We have been really pleased with our experience of Hertfordshire Driveways. They built our patio last year and, from that experience, we wanted them to upgrade our driveway this year. The whole process from design through to implementation was very well managed and we have had a lot of compliments about our drive. We had one small issue with the finished look but they were exceptionally quick at putting it right, with no quibbling. We felt we got exactly what we wanted. They are probably not the cheapest installer but we felt the price was worth the peace of mind and the delivery of a great product.

From the initial quotation through to the completion of the project , I cannot fault Gary and his team. The standard of work and attention to detail was 100 %. The work team were so quick , friendly and left no mess . Well recommended by me and neighbours.

We arranged a quote with Gary, Hertfordshire Driveway LTD. This was done very professionally and within a few weeks it was arranged our front drive would be done. I was sent a picture to check before, all the time being informed with dates and times. On the day, on time the team arrived and started and they worked so hard and fast, we were amazed. Gary popped by to check with the team all was going ok, and the team were very friendly helpful and mostly hard working with tea supplied obviously. I would definitely recommend, and we are thinking of other jobs in the future. 100% recommend and I would have no issues using again. Thank you Gary and your team!

We contracted Hertfordshire Driveways Ltd in May for an elevated garden patio and steps, having previously obtained quotes from other traders. Their offer was competitive, the service they provided was well coordinated and very personable from start to finish, and the final product exceeded our expectations. Communications were reliable and timely and they adhered to promised timelines. The team who worked on our premises were polite and helpful causing minimum disruption. We would happily use them again and whole heartedly recommend their services.

From start to finish, the service provided by Gary, Lee and the boys was top notch. Gary provided professional advice on costing and general design communicating everything meticulously. A detailed drawing was provided to ensure we were both on the same page before work commenced. It definitely gave us piece of mind. Once a start date had been agreed, Lee and the boys were round at 0800 on the dot ready to start. Throughout the week they worked their socks off. They were organised, communicative and a genuine bunch of decent blokes. Lee kept me informed each day on what was being worked on and when each phase would be completed. The boys did a brilliant job and we are both very happy with our new drive. Personally speaking, getting reliable and skilled tradesmen seems to be a little 'hit and miss' these days which can make these experiences fraught with anxiety. This experience was the complete opposite of that and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Hertfordshire Driveways.

I cannot praise Hertfordshire Driveways Ltd highly enough. From start to finish they did a terrific job, easily on time and on budget. From early design involving several visits in person, with excellent planning and drawing to meet the needs of Letchworth Heritage Foundation (ours is a 'home of special interest in Letchworth's 'heritage area') we had a first-class service and faultless communications. Once underway, the men worked tirelessly and were considerate and most helpful - nothing was too much trouble and the attention they paid to detail was amazing. If ever I had work of a similar nature to do in the future, i would definitely re-engage Hertfordshire Driveways. I highly recommend them - our driveway has been transformed and all we have to do now is plant up the newly made flower beds.

Gary, my initial contact, listened to what was required, made suggestions and we agreed a plan. I was in the middle of other building works so Gary was flexible on start dates which was much appreciated. Communication was always good and when the work commenced, Gary ensured I did a walk around with Lee who was coordinating the work. This was useful as we could discuss minor points. The work took just under 3 days with 5 workers for most of the middle day, meaning the work was completed faster than expected. They removed a few plants that were in the way and I have been able to replant. They also seemed to do quite a bit of weeding which was a surprise! I had a load of huge boulders that they took away. In fact, they left one, but I was really happy to see it had gone when they came to collect the last equipment. The workmen were punctual, polite and nothing was too much trouble. The arrival of lorries and materials seemed very efficient. We have a shared part to our drive and the men were considerate to our neighbours. Overall, I am really pleased with the work and have already been asked who carried out the work by a village resident looking to have work done.

Hertfordshire Driveways have just completed my shared driveway with my neighbour. Great communication all through the process with Gary and with the team onsite. Any queries regarding brick choices and layout were answered promptly and we were very pleased with the finished driveway.

