From the initial contact to the after care - the whole removals journey was excellent. A really clear breakdown of costs and options with clear instructions and helpful tips. Really helpful and accommodating when our move date changed. Turned up early on move day and were professional and in good humour. Super clean and tidy and really took care with our property and all our belongings. Always quick to respond to any queries. Hadley & Ottaway is a removal and storage company that we would highly recommend. Arguably the best in the business... We enquired with a number of companies to move us from North Suffolk to Devon, but from the first introduction of Hadley & Ottaway by Chris, who visited us to quote, we were given an air of total professionalism, and this continued throughout the whole process. The Drivers / Furniture handlers, and of course, the Administration team in the office, so much care and attention to detail was present, and zero damage. The usual unexpected happened during the process of our sale and purchase, and Hadley & Ottaway adjusted to suit our needs at short notice, including moving us into their storage facility. With confidence, we can say this was by far the easiest and stress-free element of the move, and we were extremely grateful. 100% without hesitation, we would highly recommend this company to anyone.

From booking the initial appointment through to the final sign off, Hadley & Ottaway ltd were professional, supportive, friendly and respectful. This was our first time moving home so the teams' guidance on all the options and how it would work were really helpful in setting our minds at ease. When the team did the initial run through on the day, they provided guidance on how they would pack up the house so we could plan the final clean and then at the new house, did another walk through to understand where everything would go. The team provided guidance on location of items within our home for safekeeping and did not rush us to make decisions where they were not needed. All the way through the team kept spirits high, were friendly and approachable about different things and transferred all our items successfully without any damage either end. We were really grateful to Hadley & Ottaway ltd for their service and would highly recommend them.

Our three-day move from Norfolk to Warwickshire went without a hitch. From packing on day one to unloading on day three, the crew was efficient, polite, friendly, and treated our belongings as if they were their own. A very professional company which I can highly recommend.

From initial contact, professional. Came to my home and assessed what would be required, followed by a quote. My move was quite complex as involved a long haul including a lengthy ferry journey. Crew that arrived to pack the removal truck, even with the early hour, were cheerful. Whole house was loaded within three hours. The next time I saw them was at Oban Ferry terminal, the following day. The following morning they arrived at my new house and delivered all my belongings. At all times they were courteous and well presented. Would recommend this company to anyone moving home.

The team of Jordan, Lee, Stephen and Logan accomplished our house move with complete professionalism and efficiency. I cannot recommend Hadley & Ottaway enough if you are thinking of moving! Everyone was extremely professional, from arranging to come and assess the furniture I had before giving me a quote to the administrative team to the incredible movers who actually did our move. It was a freezing cold day, but from the moment they arrived, Bob and Chris, were friendly and showed their consideration for our belongings like it was their own. They happily answered any questions I had, as well as disassembled and re-assembled several of our furniture perfectly, which I was very impressed by! They also double checked with us where we wanted the furniture positioned in the new property and whether we wanted them to make any changes before they left. Amazing professionals all around!

From the first visit to give a quotation through to the last box taken into our new home we can only give the highest praise to all involved. Moving 2 days before Christmas is not ideal but the whole process was made so much easier because of the excellent service we received from every member of our removals team. Hadley & Ottaway carried out two removals for us from the same property. The first was on July 15th followed by 28th November 2024. On both occasions, they arrived on time & took care to protect our carpets & flooring before starting any removals. Throughout both collections & drops the staff were very helpful & were happy to assist with every request we made even when we arrived at our destination & changed our minds on more than one occasion as to where things should go. Before they left again on both occasions, they cleared all the packaging we had unloaded & made sure that nothing else needed shifting whilst they were with us. The entire process from booking the original site visit for a quotation through to all the interaction we had with their office & removal team was simply brilliant. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a stress free company to work with.

