David renovated three bathrooms in our Victorian house: two full shower rooms taken back to brick and rebuilt completely, plus a smaller WC updated with new fixtures. The project was finished on the agreed schedule of 12 days and stayed within the budget discussed. What set him apart was how he handled the inevitable surprises in an old house. He uncovered water infiltration in walls and floors and found two hidden plumbing leaks. He dealt with all of it immediately, explained the causes, outlined the fix, and kept the work without delays. Every issue was resolved properly and through open communication. His first impression held true throughout: clear communication, straightforward explanations, organised workflow, pragmatism, and a consistently clean work area. Having had several quotes for the work to renovate a family bathroom, David from Inspired Renovations Ltd. was the most impressive in terms of ideas and competitive pricing. It was quite a long lead time to get the work started, but this was made clear at the time of the quote, and the date, both in terms of start and finish, was accurate, as was the cost. From the start, we found David very easy and pleasant to work with. The standard of his work is absolutely first class, particularly his tiling, plumbing, and carpentry, all of which he does personally. He takes great pride in his workmanship and justly so. David was recommended to me by a friend who David has completed a bathroom for and she was so impressed with his work. David is really friendly and professional and kept us up to date about when he would be able to start the work. A previously small unused single loo and sink room has been combined with our airing cupboard to create a gorgeous shower room! The difference is incredible!! David then transformed our main bathroom into a gorgeous haven - including a beautiful bath, shower, loo, sink and unit. It is unrecognisable! We are over the moon with both rooms and so impressed with David’s hard work and the standard of this (and those of the trades he has support from). David arranged all of the support he needed which took away any co-ordination and stress for us. We trusted David completely so more than happy for him to be there whilst we were at work. We required the complete transformation of our shower-over-bathtub arrangement into a walk-in, sit-down shower, a job which also involved the replacement and relocation of washbasin, bidet and WC, as well as the installation of a better extractor, not to mention new tiles, floor and redecorating. All this David carried out to a very high standard and to schedule. And, off his own bat, he rehung the bathroom door - so that we no longer have to fight it. And he left everything clean and tidy. Top marks all round.

David is an excellent craftsman. He took a couple of weeks to completely refurbish our ensuite: ceiling replacement, wall retiling, reflooring, shower panels and all plumbing. He provided a detailed initial quotation with ideas that fully matched our specification. His attention to detail and flexibility were highly professional and the finished ensuite was wonderful. We employed David Demestre to do extensive work on a 1950s bungalow we bought. In just 10 weeks Inspired Restorations converted a garage into a study/bedroom; changed a large bathroom into two areas: an ensuite and a guest bathrom; they fixed the roof and insulated the attic; they completely remodelled the kitchen; they built a front porch, painted over the pebbledash, replaced some windows and made the side entrance secure; did extensive internal decoration and discovered parquet flooring under the carpets, which they then restored. Everything was done to a very high standard, and on time, by David and his excellent subcontractors: they were all friendly, highly skilled and versatile. David was particularly good at interpreting our ideas, at making excellent improvements to them, and gently dissuading us from unwise choices! His approach ensured we always stayed within budget, and we soon discovered what a perfectionist he was in all he did. He responded swiftly to any problems or queries, and chased up external delays robustly. All in all, David and his team were outstanding, and deserve 6 stars!

In our experience it became apparent from the very first contact that David from Inspired Restorations was refreshingly different to his competitors. I cannot recommend David enough. He is honest, communicative, caring and fair. He renovated everything in my 3-bedroom house in Marston including re-plastering, redecorating, new ceilings, new floors, new carpets, new internal doors, skirting boards and architraves, insulating the loft, new electrics, central heating and hot water cylinder, plumbing, gas, kitchen, bathroom and the creation of a new downstairs toilet. Basically, he left me with an entirely new house! He even sorted out the garden, some new blinds, lampshades and a new washing machine so that the house was ready to move into straight away. His quote was very good value for money and he worked to budget. I was abroad during the project. David patiently worked around my timetable, started as soon as the house was empty and completed the works on time. We sought the services of David to fully renovate, including open plan, a house we bought in Central Headington. David renovated the main bathroom, toilet and upstairs shower room in my period cottage, work which could have been extremely disruptive but was carried out with careful planning and consideration to minimise any impact. He was very helpful in the planning process and made suggestions which I had not considered, without ever pushing his ideas. Dave refurbished the kitchen in the cottage we had just bought. We did not want to spend too much so we kept the carcasses and had new doors and a new oven stack. We also reused all our old handles. Dave was great in the planning stage and didn’t try and push us into spending more than needed. We were very pleased with the result. Most of the fitting was actually done by Barry who often works with Dave, also excellent. Dave came on the 1st day and the last day to finish off and make sure all was OK. We are expecting Dave to come and do our bathroom later this summer.