After contacting Gary, a booking was made promptly. He was professional, listened to our ideas, wasn't selling an idea or had any agenda and worked with us to figure out the best way to achieve what we wanted. After a second meeting where he took more precise measurements, we got a hand-drawn scale drawing of the project. At no point were we waiting a long time for anything and communication was great throughout. He will most likely be the slightly more expensive quote, but it is more than worth it. We got exactly what we were after. Our project was brought forward by 2 months due to another job being pushed post new year. Despite the fact that they had maybe a weeks notice max, all materials were available when needed and there were no delays whatsoever. Nothing was too much trouble. He had plenty of pictures and videos of past work to give a good idea of what materials/colours would work best. For the actual work, Lee and his team were outstanding. Can't say a bad word about any of them. Lee, Carlos, Pedro and the rest (sorry I forgot your names!) were a pleasure to have around. Again, nothing was too much trouble, they kept us updated of progress, got our opinions on how best to do certain things and were on time every day and left the area tidy each evening. We now have a block paved driveway, a beautiful retaining wall and ramp access to a side door for motorcycle use. 10 times better than anything we imagined and will use them again in a heartbeat. Gary and his team laid a nice block paved driveway for us, supplied paperwork to help us with the approval from Letchworth Heritage Corp and managed the process professionally. The actual job only took a few days as they had a big team working on it. The whole thing was painless, recommended.

We had our drive rebuilt and an adjoining path and fence. The work was really well organised, was completed in a pleasingly short time and all to the quoted budget. They are a thoroughly professional company, right from Gary with the quote and site drawings/plans to Lee and his team on site. All really helpful and really nice people. They use quality materials and do not skimp on the construction. Plus they guarantee their work. We would definitely recommend them.

Gary, Lee and the team did a great job from start to finish. When quoting, Gary was punctual, efficient and polite, we received the quote when promised, along with multiple pictures of similar projects that Hertfordshire Driveways have completed. Work started as agreed and the team were friendly and polite, they worked incredibly hard in dreadful weather and we're delighted with the finished patio.

We required a fairly large new patio and asked three companies to quote for the work. Gary of Hertfordshire Driveways reviewed the job and was very helpful in explaining exactly what was needed to be done and even provided detailed drawings to scale. Lee and the team - up to five people at times - carried out the work and clearly took great care and attention to even the smallest details. They all worked extremely hard and turned up every day until the job was completed (unlike some builders who start a job and then disappear every other day or so.) We are very satisfies with the new patio and would not hesitate to recommend Hertfordshire Driveways - a great experience from start to finish.

To the installation lead by Lee and his hardworking team, the whole process was an utter pleasure and I truly wish more companies were like these guys. Everything was to schedule and budget. They think of the smallest details, go out of their way to deliver an impeccable service. And are the happiest, politest and friendliest bunch I have ever come across, not many would stop what they were doing to help you in with your shopping! The job is so good we have had people from streets away coming up asking who installed our drive, all our neighbours are also extremely impressed and full of compliments. I wish they did other building work as they would be the only company I ever used! And I cannot stop smiling at how fabulous my drive and back garden looks! Thank you guys!

We recommend Gary and his team @ Hertfordshire Driveways Ltd with the strongest possible endorsement. They built a garden patio and planting area for our back garden and were incredibly meticulous. The planning was excellent, they were always on time with all aspects of the work and actually completed it with a quality that was beyond our expectations. They even came back to us proactively to highlight that some of the quoted work was not required and therefore the total bill would be less! Gary and colleagues were friendly but never intrusive. After finishing the job, they cleared all building mess so that no work was required by us to clean after them - they even made our front driveway look better. There were no issues whatsoever with the work undertaken and we are delighted to recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, friendly and cost effective job!

Gary spent a long time with me discussing my options, drawing up detailed plans, and providing quotes for a number of paving materials to choose from. Absolutely no pressure. He worked hard to get a date for the work that fitted with my own schedule. Lee and his team of installers were very professional and experienced, working as a well oiled team. Very efficient and friendly, and happy to answer questions, although I didn't have many as their expertise was clear and they kept me involved with any decisions that needed making. The end product was way above my expectations, and completed well inside the agreed timescale whilst delivering a high quality job. Everything was left clean and tidy when the work was complete.

Hertfordshire driveways laid a new drive, side path and garden patio for us in Indian sandstone and we absolutely love the work. Gary was a pleasure to deal with in terms of plans and advice, helpfully segmenting the quote so we could understand each section’s cost and then Lee and his team who completed the work at our house were wonderful. So happy with the end result, very professional and happy to answer questions/give advice it’s completely transformed our outdoor area - thoroughly recommend!

We're very happy with the work done by Hertfordshire Driveways from the inital survey and quote through to the installation and finish. Communication was timely and clear and our questions answered fully. The work was done to a high standard and finished much more quickly than we anticipated. We changed our minds on an element of the final design which Karl replaced with good will minimal fuss. Would definitely re7commend this company.

This is the 2nd time we have used Hertfordshire driveways. They listened to what we wanted and helped create the driveway we wanted, including some tricky drainage solutions. The team worked really hard- arriving early and working efficiently to complete the job promptly. The communication with the whole team was excellent throughout. We wanted some amendments to the kerb stones used which was discussed and agreed with no issues. Overall a great experience and the end product was great. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
