Gary, came to our house to inspect the job. He explained the potential issues with the work and he offered us several choices for the resurfacing. Gary came back a second time with some samples and he was always quick to respond to WhatsApp messages and emails. He produced a sketch plan and a quote. The quote was not the cheapest we had but we were willing to pay a bit more for a quality service from an experienced and accredited company. Videos and pictures of previous jobs helped to convince us. We believe that Gary gave us good advice. The job started on the agreed date and the building team is lead by Gary's colleague, Lee. Lee is very practical and obviously has a lot of experience. The team broke up the existing tarmac drive with a mini-digger and a contrator came and removed the debris within two hours. Lee consulted with us to check that we agreed the plans and pattern of the blocks. The majority of the blocks were laid on that first day and the job was finished by the afternoon of the second day. Our drive is only small at about 25sqm. There are trees adjacent to our drive and the HDL team were very careful not to damage them in any way. We were pleased with the time Gary took to introduce his Company and explain the options and pricing. The building team were professional and friendly. Communications were good throughout.

I cannot praise Hertfordshire Driveways Ltd highly enough. From start to finish they did a terrific job, easily on time and on budget. From early design involving several visits in person, with excellent planning and drawing to meet the needs of Letchworth Heritage Foundation (ours is a 'home of special interest in Letchworth's 'heritage area') we had a first-class service and faultless communications. Once underway, the men worked tirelessly and were considerate and most helpful - nothing was too much trouble and the attention they paid to detail was amazing. If ever I had work of a similar nature to do in the future, i would definitely re-engage Hertfordshire Driveways. I highly recommend them - our driveway has been transformed and all we have to do now is plant up the newly made flower beds.

Gary at Hertfordshire Driveways did a great job for us with good advice and assistance in choosing the right product at a competitive price. His team completed the work extremely efficiently and were a pleasure to have around. We now plan to use them again later in the year to replace decking at the rear of the house with matching blockwork.

We are very satisfied with Hertfordshire Driveways and the paving they have installed. After contacting the company Gary surveyed the property and helped us to make decisions about what would be appropriate. He visited a number of times to ensure that he had accurately interpreted our requirements. He offered a detailed plan and a breakdown of the costs. The quotation was the most competitive of the four companies approached. The team started the work on schedule and worked extremely hard. The guys on site were always friendly and polite and responded to any requests for changes as the work progressed. The work was carried out over four days of solid work and we are very happy with the quality. The site was left clean and tidy. Lee came the following day to make some finishing touches and check we were happy. All in all we are very satisfied with the results.

Just a few lines to say how pleased I am upon the completion of the paving of my frontage. My family, friends, neighbours and numerous passers-by have commented on how nice it all looks. It shows what can be achieved when a client/ contractor partnership works well. Initially I was a little concerned as Herts Drives has very little online presence, but I decided to give them a chance and get Gary and team to quote. I found their quotation very reasonable and their method including working up scale drawings to be incredibly thorough. There are not a huge number of drive companies offering resin and after much research I knew it was what I wanted without paying over the odds for this premium product. The team turned up exactly when expected and were hard-working and courteous. They were clear each step of the way what they were doing and what decision making would be needed to get me the drive I wanted. They were clearly highly skilled and experienced. I have already received many compliments on my new drive, and it has really completed my house renovation. I look forward to many years of use on my new drive, and I don't foresee there being any problems as it is wonderfully done and very low maintenance. However, having the 5 year guarantee is great for my peace of mind.

From the initial quotation through to the completion of the project , I cannot fault Gary and his team. The standard of work and attention to detail was 100 %. The work team were so quick , friendly and left no mess . Well recommended by me and neighbours.
