In-Excess were very helpful, from the time of visiting to give a (very competitive) quote, to completion of our move. We chose to pack ourselves, and lots of advice was given re how to pack awkward and fragile items. The move was done over 2 days, outdoor and garage things on day one in 2 large box vans, and the house contents in one HUGE van on completion day. They provided seemingly unlimited boxes, paper, tape and bubble wrap in the weeks leading up to our move. The girls in the office were so helpful and reassuring especially when others in our chain repeatedly changed completion date. The team of men who moved us were fabulous!! A massive thank you to them, they were fast, efficient, patient and in good humour all day- nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend In-Excess and wouldn't hesitate in using them again if ever we decided to move again.

From start to finish a great service. From getting an initial quote, booking a date, receiving packing supplies to move day was faultless. We contacted them just two weeks before our moving date as our previous removals company had let us down. They were prompt and professional and had us signed up after a zoom that afternoon at our property to gauge a quote. That afternoon we had all the packaging we required delivered and the next day everything in writing. As our moving day was a fairly big one from South to North it was performed over two days. The staff arrived on time and were very courteous and professional and nothing seemed too much trouble. Our furniture was packed safely and securely. It was taken to be stored overnight and then they arrived the next day again on time with the same professionalism and all furniture promptly and safely delivered. Both my husband and I have no hesitation in recommending this family-run removals company, they allowed our move to run smoothly and stress-free.

We had 2 removals, 1 week apart both from the South to the North. Both moves went exceptionally smoothly. Both sets of removal teams were extremely professional and friendly. Great packing too. Super quick. Could not fault. Highly recommend. Very reasonable on cost.

Got the job done! Brilliant service from this in-excess down to the excellent skills at driving too as my road was very narrow and curved. Navigated the large removals Lorry round. Got to work immediately, three men on the job and we’re done and dusted in no time. We met again at the other end in the new house and even the rain didn’t stop these guys. Would certainly recommend in-excess!

In Excess couldn't have been more helpful from the initial enquiry to the last minute of the actual moving day. Their staff are all cheerful, experienced and well trained with a can-do attitude which was a refreshing change from previous local removal companies we have used. That, combined with a flexible and realistic way of working made moving a lot less stressful. Offering helpful suggestions and solutions their team got the job done and made it look easy.
