An efficient and effective annual service was carried out on our Combi Boiler. A welcome reminder was previously provided by the office, and Rob arrived on time and was professional, courteous, friendly, and helpful throughout the visit. Rob is always highly communicative and provided full details of the work to be conducted. The work area was left tidy and clean. I have used Platinum Plumbers for many years and strongly recommend them.

Complete bathroom refurbishment - great all round service

Huge thanks to Rob and the team for just finishing a complete bathroom refit in my flat: fixtures, fittings, flooring and floorboards, the tiles and the walls themselves. The job covered everything from initial scoping before the quote, a solid bit of design and procurement, all the construction work and tidying up well at the end. Rob clearly knows his stuff, giving a reassuring and knowledgeable set of views and advice on the first visit without bamboozling me with jargon. The quote and design information was comprehensive with some excellent choices of fixtures and fittings. All through the job I can’t fault the service or craftsmanship. The initial tear-down work by Sam & Harley was impressively fast, and the team made sure to leave enough of the essentials in my single-bathroom flat so it was still habitable for the duration. Serxho’s construction and installation work was excellent and quick, including coming round again at short notice to fix a slightly faulty valve we discovered. (A manufacturing issue, we concluded.) The plastering, tiling and flooring work was also swift and high quality – thank you to that part of the team too. And also not forgetting Alice and Joanne in the office for their support as well, I really appreciate your clear and friendly messages and instructions. All told, I definitely recommend Rob and the Platinum Plumbers team: great service, quality work, friendly people and an excellent new bathroom. Thanks again, all!

As usual excellent service from Rob and his team at Platinum Plumbers. We had this boiler fitted by Rob 7 years ago and it has not let us down. The service was professionally carried out and advice given regarding future work that would be needed next year. I would highly recommend Platinum Plumbers to anyone needing a service or a new boiler.

I had a leak in my shower and contacted a lot of different plumbers. Only 2 or 3 of them noticed the bigger problem of rotten wooden joists under the shower. I went with Platinum Plumbers as they had good customer service. Rob is very communicative and they have an office you can email/call to keep you up to date on progress. As the job was much bigger than I first anticipated, it was weight off my shoulders to have Rob take over the management of the project. Otherwise I would have had to contact and try to manage separate contractors for the plumbing, carpentry, tiling etc. I am happy with the quality of the work, especially the tiling, and would recommend Platinum Plumbers.

I received great service from these guys - I was able to get an appointment with a few hours notice, and the team who did a diagnostic on my boiler (it was making a funny noise) were great, and fixed small things on the spot (this was included in the price). Definitely going to use them again if I have boiler / plumbing issues.

A leek caused by an old connection that had been botched previously. On inspection the solution needed a pan connector as well as the flush cone so budget was increased a little. The work was done quickly and competently. I was pleased with the result.

Made shower room for disabled, from old bathroom

Platinum Plumbers made extensive alterations to the house, to convert an upstairs bathroom into a shower room with level access for a disabled person. Rob, the owner of the business, carefully discussed, noted and priced each part of the work, so that both of us were clear what to expect. He aimed to work thoroughly, so that there would be no leaks etc even years after his plumbers had left. With one exception he succeeded. (Afterwards I was able to make a tool and remedy the defect myself). Justin, the supervisor, works so well with customers. He usually checked with me to fit the pipes etc just where I wanted them, and was willing to alter their position if in the wrong place. I used Platinum Plumbers again only a few weeks later. They renewed a cold water tank in the loft, with all the pipework. They worked hard and completed all the work successfully in one long day.

The job was unsatisfactory from start to finish. The boiler code was incorrect on quote – lucky I checked. Their supplier delivered wrong boiler – if I had not spotted I think they would have installed it anyway. Despite rain and slippery conditions they removed old boiler flue by standing on first floor window ledge outside rather than using a ladder (dangerous since concrete below). Hence job was not done carefully and resulted in damage to brickwork. The flue stuck out too far because they did not cut it off and had to re-do the following day (at my request). They did not clip the boxed flue properly (I was then charged extra for this to be redone since they needed to cut into boxing and re-plaster). They did not know how to commission boiler since it was a new model. Rather than taking the old boiler away for recycling, per their quote, they left it on the street overnight for scavengers to collect. They failed to remove rubbish from site per quote, preferring to ask to use the block’s bin room. We agreed to this, but our bin room subsequently overflowed as a result. The job was meant to last 2 days, but lasted 3 weeks due to the re-clipping and some unavoidable illness.
