Certified as a YALE Doormaster Expert, I can offer excellent advice on supplying and fitting all types of door locks including UPVC. I am fully trained and work to high standards with good knowledge of the industry.

My back door lock was sticking and becoming difficult to use. I called James who quickly understood my problem. He called when he said he would having already informed me of the price for the work. He had to realign my door as part of the process and charged me exactly as quoted. He and his assistant were both very pleasant and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended.

I had a lock that was warn out and sticking, and James was absolutely brilliant. He came at the time he said he would, and charged what he told me. He also aligned my door without charging extra. A very nice, pleasant man. I would use him again, and recommend him to others.

Easily contacted using the telephone number on the Trusted traders page, this firm agreed to visit the following day on their second call with a repair quote of £80 or replacement cost of £180. Jim arrived punctually and was friendly and courteous and explained that due to the age of our door there might be some difficulty in matching the part. He tried adapting units on his van but finally had to go to a warehouse to obtain the correct part. Swiftly returning the job was completed in thirty minutes and we were left wit a new, smooth mechanism and a much reduced risk of being unable to get into our own home. This was a good example of where 36 years experience can provide the customer with correct parts tht are fitted expertly. Absolutely 100 percent recommended.

I contacted Jim to install a replacement cylinder and locking system for a composite door. Jim & Alex arrived exactly on time. Unfortunately the replacement locking system supplied byb the door manufacturer proved to be faulty. Jim identified the problem component, sourced a replacement locally, collected it from his supplier and installed it. Not only did Jim & Alex go the extra mile to make sure they could complete the job but they did so without a second thought. I will certainly use this company again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

After reading some very good reviews online, I phoned JF Locksmiths and spoke to Jim. I described the problem with the door lock. He was informative and explained what he would be able to do, and the costs. He arrived very quickly (within half and hour) and got to work. He had the right parts in his van and was able to replace the lock. Jim was very courteous and polite, and he explained everything he had to do. I was really pleased with the work he did for me, and I would definitely use him again.

Through a set of unusual circumstances we found ourselves in a vulnerable position on a Saturday teatime concerning the security of our front door. I checked Trusted Traders and chose J.F.Locksmith’s. Jim immediately answered the phone, sized up the situation, gave us a very reasonable quote and said he’d leave immediately to get to us, giving an eta. Even though he lives the other side of Birmingham, which is very busy on Saturdays, he arrived almost to the minute. He worked quickly and efficiently, was warm and friendly, and left two very relieved and satisfied customers after about half an hour. He even left us three keys for our new, high security lock, plus a tag with the key code should we run into any future difficulties. We can’t recommend him highly enough. Thank you, Jim!

Having had a UPVC door lock destroyed by burglars, I called Jim. He arrived later that morning, keeping me updated on his arrival time. He and his colleague assessed the damage, and worked quickly and efficiently to replace the broken lock with 3-start Euro anti-snap lock cylinder and new handles. He also replaced a similar lock on another door. They left things tidy, and got me to try out the new locks and keys to be sure I was happy with them. The callout and parts charges were very reasonable.

Jim was friendly and professional, he provisionally assessed the issue on the call. He gave an approximate quote, and ETA. Both Jim and Alex arrived within the ETA, his pre assessment was correct. He repaired the lock less than hour and charged, what he quoted. Based on my interaction with JF Locksmiths, I would highly recommend.

JF Locksmiths arrived within 15 minutes of my telephone call. They managed to remove the broken end of a key which had become lodged in the lock without having to change the lock cylinder, saving us an extra cost. Excellent job! I would highly recommend them.
