KD Thorpe Electrical Contractors limited is a family run Lighting and Electrical contractors with over 36 years’ experience supplying and fitting lighting and electrical products to customers in BARNET, MUSWELL HILL, CROUCH END, FINCHLEY, MILL HILL & North/Central London. We supply and Fit everything from the smallest candle lamp to large chandeliers.

Had a bathroom "light/extractor fan" switch that stopped working and needed fixing. A reliable handyman we use recommended an electrician to us - after trying for about two or three days to get him to come round or at least to call us back when he promised to, we gave up and looked on Which? Local. Rang KD Thorpe, and Kevin came round within a couple of hours of phoning him (15mins earlier than promised) & replaced the switch. He was efficient, friendly and helpful - on his way out, even replaced a couple of kitchen lightbulbs that I hadn't got round to doing! So, very happy to recommend KD Thorpe.

Kevin and Tony did some work in my house a couple of months ago. Kevin came up with the idea of a remote-control to save the trouble of re-siting a light switch, whgich saved the need for re-decorating. They were both friendly, helpful, polite and clean. They are busy, so I had to wait a time for them to come, but it was worth it.

I cannot praise Kevin and his team enough! I called them late afternoon and they turned up the following morning. Kevin kept me informed of when I could expect his team and they arrived at the time advised. I found them to be efficient, tidy, extremely courteous and worth every penny. This was the first time I have used Kevin but it definitely will not be the last!

I needed a full re-wire for my house. Their response to my initial query was quick, a full itemised quote provided and a date set for the work to be done. Very reliable, a high standard of work, and an earlier than expected finish at a reasonable price. Kevin kept me informed daily of progress and is a nice guy. I'm happy to recommend this firm.

Called after a previous electrician failed to turn to finish a job. They were punctual, polite and identified the problem quickly and fixed it.I thought their charges were reasonable and were explained to meon the telephone prior to taking on the job. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I found Kevin on Which? Local and I'm so glad I did. He arrived with his trusty sidekick Tony. They both turned down my offer of a cuppa, preferring to get on with the job. Kevin and his trusty sidekick Tony have done a number of jobs for us over the last few years, from running electricity from our house to the shed, putting in a new fuse box, installing a lamp fitting and, most recently, installing a new light downstairs that we could switch on from upstairs. Always a swift response and efficient work. Highly recommended.

Phoned on Tuesday. Were round at mine at 11 on Wednesday. Honest, pleasant people, non technical explanations. Kept me fully informed all the way through the work which was fixing problems with 4 dimmer switches, a faulty transformer in a ceiling halogen and replacing a light fitting. All done by two blokes in one hour. I am fairly hard to please having had a few bad experiences, I can recommended this firm without hesitation. Oh and well done Which? Local!

Very easy to do business with. Available on the mobile on the weekend, clear and straightforward communications, turned up on time, worked all the time, courteous and polite. Quick diagnosis of all electrical problems, and efficiently sorted out, using spare parts and accessories from his van. Would definitely recommend and would use again without hesitation.

Kevin and his assistant Tony gave us excellent advice on how to make our electrics safer and how to do so at least cost. Nothing was too much trouble; they were very pleasant to have around; and were very careful to clean up when the work was finished. We would always go back to them if we needed more electrical work done by people we could rely on.
