John was incredibly thorough, friendly and knowledgeable when controlling a rodent problem at my property. He explained the choice of poison, having a fast effect and minimal stress on the rodents. He gave the treatment sufficient time to take effect, waiting a number of weeks with regular visits throughout. The cost fairly reflected the service provided. Given that the property is a flat, it was not possible to identify the access points and source of entry but it is reassuring to know that I can now call on J&J for any future reoccurrences (if any) with an ethical and fast resolve. It was a pleasure to have John in the property. 10/10.

I contacted John to treat a mouse problem. Never having had a mouse issue before, I was totally naive to the extent of the situation. John explained how the treatment worked and what to expect. John was so helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. He made 5 visits in all until he was sure they were gone and this was covered under one final payment. Amazing service and will not hesitate to use in the future.

John came to treat a bed bug problem in our main bedroom. He was excellent from the initial phone call. Really knowledgeable and patient in answering our questions. Made sure we were fully aware of how to prepare, what to expect, and what to do (or not do) after the treatment. The treatment itself seemed to be very thorough, and John was friendly and informative throughout. We'd had a bad experience with a non-registered company 4 weeks ago who had done a poor job. John was a total contrast, and very reassuring. He clearly takes pride in his work. His treatment is also excellent value, especially given the promise of a return visit should that be required (which it can be, with bed bugs). Would recommend him highly.

At the outset John quoted for the job of ridding our garden shed and small garden of a rat infestation. Mr Jorsta fitted grid around solar panels to stop squirrels running underneath (very noisy and chewy!) and blocked up access to my roof space to stop them coming in. We contacted J & J Pest Prevention to deal with a wasps nest on the exterior of our property. He was pleasant to deal with, dealt with the problem promptly, effectively and professionally and charged a reasonable rate for the work.

John came to fix a new set of bird-deterrent spikes onto my roof after a previous set installed by another trader came off in high winds. He turned up on the date and time expected, scraped the roof tiles to make sure the new spikes had good adherence and installed the spikes all the way along the ridge of the roof and behind any projections such as the soil pipe. He removed all of the old spikes from the previous installation and left things tidy. I am very happy with the work he carried out for me.

John was helpful and reliable. As well as dealing with the problem he gave really good advice on reducing any future problems. The price was fixed at the outset so no unpleasant surprises or bills. He stayed with the job until we were both happy that everything had been resolved. I would strongly recommend him.

John from J&J cleaned prepared and spiked portions of the roof and gutters at my building, which so far seems to have solved the problem. I was impressed that, despite having a full diary, J and J Pest Prevention made an effort to attend my property the next day after I contacted him, as I was concerned that I had a significant rodent infestation in my attic that needed to be dealt with promptly. The proposed schedule of treatment comprised three visits but came with an assurance that further visits would be carried out if necessary at no extra cost until the problem was resolved. In fact, five visits were needed to make sure that the issue was solved and the price on the invoice was exactly what was agreed. The treatments they put down were effective in killing off any rodents in the property and he also helped me identify how they were getting in, so that I could take action to seal that entrance. Overall I was very satisfied with their reliability, punctuality and the work he carried out for me.

John was very thorough and professional whilst dealing with some 'suspected critters' in my house - it took a while to come to a conclusion with these house invaders but John was always there each week, checking everything meticulously. John has a very personable manner about him and he's also respectful of your property too and explains everything in detail.

John was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and went beyond the usual remit by inspecting both the outside of the block as well as my flat. John of J & J Pest Prevention was very well informed and efficient. He communicated in a friendly but professional manner. The wasps in our garden were in an inaccessible overhang but he explained that this was not a problem and dealt with the wasp nest very calmly and effectively. There is no way that we could have managed to eradicate the nest which was invisible. He was reassuring about how to manage the aftermath of the treatment which came with a guarantee.

Mr Jorsta rid our garden of rats from the neighbourhood which came to feed in our garden. (There was no evidence that any of them lived on our premises.) It was done to the agreed budget. He explained that he would leave several secure bait boxes in places where the rats seemed to go, and check them approximately weekly to see if the rats were eating the bait. The schedule would depend on the rats, and work would continue until no bait had been taken on two successive visits a week apart. In our case seven visits were necessary. There were no problems during the treatment. We are very satisfied with the service we received, and the way in which it was delivered.