The team did not excellent job moving us within our village in south Cambridgeshire. Everything was handled with care and efficiency making the move worry-free. This company is great. From the outset with Chris providing the costs and the planning, to the girls in the office and Graham and the team doing the packing and moving, everything went like clockwork. Nothing broken, nothing missing, heavy oak furniture managed with seeming ease. Everyone was so helpful and polite and the costs were very fair. I would recommend allowing the company to pack your things. Hadley and Ottaway made a stressful time less stressful and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

From the very first telephone contact we were impressed with the professionalism, friendliness, helpfulness and flexibility of both the office staff and the removal staff. The quotes were very easy to understand, unlike another company we had contacted. The price was excellent for a long distance move over three days. The two staff who moved us were so sincere, friendly and considerate. They were on time each day and packed and unloaded our possessions with care. Follow up communication with the office staff has also been excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

From the start, this company demonstrated skill, professionalism and understanding. The packing, loading and the move in over two days went smoothly. The team were well led and worked with us to leave a house that was our home for 18 years into a different new property that will be our home for many years.

Move from the North of England to East Anglia was made very simple by the team. From the initial video call from Darren and the invoicing and emails from Kerrie and Anna everything was nice and easy and they were very understanding at all times. Jay and Steve who moved us over 3 days were friendly, helpful and very hard working and totally respectful of our property. A quality removal company who we trusted entirely, and the move was carried out exactly as arranged and on time. If we move again we will definitely by using Hadley & Ottaway again.

We moved recently with Hadley & Ottaway and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They kept us informed of timings, the team on all four days were polite, professional , caring and respectful of our belongings and both our old and new property. They are not, as they admit, the cheapest removal company but neither are they the most expensive. You get what you pay for and we were thoroughly pleased and reassured with our choice. They even called to arrange collection of boxes and packing paper a few weeks later without us having to chase as w’eve done with other companies. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

The company moved all of our home effects including our hot tub. The customer service from our initial contact through to the end of the move was friendly helpful and efficient. We had other quotes but the quote received from Hadley and Ottaway stood out as best value for money. The team arrived early and assessed the move immediately; they were very professional and courteous; nothing was too much trouble and they worked very hard to complete the loading of effects the same day allowing us to get an early start for our long journey. They even collected our Hot Tub from storage on the way. The delivery of all effects was concluded in a few hours with no damage to any items; they even sited the Hot Tub exactly where we wanted it. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them if we move again.

Hadley & Ottway recently moved my furniture and effects out of storage with them into my new home. I was given a clear idea of the cost of the job beforehand. My preferences as to the date and timing of the move were discussed in advance with their office staff, who dealt promptly with one or two queries of mine. Their crew arrived within the time frame supplied. The furniture and effects, which were in good condition, were carefully moved into my property. The firm's principle of asking people to return to them untorn paper wrapping on collection of their crates is, in my view, commendable.

The crew were polite and efficient and took great care wrapping fragile items and crating paintings. Unloading was completed in a day and they then delivered our upright piano to our daughter who lives 5 miles away from our new home. Everything was done according to the quotation and it made our move - the first since July 1978! - as stress-free as possible. Thanks.

Hadley and Ottaway provided a very reasonable quote, and kept it when our house sale was delayed which they did not need to do. They were patient and flexible when we had trouble getting completion dates. All our furniture arrived intact. They also arranged to collect the boxes and packing paper to reuse which has positive environmental effects. The staff were cheery and friendly and made a stressful day non stressful

We cannot recommend Hadley & Ottaway enough. We recently moved house and relocated, with half our possessions being moved and half going into storage (also provided by the company). Mark and Sean arrived exactly on time (both days as it was a two day job) and worked tirelessly, efficiently & carefully, and were friendly and professional throughout. During what was a very stressful time they helped to put our minds at rest, and made the move far more enjoyable than expected. We will certainly be using Hadley & Ottoway for future moves, and would recommend them to anyone considering the same. Perfect, cannot fault them at all.

Hadley and Ottaway was the removals company I used for my recent house move. From the initial meeting regarding a quotation to the final collection of the boxes I'd used, the service provided by this company was exceptional. Not only was everyone I encountered, both face to face and on the phones, efficient and helpful but they were also very patient and just plain nice when I consulted them about any concerns or worries I had before and during moving day. I have nothing but praise for the guys who did the move itself. They inspired confidence with their calm and can-do approach, they were completely professional and we even managed to have a laugh which is just what you need on a stressful and emotional day.
