Re Oven installation From a speedy response to my original enquiry, through a very efficient booking system, to the wonderfully helpful visiting electrician I was totally impressed by the service provided by Lloyd Hallowell. The oven installation wasn’t entirely straightforward thanks to the existing wiring, but Alfred quickly resolved the problem and we now have a smart new cooker. All this at 8pm on a Friday evening! Great communication and excellent service at a very good price. I’d certainly use this company again and would happily recommend it to others.

Lloyd was great. The work involved replacing five kitchen/bathroom lights and fitting a new external light. The estimate and booking process was all done by email and online and was very transparent. Lloyd arrived within the time period he gave and the tracker he sent was helpful to get an exact time. The estimate was for fixed amounts rather than on a time-spent basis but he did not rush the work and was very tidy. He was very personable without that stopping him getting on with the job. The invoice was exactly per the estimate.

Lloyd fitted three ceiling lights for me, including the tricky one in the bathroom with the hidden fuse! He did a great job in double-quick time for two-thirds of his original quoted price. He has all the tools and spares you can imagine and then some. He cleared up after himself. He's clearly dedicated to providing a top service. He’s also a friendly and reassuring presence to have in the house. A top experience all around. I highly recommend him.

Lloyd is a fantastic worker who I would happily recommend! We needed some work done on our bathroom and other electrical fittings. The process of getting the information to Lloyd was really simple and the booking system was very easy and quick. He is very friendly, informative, thorough and was very determined to solve one of the fittings that was causing a bit of a headache. We had some light fittings and a switch fixed. Lloyd turned up on time, communication was easy, the work was done well, he was respectful of the house, left no mess, and he charged less than he had quoted. Perfect experience- strongly recommended.

Lloyd sorted out our electricity failure in the kitchen - so boiler, fridge, all the most important stuff. He came same day, on time, was friendly, positive and didn't leave until he had fixed it, even though it took nearly 5 hours. He's a star and I heartily recommend him.

We found Lloyd through online recommendations and can't recommend him enough. Top quality work by a truly top quality chap. He was careful to know exactly what needed doing ahead of time so showed up with all necessary items and a well prepared plan for doing things right. He repaired faulty wiring and casings along our exterior walkway lights and also discovered and repaired some dangerously dodgy wiring in our interior hallway lights. In both cases he added extra measures to protect our systems from future damage or faults. His very reasonable costs were agreed before we booked the appointment and we were billed exactly what was pre-approved. Professional, tidy, trustworthy and a completely impressive van as well. Only mention that last bit as it's proof that he has carefully considered every element of his business and its top quality at every turn.

The video service to get a quote was very effective. Lloyds communication was clear and very useful. The work was done safely and on time and on budget.

My storage heater had broken and I had tried all home remedies, as I am on a limited budget. Lloyd made himself available super quickly when he found out I had no heating in the depths of winter. He was friendly and approachable. Explained everything and tried to find a cost effective solution rather than jumping to full heating replacement, as 3 others had done. He actually spent time diagnosing the problem and it was a simple plug socket replacement, saving hundreds of pounds. I cannot recommend this man highly enough.

I decided to use Lloyd after all his positive reviews on Which Trusted Trader. His booking system is a joy to use and allows you to select a time that suits and if something comes up it is easy to change. Lloyd uses real time mapping to show you where he is on the day so that you know what time he is going to arrive. Lloyd is very friendly and tidy. The job was done quickly and a full estimate of works was produced with Lloyd specifying what was mandatory and what was optional and a full breakdown of the costs. Lloyd missed one small part of the survey but quickly and at no cost put it right. I would thoroughly recommend Lloyd

We hired Lloyd after seeing his van on our street and reading the many five star reviews online. He came to have a look at our kitchen and then sent us a very detailed quote in the space of a couple of days (we needed to replace our range cooker with a new oven and a new induction hob). Booking a slot via his online form was very easy and extremely satisfying because it meant receiving notifications and alerts. On the day he showed up on time (we were even able to track his live location via WhatsApp) and wearing appropriate PPE. He worked for roughly three hours and was extremely tidy and efficient. After installing the appliances he tested them with us. Could be happier and we will definitely use him again.

