Gary and his team laid a resin drive for us, with edging and kerbs, and we were very pleased with the end product. Before the work, he talked us through the process and discussed our ideas before drawing up a detailed plan and checking we were happy with it at every stage. The work could only be done in the right weather conditions (no rain, not too cold, so the resin could cure), and he kept in regular contact as we waited for the right week. Then the actual work was done in a week, with a team on-site working hard every day. They encountered a few unexpected hiccoughs when breaking up the concrete, but they adapted and resolved the issues without any fuss. Communication was excellent throughout - recommended.

From start to finish, the whole team at Hertfordshire Driveways have been amazing. We had a resin bound driveway extension, a new garden patio and new turf. Gary was really good at helping us decide on all the details and throughout the whole process, communication has been excellent. When Lee and the team started the job, they arrived on time and we were amazed at how hard they worked and the amount they got done on the first day. Throughout the whole project, all the team were professional, polite and always happy to answer any questions we had. Carlos and Pete were here every day and didn’t stop, I think they only took a short break mid-morning each day, so they must have been exhausted. Our neighbours even commented how friendly and hard working they were! What really impressed me is the attention to detail. At every step, they really seemed to care about doing a top-quality job and always asked how we’d like something done. On the last day, they thoroughly cleaned up and even cleaned our neighbour's driveway too. We have been really impressed with Hertfordshire Driveways and would highly recommend them.

We decided to use Hertfordshire Driveways Ltd because we saw a driveway they had completed in Stevenage Old Town. Following a chat with the owner of the house, who was very happy with their work, we decided to get a quote for the replacement of our front driveway and rear garden patio. Gary made the selection of the various materials easy so that we had a style and finish to suit our personal taste. Lee, Carlos and Pedro arrived to do the work. They were always on time, hard-working and no problem to have around the house. Any minor changes, we required as the work progressed were easily dwell with. We are very impressed with the quality and look of the finished product, which has caused a lot of interest in the neighbourhood. A number of our neighbours have expressed how good it looks, in terms of finish and style, and a few have wanted a look at the back garden patio as well. We took a while to decide on what type of drive we wanted and what company we would use. We know we made good choices all round - we can recommend Hertfordshire Driveways Ltd without any hesitation.

When we first contacted Gary at Hertfordshire Driveways we were impressed by his attitude towards our plan and how he was prepared to listen to us and use his experience to ensure that the final plan would meet our needs and specification. As for Lee and the installation team they arrived on time, worked hard and kept us fully updated with progress. Their attention to detail ensured we were happy at every stage. The finished driveway exceeded our expectations and was completed on time and on budget.

This is the second time we have used this company which alone indicates our satisfaction with their workmanship, time keeping, cheerfulness and their desire to adhere to all aspects of the initial agreement from first visit to completion. A first class job.

We were very cautious when it came to choosing a company to do our driveway as you hear lots of horror stories! However, when Gary came to give a quote we knew from the start that we were going to use Hertfordshire Driveways and we are very glad we did! Gary was not pushy at all and brought many ideas and advice for designing our driveway. The team was able to start the job sooner than we expected which was excellent as they knew we were keen to get it done before heading into the winter. When we decided to invest in 2 new patios and a new path across the garden, we engaged a number of companies to quote for the project. It was clear from the start that Hertfordshire Driveways were a friendly, helpful and highly professional outfit. Gary offered clear advice as we developed our requirements and plans. His communication throughout the process was excellent. Lee and the installation team were professional and courteous with an attention to detail that puts many others to shame. They were an absolute pleasure to have on site. Overall, I can’t recommend Hertfordshire Driveways highly enough and would not hesitate to use them again.

Hertfordshire Driveways paved my driveway with Marshall blocks right up to the front door including a new manhole cover and a drain. I was very impressed with the speed and efficiency with which they worked. The job was completed on time and on (very reasonable) budget. Lee and his entire team handled the work as though it was a military operation. Great attention to detail, the finished result looks very good indeed, they thoroughly deserve their glowing reviews. I recommend them without reservation.

Gary, came to our house to inspect the job. He explained the potential issues with the work and he offered us several choices for the resurfacing. Gary came back a second time with some samples and he was always quick to respond to WhatsApp messages and emails. He produced a sketch plan and a quote. The quote was not the cheapest we had but we were willing to pay a bit more for a quality service from an experienced and accredited company. Videos and pictures of previous jobs helped to convince us. We believe that Gary gave us good advice. The job started on the agreed date and the building team is lead by Gary's colleague, Lee. Lee is very practical and obviously has a lot of experience. The team broke up the existing tarmac drive with a mini-digger and a contrator came and removed the debris within two hours. Lee consulted with us to check that we agreed the plans and pattern of the blocks. The majority of the blocks were laid on that first day and the job was finished by the afternoon of the second day. Our drive is only small at about 25sqm. There are trees adjacent to our drive and the HDL team were very careful not to damage them in any way. We were pleased with the time Gary took to introduce his Company and explain the options and pricing. The building team were professional and friendly. Communications were good throughout.

I cannot praise Hertfordshire Driveways Ltd highly enough. From start to finish they did a terrific job, easily on time and on budget. From early design involving several visits in person, with excellent planning and drawing to meet the needs of Letchworth Heritage Foundation (ours is a 'home of special interest in Letchworth's 'heritage area') we had a first-class service and faultless communications. Once underway, the men worked tirelessly and were considerate and most helpful - nothing was too much trouble and the attention they paid to detail was amazing. If ever I had work of a similar nature to do in the future, i would definitely re-engage Hertfordshire Driveways. I highly recommend them - our driveway has been transformed and all we have to do now is plant up the newly made flower beds.
