We have used John ( J W Scudder Roofing) now over a ten year period. This has included a complete new tiled to our house, a new flat roof to our garage and various repairs etc. The first job was the new roof to our house. We chose John after obtaining several quotes because he was very thorough in explaining the job and the certificates and guarantees we may expect once the job was complete. His team (including his son John who are all excellent) worked very hard in very difficult weather conditions and managed to complete the job without any problems or delays. All his work has been first class and whenever we have contacted him he has always been very helpful. He also keeps to time periods and prices quoted and his customer care is second to none. We have no hesitation in recommending John, his team and his company.

I recently had my 3 bed semi roof replaced by JW Scudder & Son, and my wife and I could not be happier with our new roof. the workmanship was second to none, as was their customer service, and the price was very reasonable. JW Scudder & Son are a family business and and offer a very personal service, they do every job themselves and ensure that each job is done to the very highest standard. Having a roof replace is a big job at a considerable cost, and its important to know you can trust the company you hire. You will be in very safe hands with KW Scudder, and I can not recommend them highly enough.

After getting 3 quotes I felt John was the most competitive and professional to do my rather large roof. He was very open with his accreditation's and insurance documentation, explained everything clearly and there was no hard sell! Excellent communication throughout. John Junior & Eden who were on the job were delightful and both extremely hard working and this didn't go unnoticed by my neighbours. Very clean workers who have done a very high standard job. My new roof looks fantastic. Would recommend John and his team to anyone. Your roof is in safe hands with these guys.

Mr J W Scudder was polite and professional when he came to quote for replacing the roof on my detached house. John (Mr Scudder's son) and Dom carried out the work. They were both polite, pleasant and very hard-working. In spite of the rain on days 2 & 3 (which, when pouring down, delayed them a bit) and the very hot weather on days 4 - 6, they worked hard and completed the job on day 6, on budget and within the original time given for the job. They regularly kept me informed about their progress and made sure that they left everything clean & tidy before leaving each day. All in all, I am very impressed with this company.

Work was completed to a very high standard. The price was the most competitive of the four quotes I obtained. The service was very friendly but highly professional. I was kept informed of cost of additional work and the final invoice was slightly less than I expected. Work started a bit later than planned but due to entirely understandable delays caused by weather. Attendance was always punctual (for visit to give estimate and when works carried out). Roofers were extremely hard working and completed work well within time estimate (even attending on a Saturday to complete one roof which couldn't be done earlier because of scaffolding). This is a small family owned and run business and it shows when it comes to customer service in particular. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. In fact, so impressed were the builders extending the house next door that the company has been asked to quote for that job also.

We have had a pleasant experience in arranging to have our roof replaced. John was professional and informative at our first meeting and kept us fully up to date when bad weather caused a slight delay in the works starting. The guys who carried out the work were punctual and friendly and our whole end of terrace roof was completed in eight days. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.