Mr Jorsta is an experienced pest control expert and with his excellent knowledge of his field he gives a very professional and reliable service. He was very friendly and happy to answer all questions about the process, from why the infestation had occurred, how he would deal with it and what to expect. He was always on time for each visit, put down additional bait stations when needed at no extra charge and disposed of remains when they occurred. His price estimate was very reasonable and his final invoice was as expected. I am very happy with the job he did and would definitely use him again if the pests reappear. Could not recommend John highly enough. He is friendly, knowledgable and thorough. Our suspected mouse problem was shared with our neighbour, and he visited both properties several times in order to ascertain how mice were getting into our shared underfloor space, and resolve the issue. I had a swarm of honey bees in the chimney which was a real nuisance as they were finding their way into the house. I contacted JJ and he came round immediately to access the problem. He is qualified to deal with honey bees and was able to give me a quote there and then. He also noticed a wasps nest which he said he would also deal with. He completed the work after a small hitch due to unforeseen circumstances and the house is now free of bees and there are no signs of bees or wasps buzzing around. JJ was very professional and knowledgeable and the charge was very reasonable. He guaranteed the work for a year which I considered a sign of his ability to solve the problem. He is also a pleasant person to deal with and I have already recommended him to my neighbour.

John carried out the work needed quickly, tidily and efficiently. He was very pleasant and courteous and kept me posted on what was happening throughout. I have been battling (and not winning) a silverfish infestation. Eventually giving in, and contacting John. I am so delighted with the overall service, price, John's knowledge and how helpful he was, that I will now use him regularly - even if the silverfish do not return, he tells me, the same insecticide that he used for the silverfish, will work on spiders too (I'm spider phobic!). A special mention is that when John arrived, he spend very considerable time explaining things to me and answering my many questions, over and above his quoted price, but he would not take any extra monies. John came across as a very genuine and honest chap and I felt very confident trusting him in my home. Many thanks John!

I cannot recommend John Jorsta more highly. A very kind and helpful man with lots of helpful advice. He advised what I should do regarding the moths larvae that I suddenly realised I had in my living room. Having taken his advice, I was still concerned in case there were any still lurking in my room. He advised a certain moth trap that he kindly ordered for me and I had absolute confidence in him that should there be any still lurking or more come in another time, the particular trap he recommended would do the trick. I am so relieved to find that it has. There is one tiny dead carpet moth stuck in it. I will recommend him to everyone I know, a very honest, knowledgable and helpful man, excellent time keeper too and nothing too much trouble.

I am so impressed by the serivce and the work John has done. From first contact through to completion he was fantastic. I had problems with pigeons and he has solved the problem significantly better value than other quotes received.

Prompt response to our initial request for help. John had a clear understanding of our problem which related to having rats in the building. We recently discovered we might have an issue with rats in our loft. John turned up on turn, was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about rodent issues - he immediately identified the issue, set up traps to resolve the issue, and attended several times to check how things were going. We called John to help us with a difficult rodent issue. He was prompt in his response and kept on the case until the issue was resolved -- which took three different approaches and several weeks. At the start he was clear on how he would approach the problem and the costs (which, we thought, were quite reasonable). This guy is a legend - I called at 6 am very distressed with 200 wasps suddenly appearing in my house - Johnathan called me back - they came out to the house and it transpires they were honey bees and the nest was my neighbors. Johnathan, spent time with the neighbor and explained what she needed to do - then advised me of what I could do in the interim and put my mind at rest about my cats - he spent so much time explaining what and how to deal with it - advised me on netting that I could use - and then did not charge me as he didn't actually carry out the work - an amazing company and what a decent guy, a real legend and I can highly recommend him.

John came to rid us of rats and completed the task . So impressed we are keeping him on a monthly contract.

I called John to deal with a bed bug problem, because of the reviews that I read here and Checkatrade. We arranged an appointment at a time to suit both of us. John explained that all of the bedrooms needed treatment and he gave me the price, which I was happy with. John arrived at the appointed time, and explained exactly what he was going to do, and why the other bedrooms needed treatment, even though we only had evidence of bugs in one room. He also explained how these creatures behave. Not seen any since the treatment. I would definitely call John again, should I have any pest problems in the future.
