In-Excess were amazing from start to finish. We had a tight exchange/completion window and they were supportive and clear with everything we needed to do. We also had a packer for the day who was absolutely incredible - Brad - thank you! Special thanks to Gareth who was just a calming influence on the day. Nothing was too much trouble and they were super fast with everything. Though we won't be moving again I would hands down never use anyone else other than these guys. Professional, polite and hard working - will always recommend :)

We asked In Excess to help us at short notice ( less than 2 weeks) to move us from a second home in Dorset and to distribute contents to three different addresses in the Berkhamsted /Tring area. They arrived on time, worked tirelessly during a really hot day to pack us up in Dorset and then deliver to the three addresses next day. In-Excess recently completed our house move for us and we were delighted with their service. Their quote was competitive, they were extremely helpful throughout the move, providing boxes and materials as soon as we booked and happily answering questions whenever we thought of them. We chose to do the packing ourselves and the removals team were friendly, polite, very efficient and dissembled and reassembled our large furniture as necessary. The move went very smoothly, everything was well looked after and the boxes collected soon after we’d finished unpacking. In-Excess were recommended to us by a friend and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them ourselves.

This is the second time I have used In Excess removals, I booked them again following a very smooth and professional move in 2010. They didn’t disappoint, very friendly, helpful staff both in office and the van crew. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, I wouldn’t use anyone else. 10/10

A friend recommended In Excess to me while I was doing the usual and getting quotes for a recent house move. A recommendation goes a long way in my view and In Excess did not disappoint. From the initial telephone conversation with Steve, through the quote, done the way you prefer ( I prefer face to face as they’re the experienced ones and need to see how much stuff you’ve actually got), to the final move. Everything went smoothly, the team works likes a dream and they are so fast! But equally efficient and extremely polite. Shenda is also a dream and a real “people person” while remaining professional. My move happened, everything went quickly and smoothly, the boxes were collected… job done! We’re moving again in 12 months… to France, In Excess will be the first number I call! I cannot recommend this family run business enough, it’s great value for money and huge! Everything was smooth. Moving can be so stressful... the day of the move was not! The 3 guys doing our move did a wonderful job. So friendly, listened to what items were valuable to us and took care of everything. They left boxes and all the furniture in the rooms we wanted. We would highly recommend the company. They also moved a piano for us and this was also done very well. Thank you for making everything stress free.

From the day they first came around to quote to the day we completed our move, In Excess have been a real pleasure to work with. Their office staff have always been friendly and helpful...and patient when the moving dates took forever to secure! The team did a fantastic job during our '3-day move' across the country. On day 1, John, Harry and Jack cleared our house of furniture, taking great care and constantly being polite and accommodating. After completion on day 2, they returned our house contents to us on day 3. John, Harry, Chris, Riley and Geoff worked so hard and had us fully moved in before 2pm. Considering our new home has a steep driveway, they worked so hard, carrying all our belongings up the slope from the vans at the bottom! They remained cheerful despite the gradient challenges (tea helps!), they were again polite and helpful and even moved the lorry when someone needed to get past. I would recommend In Excess to anyone needing to move locally or distance!

From the moment of getting the quote, the team arrived to pack things on Tuesday and move me into the new house on Wednesday everything was stress-free. Not an easy time for anyone moving, but when there is only yourself it is even more stressful. In Excess Removals we’re a great help, they took care of packing my possessions expertly, removed unwanted furniture and quickly unloaded everything the other end.
