James has completed multiple projects for us in the past and we have been exceptionally pleased with the quality of his work and customer service. He was very prompt in responding to our initial query and provided detailed quotes for us. Once started we were updated daily on the progress and the plans for the remaining days. James is very considerate of the impact on clients when working. On this job he not only repaired the brickwork/edge of the roof on the porch but also replaced supporting pillars and reset the floor tiling, taking great care to find matching bricks and tiles that we were happy with.

High standard of steel bridge construction and associated building works.

James Knott was asked to quote for the construction of a 26' steel bridge to connect the first floor of a building to a raised garden. James hired a professional structural surveyor to ensure that the associated grounds, walls, subsoil etc. were suitable for the plans drawn up, which included the bridge, side rails, supports and concrete bases. Also installed was decking for more than 16sqm., which required reinforcement and remedial work to the area and steel 'balcony' rails. All the work was carried out to our complete satisfaction, and we have no reservations in highly recommending him.

Fitting Bird Exclusion Kit to Roof Mounted Solar Panels

James was able to fit a bird exclusion kit to the 16 solar panels on our detached house roof. The work involved planning and installing this kit. James had to work from all 4 sides of the house to access the panels and he carried this work out efficiently and safely. We have used James previously and so when we found that birds were attempting to nest under the panels we knew who to contact to help us. Work was carried out to the agreed quoted price.

Couldn't recommend higher. James and his team were brilliant. They worked quickly and efficiently throughout. Communication was great and the work was done to an extremely high standard with a minimum of impact. They also took on the communication with building control directly to ensure that nothing was lost in translation (we are not very knowledgeable) Given the current climate, they were very Covid aware and compliant throughout. Really happy with all the work that was completed - easily the best builder i have ever used

We had a long term awkward problem at our Methodist church with a SVP emerging through the steeply-pitched tiled roof of our two-storey community halls, where heavy rain (but not light rain) was coming through somewhere into the ceiling upstairs. James diagnosed where and exactly how the water was coming through, and effected an expert repair. He was very professional and courteous, maintained social distancing throughout, his price was quite reasonable, and so we have no hesitation in recommending his services. Thank you James!
