Communication with Gary was great from the first meeting. Talk through the options, what would be included and how the work would be carried out. Listened, took on board what we wanted, was flexible in approach and keen to ensure we'd be happy with the outcome. Very easy to work with. The pricing was very competitive and and was delivered to time and cost. Lee and the team onsite were friendly, helpful and polite and did a great job, we've had lots of comments from visitors saying how good the finished pathway looks. Great communication throughout. Hertfordshire driveways laid a new drive, side path and garden patio for us in Indian sandstone and we absolutely love the work. Arranged to visit my property for an estimate on a new driveway. I was called just before the agreed time and informed they were running late, could the appointment be rescheduled. Agreed to meeting two days later, but then failed to even show up.

Gary, Lee and the team at Hertfordshire Driveways have just completed two major projects for us in a two week period. From design to the actual build they have been excellent throughout. They work hard, clean up and consult with you all the way through the build if there are any unforeseen issues. The quality of their work is first class and they also provided tips on maintenance of both areas which is extremely helpful. Old patio removed and new patio installed on time with no drama. Workforce were easy to deal with and managed vehicle parking well and and kept the neighbours on side. Site left tidy and pleased with the new patio.

Their offer was competitive, the service they provided was well coordinated and very personable from start to finish, and the final product exceeded our expectations. Communications were reliable and timely and they adhered to promised timelines. The team who worked on our premises were polite and helpful causing minimum disruption. Excellent quality driveway from Gary and his team. Were on time on every day, cleaned up well after completing our shingle and block paved driveway and always responded to all queries immediately and provided an excellent service. Wish all construction work was as good as this.

From start to finish, the service provided by Gary, Lee and the boys was top notch. Gary provided professional advice on costing and general design communicating everything meticulously. A detailed drawing was provided to ensure we were both on the same page before work commenced. It definitely gave us piece of mind. Once a start date had been agreed, Lee and the boys were round at 0800 on the dot ready to start. Throughout the week they worked their socks off. They were organised, communicative and a genuine bunch of decent blokes. Lee kept me informed each day on what was being worked on and when each phase would be completed. The boys did a brilliant job and we are both very happy with our new drive. Personally speaking, getting reliable and skilled tradesmen seems to be a little 'hit and miss' these days which can make these experiences fraught with anxiety. From the first phone call & meeting with Gary who arrived as arranged & spot on time we knew instantly that we were dealing with a professional driveway company. The driveway installation & design was not easy due to our own very specific requirements, land layout & walls needed. For Gary no issue was too big or too much trouble to resolve, he went above & beyond, providing professional advice & finding solutions at every twist & turn! He was always easy to contact & truly committed to providing an excellent, extremely efficient customer service, something it seems is hard to find these days. Updated plans were returned extremely quickly, including our last-minute change of mind on paving block. On the day of install Lee & crew turned up on time, making sure before starting that we were all on the same page. These guys were truly professional, easy to deal with & worked extremely hard, even ploughing on through very heavy downpours. Throughout install, communication was maintained & site left tidy at the end of each day. Aftercare is top-notch, minor snagging done quickly, without hassle & all work carried out to timescale & budget. We are really pleased with the finished product & service provided by Hertfordshire Driveways Ltd. A number of people have commented how good it looks & we would happily recommend them to anyone who asks.

We had our drive rebuilt and an adjoining path and fence. The work was really well organised, was completed in a pleasingly short time and all to the quoted budget. They are a thoroughly professional company, right from Gary with the quote and site drawings/plans to Lee and his team on site. All really helpful and really nice people. Communication was timely and clear and our questions answered fully. The work was done to a high standard and finished much more quickly than we anticipated. We required a fairly large new patio and asked three companies to quote for the work. Gary of Hertfordshire Driveways reviewed the job and was very helpful in explaining exactly what was needed to be done and even provided detailed drawings to scale. Lee and the team - up to five people at times - carried out the work and clearly took great care and attention to even the smallest details. They all worked extremely hard and turned up every day until the job was completed (unlike some builders who start a job and then disappear every other day or so.) We are very satisfies with the new patio and would not hesitate to recommend Hertfordshire Driveways - a great experience from start to finish.

I found Hertfordshire Driveways Limited on a google search and the top listing was via Which. I phoned Gary to arrange a visit and from the outset his professionalism had us sold. Gary made multiple visits to us from the initial visit which really put our minds at ease during the consultation and design phase so that we knew exactly what we were going to be getting. Come the start of construction Gary's team arrived and were prompt with both setting up for the days work and with tidying up at the end of the working day which was imperative to us to ensure that our neighbours were disturbed as little as possible. The team worked quickly while also being meticulous in their delivery of the upmost quality and in constant conversation with us when changes had to be made on the fly due to our unique issues in levels of our build. Lee and the rest of the team that performed the construction were very polite and were more than happy to take the time out to answer any questions we had along the way. Big home improvement work can be somewhat overwhelming but in this case working with both Gary and Lee made this a very pleasurable experience and we wouldn't be happier with the final result.

Hertfordshire Driveways carried out work for new shingle driveway edged with grey paving and laying of new turf lawn to front and side of property. They had excellent communication from first visit and advice and were able to provide drawings and accurate quote promptly. The work was performed to agreed schedule and budget. The work was carried out very efficiently and to a high standard. The driveway has been complimented by several neighbours and passers by.

Lee and the gang arrived and took just over 4 days to complete the job, all the time working around us so that we were able to get in and out and made what could have been difficult really easy. This is the 2nd time we have used Hertfordshire driveways. They listened to what we wanted and helped create the driveway we wanted, including some tricky drainage solutions. The team worked really hard- arriving early and working efficiently to complete the job promptly. The communication with the whole team was excellent throughout. We wanted some amendments to the kerb stones used which was discussed and agreed with no issues. Overall a great experience and the end product was great. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
