John and his team carried out a great job in replacing a felted roof with an EPDM membrane, despite numerous interruptions due to rain. The workmanship was of a high quality and the price was very competitive. John constantly kept me in the picture as to progress and what was to happen next. He also took numerous photos to show me what had been done as I was not always present. I would definitely recommend this company for any roofing work.

I was very impressed with John and his son. We had bad deterioration at ends of some of our wooden soffits and instead of quoting for complete replacement he cut out and expertly replaced these parts plus mastic sealing and repainting. He also cleared all our gutters and removed old birds nest under the soffits. All this at no extra charge. Altogether a very good job by a gentleman of the old honest/reliable school. As a long standing member of Which it was most useful to find Mr Scudder on your Trusted Trader site.

John and his team originally re-roofed my property nearly nine years ago. They did an excellent job, and I've never had any problems with the roof itself. I've just needed to ask John to come back to fix a couple of normal 'wear and tear' issues - one was a bit of repointing of adjacent brickwork and one to replace some sealant. On both occasions he fitted the jobs in quickly and provided excellent service.

We had chimney pot covers fitted and a few missing tiles replaced back in Sept. Although the job was a small one John was very responsive to our request for a quote and completed the work very quickly. He was recommended to us by a friend and he is a very honest trades person and only does what is necessary and for a fair price. Would definitely recommend him. Thanks!

We used Scudder Roofing to replace fascia, soffits and guttering a year ago. The job was completed quickly with no problems for a price as low as anyone else. They were honest and didn't try to persuade us to have any extra unnecessary work. When we had a slight problem a year later they returned the next day and fixed it in 5 minutes. Definitely recommended. Would not use anyone else for any roofing work.

After much research we came across J W Scudder on the Which Trusted trader website. The job was for a complete new roof. John spent a great deal of time explaining the work, materials and time frames, and showed us his Company credentials.
