I can’t recommend highly enough. From the quote from the lovely owner to booking in and getting extra packing materials and removal into storage with a super efficient team of movers. A truly lovely family business who know their stuff and do it really well.

From start to finish, Steve, Shenda, Louise and the team were absolutely brilliant. We used them to remove our furniture and personal effects from our house in Berkhamsted, store everything for about 7 months then move us into our new home in Lymington. Unlike another reviewer, our experience of their handling of a relatively small insurance claim was first-rate. Highly recommended!

We were really impressed with the service that we received from the moment we phoned the In-Excess office. They were organised, professional and friendly. On the day, the team removed so much stress by being punctual, efficient and supportive! They worked quickly and took care with all of our possessions ensuring no breakages. Would definitely recommend this company.

Great service from the office team (Shenda, Louise and Steve) and a smooth removal process on the day. Never any trouble for extra boxes, bubble wrap, tape etc and deposit returned quickly once boxes had been taken back. The move was discussed and the date for moving changed many times due to other factors. It was easy to make contact and check with them, and the move went smoothly as far as the physical transport of our contents was concerned. It is always said that one of the most stressful things in life is moving home and whilst I never wish to again I cannot recommend highly enough Steve and his team. We had several delayed exchanges because of legal problems but the operations team would always bend over backwards to accommodate the move of 2 properties into 1 (and possibly but luckily not, into storage). When it eventually came to the move the packers were careful, friendly and considering of the need to live overnight in the property. The movers were hard working, friendly and could not do enough to oblige even when changing minds as to whether a box should be on the ground or second floor. The staff of In Excess show a strong loyalty to their organisation and are a credit to them. Highly recommended.

From the very start of the process the staff were extremely professional, efficient, friendly and helpful. I was not looking forward to moving but the office team did their upmost to make it go as smoothly as possible. On move day itself, Gareth and the guys were just amazing. They were friendly, super helpful and extremely hard working, enduring a late finish. I can't thank you all enough for making my move less stressful. You are a great team! I was very anxious about moving house but from the moment Steve Yates arrived to give estimate things became so much easier. On the day the team of three, Shenda, Jordan and Team Leader Lee took care of everything! They were very professional, yet friendly, courteous and extremely hard working. I was downsizing and the house size (plus the parking arrangements) caused several problems that I assumed could not be solved; I was so wrong, the ingenious methods they came up with to get large pieces of furniture up a very narrow staircase amazed me!!!! I would certainly recommend this company and it was nice to know that you were supporting a local family business. Thank you again In-Excess. Definitely 5-star service.
