Tom Griffin Is a time served heating engineer who served a 4 year apprentice and has been plumbing now for 14 years and has been successful in managing his own business for nearly 8 years.

Griffin Plumbing & Heating is a father son partnership of which Peter Griffin is a qualified joiner of over 30 years also with many years experience in the building trade. Together they work very well and have completed numerous large contracts.

The company is a family run firm and maintain an excellent reputation with customers new and old offering a wide variety of service ranging from a simple tap washer to full central heating installations, full bathrooms etc.

We carry the correct insurances and the correct waste carriers license.

It's very difficult when your 15 year old boiler breaks down and you realise to fix it would cost @ £400. This is what happened to me. I'm a retired engineer and understand heating systems, but for those that don't and their boiler breaks down unexpectedly it can be a daunting decision to make. I decided it to make more sense to get a new boiler. I researched the web to choose the best boiler for my needs and found that Worcester Bosch are probably the best make. So I had made my decision on the make of boiler, now the really hard part, finding a Trustworthy engineer to supply and fit the boiler. I'm fairly new to the area so couldn't really go by word of mouth. So it was back to the trusted web to trawl through all of my options. I am very comprehensive in my research and by the fact of reading so many excellent reviews I opted to try Griffin plumbing and heating. I rang in the morning explaining the situation and was amazed that he could come and see me that afternoon. Thomas Griffin arrived at the agreed time ( With mask on ). He spent about an hour with me thoroughly explaining which type of Worcester Bosch boiler and associated controls I needed. I live in a park home so it had to be LPG. I was very impressed when told the boiler came with a 10 year guarantee. Thomas gave me a quote to supply and fit. It was a fair quote, I had seen cheaper quotes and some more expensive, but I like to go "middle way". He came a week later with his mate, Sam. Fast, clean, tidy, super job

We have used Griffin plumbing several times both at home and at our village institute. Tom is always punctual and courteous his work is excellent. This time they excelled themselves. Our central heating boiler failed and on Tuesday morning I called. He came around at midday. He diagnosed it as beyond economic repair as it probable need a new circuit board, was corroded internally and 13 1/2 years old. He gave me a quote that evening which I accepted immediately. Sam & Tom fitted our new boiler on Friday. They are both friendly professional and very diligent. e.g. Sam would not go home until he had thoroughly bled the system and cleaned up. I have no hesitation in recommending Griffin Plumbing. (I have no association with Tom or Sam and just want them to get recognition for jobs well done)

Frantic boiler not working.

Called Tom this morning after a neighbour recommended him. Boiler not working when we got up so no heating no hot water on a very cold morning. Tom answered promptly very friendly and professional and I told him the problem. He came round within the hour, he was very professional from the start felt very covid safe and he explained the problem so I could understand. He replaced a part and came back later in the day to make sure it was working OK. Am so happy to now have heating and hot water the same day and from a very professional and friendly and honest young man. Will definitely be using Griffin plumbing again and will be having a new boiler installed in the near future. I would have no hesitation in recommending Tom Griffin to anyone looking for a honest friendly professional plumbing service. This is one Happy and now warm customer.

Tom came out late on a Saturday afternoon to our old and ailing boiler- no heating or hot water. He very clearly explained all the considerations around repair and replacement. We chose to replace the 12-year-old boiler and by teatime, on Monday we had a new boiler in place and every last bit of mess had been cleared up and taken away. We've never been so warm and we have loads of hot water. Very happy.

Griffin Plumbing fitted a new shower for us recently. Tom Griffin spent some time outlining our options before installing the shower and gave us advice, in advance of the installation date, regarding the type of shower that would best meet our needs. On the day the whole process was very slick. We were shown the new shower prior to installation to make sure we liked it as Covid had prevented us actually going to a showroom. The old shower was removed, the new pipes were installed without even a chip to the existing tiles and the shower unit fastened to the wall. We were then given a quick lesson on using the shower including advice on how to clean it. The bathroom was left immaculate. We were both very impressed by the job that Griffin Plumbing did not only the professional and technical side of things but the pride shown in the work undertaken & an obvious commitment to top quality customer service. Will never use any other plumber from now on.

After our oil supplier let us down, we were left with an oil boiler that had run dry. Tom at Griffin Plumbing and Heating responded to my call early on a Saturday morning and was here in the space of a few hours. He was professional, courteous and respectful of COVID roles (wearing PPE etc). He fixed the boiler with little fuss and even spotted another error we were not aware of. Absolutely exceptional service and I would have paid twice the price he charged. I cannot recommend it enough!

From the first phone call, Tom gave me confidence we were getting quality professional service. When Dad's boiler packed in during the recent cold spell (Dad is 85) Tom made time to call round the same day to test and try a quick fix, and gave us an open and honest assessment of options for repair or replacement. Choosing to replace the old boiler as the best option, Tom was able to schedule for the next working day. He stuck to the quote, the work was completed in a day, no hidden extras and it's a quality installation with 10-year guarantee. Friendliness may not be the top of the list when looking for a heating engineer, but leaving a warm feeling that Dad was treated respectfully as well as him having a warm house was certainly a bonus.

We had contacted Worcester for their yearly servicing but we were told that due to the pandemic the company would not be able to send an engineer unless the boiler is within warranty but asked us to contact the local Worcester engineer and provided us with a link. The first on the list was Griffin plumbing. I contacted the company on 13th January and we were given a date for the 5th of February at 4 pm. I was told rightly, due to the ongoing pandemic and lockdown he would not be able to attend any earlier. I texted them few days before to remind them of the pre-scheduled appointment for boiler servicing. I did not receive a reply so thought someone will attend. Unfortunately no one attended and no message was conveyed that they would not be able to attend.

We have spoken to the customer and expressed sincere apologies for not responding to a text message and are more than happy to attend at a later date. Unfortunately due to the Covid guidelines engineers have been limited to essential/urgent work only which has not been able to include routine boiler servicing and during the freezing weather conditions during Jan/Feb we have been inundated with extreme high volume of urgent work and also prioritising the elderly and vulnerable during this difficult period. We are rescheduling many annual boiler service as we have with many of our regular customers and once again express our apologies on those who have had to wait a little longer due to circumstances. An exceptional service from first contact to finished job. Professional but friendly; sound advice, very prompt service, installed replacement boiler in half a day, with no mess. What more could you want? Our lodge is warm, boiler beautifully quiet, and I've even cracked the fiendish programmer... Only problem is that our home is 100 miles south of here, but Tom would even consider coming down to install another boiler there, providing he isn't too busy - which, given the quality of service is hardly surprising! Don't hesitate - ask for Tom Griffin.
