Home Smart installed our Solar Panels in April 2023. The whole process went without any hitches. On the day the electrician who was to install the system arrived first, with the battery etc. He explained how the day would run. The solar installers arrived and we were amazed how quick the panels were installed by.They all worked as a team and the whole installation was completed in half a day. The electrician explained how the system would work once turned on. He loaded the app on my phone which gives you an overview of what?s going on. He also gave us tips to get the most out of the system. Our electricity bills never really changed much from summer to winter but our bills through this year so far have been been well below 50% of what they were. With winter round the corner it will be interesting how our bills perform. The whole installation was trouble free and the installers wee excellent.

Fitted solar panels and storage battery under a scheme originally promoted by Essex County Council

Applied for a solar energy system through the Wokingham Council scheme. The whole process went smoothly. The surveyor, scaffolding team and electrician contacted us to make appointments before turning up. The surveyor took his time to explain everything in detail to our satisfaction so that we knew what to expect from the system to be installed. The 14 solar panels were tidily installed and look great on our roof. The electrician showed us everything we needed to know of how our system worked before leaving. The scaffolding was removed 2 days later which I thought was quite prompt. Highly recommended.

Dealing with Home Smart Energy, their surveyor, the scaffolders, solar panel fitters & electrician was a very good confidence building experience. I had little understanding of the statutory documentation that was required but Home Smart Energy did it all for me. Professional from the moment I accepted their quote through some necessary specification changes to the instal and first power generation then helping me through understanding the inverter control system. The comprehensive statutory documentation and guarantees were quickly processed and delivered allowing me to benefit from self sufficient power & income generation. I had a solar system with batteries installed by Home Smart Energy. I was first provided with an estimate based on the average for homes like mine. This was followed up by a home visit to verify the installation details and to confirm the final parts. I had been given advise from a friend to make sure I had certain extras. Most of these were already recommended, but there was one part my friend suggested they missed. When we discussed this, I then found it, it was only needed for homes with trees causing shade. (Which my friend has!). So they advised in my case it wasn?t needed! Very happy to save spending money on something I didn?t need! The quote only changed as I chose to add some extras, so I was very pleased with the original and final estimates. They organised to have scaffolding delivered a few days before the work was done. On the day, and electrician arrived first to setup the electrical components. Two hours later the guys arrived to install the panels. They finished their job in less than 2 hrs. A couple of days later the scaffolding was removed. The whole process from beginning to end was simple and pain free. The final thing they took care of was the paperwork to allow me to sell back to the grid. This took 8 weeks to be verified, just as the predicted. I have recommended then to a number of friends and cannot speak more highly by the professional way they handled the job. If only all trade professionals could be as easy to work with!
