We couldn’t be more delighted with the quality service we received from Gordy and his amazing team at GS Roofing! They worked tirelessly in all weathers this past couple of weeks fully replacing our roof – doing so to a very high standard and they made it look effortless. They worked very tidily too – leaving everything as they found it which is no mean feat given the size of the job. Their attention to detail, professionalism and customer service has been first class from start to finish! Huge thanks to Gordy and team!

We used GS Roofing in Kirkintilloch to re-roof my partner’s house. Despite asking for all rotted wood to be replaced with wood, they used OSB board instead of treated timber for the fillets. These were said to be unsuitable by Building Control and three other roofers we spoke to said they would not use that material because it would fail prematurely. We have also spoken to CORC who also condemned the use of OSB board for fillets. We emailed GS Roofing three times to replace the fillets, telling them we would take legal action if they did not. They have refused. We are now in the process of taking GS Roofing to court to make them pay for the cost of rectifying their workmanship.

GS Roofing replaced the original roof on the house which was 75 years old, stripping everything off down to the joists and then building up from there. It was a privilege and a pleasure to watch this accomplished team work. They worked intensely and professionally for over two weeks, regardless of the heat or rain. The process from the initial tear down to the final touches was a wonder to behold. The result was a highly functional roof that is also a piece of art. Every detail is perfect. I can't stop looking at it and appreciating the value that's been added to the house. I was sad for the process to be over. Unfortunately, it will probably be at least another 75 years before this house needs another roof. You would be lucky to have GS Roofing put on a roof for you. I couldn't recommend anyone for anything more highly.

Gordon Smith and his company GS Roofing have served us well on roofing repairs over years. This job was for a complete re-roof to replace 80 year old rosemary tiles with modern marley. Gordon attended with us and provided a detailed competitive quote which we accepted. Then lockdown arrived and the start had to be deferred. Once restrictions eased Gordon found the bigger players had grabbed all the available tile supplies. He kept us fully informed on his efforts to get the necessary supply and said he was not prepared to start until he was sure he could finish quickly and competently. In due course the materials arrived and Gordon and his work team descended on us like an invading army. The got the scaffolding up in no time, deliveries of material arrived like magic, they pitched into the work in all weathers with great cheerfulness and dedication. At one point I counted 8 men swarming all over our roof. The work included three replacement veluxes and the craftsmanship in the installation of these was superb. The job was finished in a couple of weeks. They cleared up carefully and were gone! We are delighted with the roof and blown away by the speed and quality of the work. All the way through the operatives were friendly and polite and always careful to keep disruption and mess to a minimum. We are very satisfied customers and would not hesitate to recommend GS Roofing to potential customers.

We were more than pleased with the work that Gordon and his team did to our roof in anticipation of a wet winter. Response to our initial enquiry was prompt and efficient as was the reasonable quotation. The replacement of missing tiles as well as the re-rendering of the ridge tiles which had begun to decay was carried out with minimum disruption. Very happy with the work and no hesitation in recommending GS Roofing as a reliable local firm.

Gordon gave us a competitive quotation to re-roof our slate-covered kitchen extension. We were very impressed by the speed and efficiency of the project and by the quality of the work. The new roof looks great.

GS Roofing replaced the existing roof tiles, fascia, soffit and gutters on our semi-detached villa, along with removal of a small chimney. They provided a competitive quotation for our project, itemising all of the works required, which they carried out in an efficient and tidy manner over a total period of 5 days. Our new roof has performed well over the wet winter months since completion of the works. Gordon and his team reroofed our bungalow and replaced guttering. Gordon gave us a very fair price with no hidden extras. Communication from him and Pamela was excellent. Gordon and the team were polite and considerate when doing the works, they left the site clean and tidy, and we are very pleased with the new roof. To fit in with our holiday plans Gordon arranged to complete the job early. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

Redoing the roughcasting on a very old building (approx 40 square metres) always involves unknowns as to the wall type and condition, and time required for the work. We accepted a likely price with GS Roofing, then after they had stripped it back and had identified exactly what was required, we agreed how to proceed and they completed the work as per previously agreed costings. The work was finished extremely quickly, very neatly (it bordered a public footpath so this was important), and with a final, very level finish that left no trace of the underlying uneven surface of the old wall. A very professional and extremely well-priced job that was much admired by passing neighbours. We would have no hesitation using GS Roofing again.

Throughout the process of obtaining quotes, agreeing price, issuing contract, starting and completing the job, Pamela and Gordon always responded to any queries promptly and professionally. Gordon's team were always on site early, ready to start work and never wasted any time. They were courteous, considerate and professional at all times. All work was done to a high standard and we are pleased with the completed job. Although there were a few snagging items, these were quickly resolved. We would therefore have no hesitation in recommending GS Roofing.

GS Roofing proved to be very reliable and efficient repairing and replacing the gutter on my side return. There had been an over spill from a downpipe causing damp on a side wall. The repairs and new gutter installed by GS Roofing ensures the gutter is now fast flowing and improved. The estimate was reliable and all work was done tidily and timely. Very satisfied customer.

Gordon is a cracking big guy, very hard working and comes with a strong recommendation in the area, He's easy to talk to and he communicates all aspects of the job to you over the piece. The team of guys started on the Monday and had re tiled my roof and extension, plus fitted 2 velux windows all by the Wednesday. Really efficient and roof looking brilliant. Responded quickly and efficiently to a leaking gutter. Very pleased with excellent service.

A leak that developed in the roof just after New Year was swiftly dealt with, as was a leak elsewhere on the roof in 2017. Very helpful and friendly service and at a good price. Great to have such a good local company.

Guttering job carried out on schedule, kept me updated and very pleased with the end result. Also replaced a broken tile. I would recommend this company. Excellent administration as well.

Gordon and his team began work on a Tuesday building scaffolding and by the following Monday it was complete and all tidied up - the actual roof was completed on the Friday. I would highly recommend contacting GS Roofing for a quotation. The work ethic and manner of all the team was fantastic. They soldiered on (in all weather) to get the roof weather tight within 3 days. The roof looks great and we are extremely happy with the work. Gordon was in communication daily so I knew what was going on, and it always felt like he had our best interests at heart.
