An electrical circuit in my house wasn't working. JK came to inspect on the day I phoned and returned a few days later to repair it. Quick, efficient and clean. Very friendly and explained clearly what the problem was. Outstanding service.

Jay first came out to check a light I was concerned may have been unsafe. He responded very promptly and was very friendly and reassuring. I next used him to install a very heavy, glass, chandelier type pendant light. This was not an easy task but he was very calm and good humoured throughout and succeeded brilliantly. He is also very good value. I will definitely be using him next time I need an electrician and highly recommend him.

Jay did a full re-wire on our Victorian three bed terraced house. It wasn't the easiest of jobs and our planned timeline was blown out the water by external factors. Nevertheless, Jay was professional, reliable, communicated clearly, explained the options, and delivered the work to an excellent standard. We were really impressed and relieved the rewire has been done so well. Highly recommended.

I needed the outside light replaced and a hanging light socket (!) fixed to a wall in the larder. Jay was very helpful, answered all my questions and explained everything. He let me know how long it would all take, it cost what he said it would and I’m really pleased with the work he did.

Jay did great work, came nice and early, very tidy very polite and friendly, would recommend his work to other people.

All the Which reviews we read of JK Electric were excellent and they were right! We were looking at the Which recommended tradesmen as we needed an electrician urgently - our decorating project had revealed an unsafe socket and caused us to have to turn off all the power! Our usual electrician was away, which resulted in us finding Jay at JK Electrics and we are so pleased with the work that he is now very much our preferred electrician! Jay arrived at exactly 8:30am as promised and immediately assessed the problem. He estimated that it would take the morning to fix it and he was right. At several points he gave me options, such as trunking versus channeling the wall out and was as good as his word when he did channel the wall, by working extremely quickly and tidily! Jay was very flexible in working around the constraints of our decorating project (and decorator), and took the time to explain what he had done to fix our problem. I feel that Jay went beyond the initial job specification, as he also sorted out the plasterboard surround and went to get new plastic protective strips to exactly fit in our wall. He also sent the bill within days and charged a very competitive rate. Overall, I would highly recommend Jay at JK Electrics – thank you, Jay, for your excellent work!

Jay has done a number of jobs for us. Each time his work has been of the highest quality and also very good value for money. His latest job (and the particular subject of this review) was particularly challenging - installing a massive chandelier-type fitting at the top of a steep flight of stairs. This involved moving the position of the previous electrical supply, which came via an inaccessible roof-space, and somehow managing to find a beam within that inaccessible roof-space above the ceiling strong enough to support the new fitting. Most electricians would have made their excuses and left, but Jay succeeded triumphantly. We cannot recommend him too highly. A bonus is that he is a thoroughly agreeable human being - it is always a pleasure to have him in the house.

Jay visited on several occasions to finish the electrics after the builder on our house renovation project went bust. In one instance he even had to re-wire a section to rectify work left unsafe by the original builder's electrician. He has always been pleasant to have around, efficient, thoughtful about finding the right solutions, and clean and tidy in his work. His charges are reasonable too. I have no hesitation in recommending Jay for any electrical work - he has been a great help at a very trying time for us.

Jay fitted several plug points around the house and disconnected an old device. All the work carried out was done expertly and with respect of the skirting boards, floor boards and carpet. He arrived punctually and everything went to clock work. I recommend without hesitation.
