From the moment of original contact I was impressed with the way Mr. (Jeff) Smallman carried out his business. The job we asked him to do was to seal the base of our balcony/patio which happens to be the roof of the flat below. The tenant of that flat reported that there was water seeping through his ceiling. Jeff wasted no time in coming to see what was involved and immediately gave me an estimate. I was rather taken aback by the amount involved but when Jeff explained in detail all that had to be done I asked him to go ahead. Bearing in mind the nature of the job we had to wait for a spell of dry weather. Jeff kept an eye on the weather forecast and when he thought it suitable he called me two days in advance that he was going to start. Another problem we had was access to the patio, suffice to say that all the materials had to be carried up a ladder. In fairness neither Jeff or his son Darren complained about this. The weather behaved and the job was done with a great deal of thoroughness. Idon't know if there is an expression that is an opposite to 'cowboy builder' if there is it would be definitely an accurate description of J.S. Builders. All the work was fully guaranteed and they did an excellent job of clearing up the site. Thank you Jeff and Darren for all the expert and hard work. My wife and I are delighted with the job and would have no problem at all in recommending these trades men.

We asked Jeff for a quote after seeing their work on a house a few doors up in our street as we were really impressed by the standard of finish there. The quote was competitive and detailed and they completed the work to Jeff's very exacting standards on budget and everything went really smoothly, even though the weather was atrocious for much of the time they were here. They're also really easy to get on with, which made the whole process so much simpler: a pleasure instead of a pain. We really can't fault them and we're already compiling a list of jobs for next spring!

Jeff Smallman and his son are block paving specalists but are also excelent in re-roofing and roofing repairs and building extensions etc. Prices are very reasonable plus it is very difficult to find an honest roofer. Jeff has been in the business for 25 years. He takes great pride in his work, which is guarannteed.

Jeff and Darren rebuilt a main chimney stack in appalling weather, never stopped, perfect job, also repaired interior wall for my mother-in-law, found a terrible mess that needed much more work but completed the work in just a little more time than the original estimated. They are what every householder hopes to find, an expert, reliable builder.

I employed JS Builders to refurbish my recently purchased house. It needed insulation, new ceilings, new walls, wall knocked down, window turned into a patio door, chimney taken down, roof repairs, electrical and plumbing work. I am so pleased I asked Darren to do the work. Darren is a builder who loves his work and puts customer satisfaction before everything. He worked tirelessly morning, noon and night, weekdays and weekends and often finishing very late in the evening to finish off what he had started. He listened to my ideas for the house, offering advice and doing his utmost to keep costs to a minimum. often changed my mind but nothing was ever too much trouble for him. Darren is very reliable, trustworthy and dependable. Darren, Jeff and Daniel have done an outstanding job. I would definitely recommend JS Builders and they will be the only builders I would use in the future.

Cannot recommend JS Builders enough, wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a builder they can rely on. Their work is exceptional in quality and finish, and everything is left spotless. They always arrive when they say they will, quotes have been clear and very fair. They always give me options for every project and they are professional and respectful at all times. Theu keep me in the loop and answer any questions i have quickly and fully. They have done a number of jobs for me, including finishing and fixing issues I was left with from a different trader. We recently had a double story extension completed to the side of our home. We are so happy with the completed job carried out by JS Builders, they were amazing and we would highly recommend them and intend to use them again in the future to complete our garden.