David and his subcontractors recently renovated our bathroom. He patiently support our decision making and cheerfully undertook the work. He kept us up to date with progress and timings. We’re really happy with the finished product and would really recommend him.

We used Inspired to overhaul our bathroom in 2021, not due to recommendation but because of his attitude when he came to assess the job for quotation. David didn't try to impose his ideas or steer us to things he wanted (unlike some others!). He has a "can do" attitude and takes the unexpected in his stride (there's always the unexpected in this type of work). A year later we asked Inspired back to tackle our kitchen, which involved major wall demolition, complete re-wiring and re-plastering. Which was all completed to a very high standard. Even when the flooring supplier let us down, he found time in his schedule to come back and lay it when it was finally delivered. Nothing seems too much trouble. David has been renovating our >30-year-old estate-built house; a room a year for several years with the exercise now almost compete. David recently renovated my kitchen, after I’d been impressed by the bathroom installation work he did for me last year. David is well organised and all the sub contracting involved (electrician, gas engineer, plasterer, flooring installer) was done as scheduled and to a high standard. David’s own work is similarly timely yet meticulous. He is also very easy going and adaptable - when I dithered indecisively over my choices he was patiently accommodating. David and his team recently renovated a house which I am planning to let out. They gutted and fitted a new bathroom, painted the whole house, checked the wiring and fitted new sockets and smoke alarms, and fitted new hard floors and carpets. David has recently refitted both our shower room and en-suite. Some structural work was required and David checked everything before commencing and had to be creative in the design. This he did without any problem, plus he consulted with us at every step. From his initial site visit to the final finishing details he was punctual, respectful and helpful. His prices are very reasonable for the quality of workmanship. He makes the project as easy for the customer as possible and in himself is a very pleasant friendly person to have working in your home, making it all a very nice experience. We had David do a complete bathroom replacement upstairs and install a new shower cubicle downstairs. The quality of all the workmanship is extremely good and we are very pleased with the results and the price. Throughout the process David kept us up to date on timings and any decisions or setbacks that happened. His attention to detail is excellent and we really liked being involved in the little, as well as big, decisions that needed to be made. In addition to the main bathroom work he also did a number of small jobs for us, which was great to be able to have someone around who could turn his hand to multiple tasks, and was able to finish everything off very neatly. When needed, David also organised electricians and heating engineers to come in for appropriate parts of the job, and he handled all the arrangements and made it really seamless. Personally, David is really friendly, easy to talk to, and great at listening to what we wanted and coming up with suggestions. He was very flexible and we were able to sort things out nicely, despite the current difficult lockdown situation. From the start to the finish David was professional, personable and a delight to work with. He clearly cares a lot about his work and we will definitely be getting him back for other jobs in the future. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

David was my first choice for our bathroom refits from our first meeting. As other reviews have said, not the cheapest but not the most expensive either and definitely worth the wait (he will have a waiting list, but get yourself on there!) He is a perfectionist with an eye for detail and if you're not happy with anything, he has ideas up his sleeve! He is a pleasure to have working in your home and will produce beautiful results for you. He communicates well and you know what is happening if subcontractors (electrician and plasterer) are coming. Poor David had the unenviable task of having to break our job into parts because of lockdown and left us with a functioning (if not fully finished) bathroom to be able to utilise until he was able to return and finish the job to his meticulously high standards. We are very happy with the results and I smile every time I go in. Definitely worth the wait, and I'll miss our chatting!
