I can recommend Switch Green Electrical without reservation. I had a different company carry out an Electrical Report but they found four things that 'required further investigation' and they didn't seem able to say what that might cost or involve. I contacted Joel who replied very promptly, looked at the report and called round next evening to have a look. He then sent me a much more sensible estimate and limited two items that did need further investigation to no more then 2 hours work - so I knew I was in control of the situation and costs. In the end he was able to do all the work, identify and resolve all issues and come in under his estimate - and below the previous company's estimate. He was always on time and kept me informed and involved in what needed doing. He came up with solutions that were not only much less work and cost than the other company but also far more workable, sensible and convenient, whilst being fully compliant and safe. This, I think, was due to his good experience and ability to problem solve. He is an experienced, highly competent, reliable, honest and trustworthy person. If ever I have any need of an electrician I would definitely call Joel.

Joel is the kind of tradesman you dream to find. He is professional, honest and thorough. You can be sure that he will not only do the work well ( leaving you in safety) but that he will not gauge or mislead you. No job is too small and he never patronises or talks down to you. Joel sorted out some problems after building work left us without lights in several rooms. He was quick to respond to the query, clear and transparent about his pricing and easy to arrange a date with. He was on time, friendly and helpful, explaining the problems he found along the way. Joel just fitted a new cooker hood after our old one broke down. He came to check out the job and gave helpful advice on what to order. He came to do the job itself very promptly and worked with care on a tricky fit. Everything was left very tidy afterwards. I would recommend Joel highly.

We recently purchased a Victorian conversion flat, and Joel has performed a number of jobs for us, including installing lights and electrical sockets, relocating a fuse board, running ethernet cable, and more. Throughout, he has been fast, professional and cost-effective. He's also just a generally nice guy. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

I contacted Joel to replace a socket, broken extractor and faulty kitchen lighting. He responded straight away, turned up on time and was very easy to deal with. He made really useful suggestions about how the lighting could be improved aesthetically and made more efficient he then quoted for the job the same day. On the day the work was to be done, he arrived again on time and completed the work without a hitch and with no mess left. I received the certificate for the work the same day it was completed. Asked Joel to quote for both some works to the common parts of my block (lighting upgrade and integrated smoke alarms) as well as some lighting repairs and upgrades to my own flat. Joel was responsive from the first enquiry (not every contractor I contacted bothered to reply either way); turned up as expected to quote, clear and helpful in discussing the work required and how to resolve issues in the most cost effective way. Transparent, reasonable pricing. Pleasure to have in my home, very tidy and diligent. Got the job done exactly as I wanted. No hesitation in recommending him.
