Heating from start to finish we are very happy with every aspect of our experience.

Had a new combi boiler installed to replace my 30 year old one. Initial survey and guidance excellent. Price and terms competitive. Engineer turned up on time and from the start was highly knowledgeable and skilled. Very tidy and considerate and the few small issues he came across he consulted with me as to my options to overcome them. Done within the timescale promised and was very happy to answer all my questions regarding what was going on. Old boiler, tanks etc removed and sent to recycling. After care includes free service and plan for a year. Would very highly recommend them.

Excellent service from first visit to final clear up. Craige was first class, very polite helpful and professional. The coordination of staff, equipment delivery and scrap removal was well planned. Work was carried out to time with slight changes to the plan that made the installation plan more suited to the layout of the property. Would recommend Gregor to all.

From quotation to instillation Gregor heating were professional, courteous and responsive. The quotation was comprehensive and easy to understand and during the process Adam clearly explained the various options and choices that we needed to make. The installation then went very smoothly with Craig taking genuine care to make sure the job was completed on time and to a high standard despite a some unforeseen problems with our existing plumbing.

Great experience with Gregor heating. Installer (Craig) arrived on time. Friendly, helpful and arrived with electric heaters to see me through the one night without heat. He worked an extremely long day, got everything done promptly and I arrived back from work on day 2 to warm house, everything set up and the house cleaned/hoovered with the only evidence he had been there a brand new boiler. Cannot praise highly enough.

Really good, from quote to finish. Very informative initial appraisal and quote. All the team were very courteous. Craig M the main installer deserves special credit. He persevered to find a solution to an awkward pre-existing pipe arrangement. We’d resigned ourselves to losing bathroom tiles at a minimum. However, Craig found a clever way around this. Also when a minor communication problem (wrong tel number on record) transpired after he’d finished he went out of his way to sort it out. Lee and John were timely and friendly too. Quote was a bit higher than others but the assured quality made it worth it.

Recommended by a neighbour. Professional from the initial visit - immediate quote provided. Engineer (Ivan) turned up at the specified time (which I understand isn't always the industry norm!!) and he did a great job - very courteous and happy to provide verbal updates during the day. Overall would recommend to anyone. Great job!!

Following an old boiler breaking down and having no hot-water or heating, wanted a good reliable installer to provide and fit a new boiler as soon as possible for my elderly mother. Through her insurance my mother was given details of another company to complete the works. I wanted to have a look around to ensure my mother had an installation that was value for money and a company that was reliable and trustworthy. After looking at all the positive reviews for Gregor Heating on the Which Trusted Traders website it was a no brainer and by deciding to have the works completed by Gregor Heating was not disappointed. Right from the start, the experience with the whole team from the administration staff and surveyor Adam, right through to the installation team was First Class. On the day of installation the installer Craige M arrived first thing and worked through to early evening until the job was completed, even fixing a previous blockage in a radiator pipe that was not part of the works (that other private individual plumbers couldn't fix even though they charged my mother) so that radiator would work too. Craige was brilliant, he was cheerful, respectful of the Covid rules, very knowledgeable and professional in what he was doing and he got on with the job, cleanly & tidily ensuring my mother had heating and hot water again that day. I can not praise Gregor Heating enough and will definitely be recommending them. Thank you Craige & Gregor Heating for coming to my mums rescue.

We woke up on Thursday morning to a house warmed by an oil boiler and by early evening our brand new gas boiler was up and running. What more could we ask for? Craige pulled out all the stops and continued working until early evening to ensure we had a warm house on a winter's evening even after rain during the day. The remaining parts of the installation were completed the following day. Wales and West Utilities brought gas to our property on the Wednesday and Utility Warehouse installed a meter whilst Craige got on with his jobs. Well done all round, and full marks to Craige.

Work carried out by Craige, what a gem! He was really meticulous and courteous we hardly knew he was there, he just got on with the job and kept us informed every step of the way. When he finished he went through ‘how to use’ and answered all my questions. Thank you, Craige, you’re the best. I would have no hesitation in recommending Gregor Heating to all friends and family.

We contacted Gregor Heating shortly after our boiler failed during a very cold snap in February. Initially we were given a surveyors appointment which was a couple of weeks away due to workload with the supplier, however, we did explain our position and an hour or so later Gregor phoned back with a cancellation. Adam the surveyor arrived the next day and gave us an inclusive price before he left which was followed up within an hour by email. We already had quotes from 2 local heating engineers. Gregor's were marginally less expensive, but their price included a first year complimentary service. We accepted their online quote and Craig our installation engineer arrived at 0800 to start work. His work was clean and tidy and he explained what he was doing throughout. A little later in the day Martin the ‘Sparky’ came the complete the Hive installation and explain its operation. The only job to be completed the next day was the installation of a soak away for the condense pipe. Job done. Thought all the visitors to our house were very aware of the COVID requirements Invoice for balance and registration of boiler arrived in email the very next day😉. I would thoroughly recommend this team and Gregors for you boiler replacement service. Thank you and well done 👍

I initially had a poor experience with Gregor Heating when the install of a new cylinder and conversion of system from vented to unvented system due to some unfortunate install issues. However, they resolved the issues and I came back to them to replace our failed boiler at short notice. Gregors worked really hard to turn everything around and my view has taken a complete U-turn. My experience with their sales team and the installer was very positive and I am very happy with the install of the new boiler and service. I would recommend Gregor Heating.

We self built 10 years ago but our original air source pump often gave us trouble and we have now had to replace it. From the start of this process, everyone at Gregor has been excellent. The initial advice and support instilled confidence and the week of the replacement was faultless. All the team were prompt, Covid aware and punctual. They worked efficiently and left the site clean and tidy each evening. The level of professionalism was impressive and they were all cheerful and friendly, working extremely well together. We have now decided to commission some more work from them to fit an electric vehicle charger and solar panels and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone interested in alternative energy.