I found Lloyd through Which Trusted Traders and was very happy I did. I had and under-the-counter kitchen light that needed replacing and a bedroom dimmer switch that needed replacing; minor work but annoying! Contacting Lloyd, showing him what was wrong via WhatsApp and setting up an appointment online was all really easy and communication was great. He arrived on time and was great to deal with. It turned out that it was harder to replace my kitchen lights that he had thought it would be because of work that had been done badly before... but he found a solution. Dimmer switch replacement very straightforward. A lovely guy too, would absolutely recommend him. Also, when he could not replace my lights as planned, he did not charge me for the lights he'd brought with him.

The work was to bring a rental flat up to EICR standard, which involved remedial work and a new Distribution Board. It was done to an agreed schedule and price on the agreed date. Mr Hallowell made things very clear. He liaised well with the Tenant, who was very impressed and reported that all had been left clean and tidy.

Lloyd is NICEIC registered and has demonstrated his expertise on multiple occasions. He's helped me with a few jobs and is my go-to person when I need an expert. He's happy to take his time to explain his work and check things over to ensure the customer is satisfied and the installation is up to scratch. Easy to get in touch with and handy online booking forms. He's very popular, so need to book in advance!

Lloyd responded quickly to our request for a quote and although his schedule was busy but he was worth the wait. He changed several lights and switches for us, and gave us professional advice on the lights we needed to buy. He arrived on time, completed the work quickly, to a high standard and adhered to COVID19 safe procedures. We would recommend him highly.

Lloyd fitted new LED lights for us, throughout our house, back in June 2019. He fitted the lights quickly and efficiently. On two separate subsequent occaisions, when there appeared to be a problem with a switch, I contacted him and he came round within a couple of days, identified the problem (unrelated to the original fitting), fixed it. There was no charge! Lloyd is completely dependable, knows what he is doing, absolutely happy to recommend him.

I moved into my flat a couple of years ago and the need for a new consumer unit had been flagged, so I had Lloyd visit first to carry out a safety check and then again to replace the unit. The online booking system was a breeze and saved the email / WhatsApp ping-pong you often get when trying to book a tradesperson, although Lloyd was also happy to discuss the work over email. The communication all the way through was outstanding whether it was the live WhatsApp location to show him on his way, thorough discussion about the EICR results and choice of new unit, or how to use the new installation. I also know that if I hadn't been so interested in discussing in detail, Lloyd was very clear what his recommendation was and would have just got on with it. As for the work itself Lloyd approached it as if he was entering it for the Oscars of CU-installation - real pride taken in it, absolutely spotless (both outside and what I saw of inside) and probably left my flat cleaner than it was when he arrived (cleanliness really not to be taken for granted with some people now). If I have need for an electrician in future I will not hesitate in calling Lloyd again. The only downside is he is getting popular and for non-emergency work you might have to look a few weeks ahead to find a slot.

We came back from holidays to find all of our electricity was off in the kitchen, and bedrooms. Fridge, freezer, cooker, lights etc all not working. Lloyd was quick with all his communications and came round and worked expertly and diligently through the problem, explaining clearly what he was doing and why. We had an outside light that had short circuited with the wires having burned through. Thankfully, Lloyd was able to make us safe again and get everything work. Lloyd was a joy to work with and we have no hesitation in recommending him.

We found Lloyd through Trusted Traders. He did a full safety inspection on a flat we let out in Wapping. He was very thorough, talked us through everything he was doing, and gave us some useful pointers on how we could improve our electrical safety even further. Absolutely brilliant experience with Lloyd. From start to finish very professional, superbly efficient and friendly. The downstairs lights were causing repeated tripping on the RCD. He did a thorough investigation eliminating the possible problems one by one until he found the source of the fault. This involved investigating under the kitchen cupboards and getting slightly dusty which he did as a matter of course and without complaint! I’ll definitely use his services again and will be recommending him to family and friends. First class service! Highly recommended!

Lloyd replaced some halogen lights in ny bathroom with new LED ones, recommended fitting a dimmer which has made an improvement to the bathroom, and fixed up an overhead light in a bedroom. He did the jobs quickly, and when we found that not all of the cutouts were the same size he got hold of some ones that did fit and sorted it out on the same day. He tidied up afterwards. He is friendly and trustworthy. I would be happy to hire him again.
