Really happy with the service from Phillip. He secured a bathroom window lock. Carried out the work swiftly and at a fair price. He was extremely polite and friendly and even sorted out a door that was sticking at no extra charge. I would highly recommend him.

Phil was absolutely fantastic. We can't thank him enough! One phone call to him and he was with us in 10 minutes! He did a fantastic job at sorting our conservatory door handles and locks out, as well as adjusting our doors so they fitted correctly. What a lovely guy and so professional. Nothing was too much trouble for him, and we are really grateful to him.

Phil responded quickly to my rather panicky call to say I couldn’t lock my front door. He assured me that he would be able to make sure the door was at least secured and had the part to replace the lock mechanism if needed. Phil arrived within the hour as promised and quickly found the cause of the problem and fixed it. He also checked the back door for me as I told him I was having difficulty opening and locking it. He quickly adjusted the door, which had dropped, and it now works perfectly. I would recommend Phil to anyone; he is a lovely, genuine guy, explains what he is doing, and doesn’t charge silly prices.

Phil was able to replace a barrel lock that had broken and was stuck in the door. He quickly identified the problem and was able to remove the old lock and replace it immediately without having to go away and buy a replacement, as he had replacements already with him. He couldn’t have done a better job.

After locking myself out of my flat (again) and this time doing real damage to the locks, I was concerned about a few things: Response time Cost Security Phillip came through on every measure. He attended the following morning at 8 o'clock sharp. With the damage to the locks I figured complete removal and new locks to be installed was the only option. Philip had a different opinion, and he proceeded to rebuild the existing locks to the best standard they had ever been in with two keys to boot. I used to be a tradesman (P&D) and I noticed that Phil quickly made a defined work space, was methodical and fast though not 'rushed' - big difference. When I saw the completed work, I was bowled over. The two existing locks were as good as new. So kudos to Phil. Right time, right job at a great price.

I have used this trader before and was very pleased with the work he carried out before, on this occasion we were unable to lock our front door that day which left us in a tight spot we had to use Phil again on a Sunday the same day we were flying out to Cyprus, he came within 40 mins identified the problem explained it and fixed it and even had time to fix a bathroom window handle, once again he was very polite and courteous and a credit to his profession.

A lock on a vital plastic door suddenly went stiff. A neighbour on the street WhatsApp group recommended Phil as she had had good work done. I phoned Phil, arranged a time, and made it clear that I would like to see what was done and have a clear explanation of what the problem was. Phil arrived when agreed and set to work. The problem was caused by incorrect installation and several mistakes were corrected. I was impressed, so I asked him to check the rest of the doors if he had time. Cutting a long story short, I had niggles with each of the 4 remaining doors. One needed a small adjustment, the other three were again incorrectly installed. Phil examined each one, systematically defined the problems, and methodically set things to rights. I have no hesitation in recommending him because he worked methodically, explained things clearly, and left things tidy.

I have used Phil twice now. Once to fit a lock to a new door and once to repair a broken one. Both times Phil did a really good, thorough job and took time to make sure he was choosing the right bit of kit for the job. He was really quick to get back to me and is a really nice guy. The prices were reasonable and he did good work. Everything was left clean and tidy afterwards.

Broken lock on back door . Phil came out when he said he would . He was professional, knowledgeable and a fabulous work ethic . He did a great job and wouldn’t leave till he was fully happy with it , he really did a first class job . And even checked my other doors as he was leaving . He even fitted a temporary lock so that we could use the door more effectively overnight. Phoned Phil the Locksmith on his mobile too have our front door locks changed due to my wife's bag being stolen the night before, he sounded busy as he was on another job at the time but said he would call back which he did not too long after. It was a double glazed door and he pointed out that it was not a barrel lock and the job could easily be done. At the time he did not carry that type of lock in his vehicle but he went back to the office and came back and fitted it and adjusted the handle as it had been previously loose. The change took only 20mins as he had rightly estimated, paid the quoted price, excellent service. Phil was very polite, courteous knew his trade and did a great and put me and my wife's mind's at ease as he said this was one of the better door locks. Would definitely recommend.

Needed someone to have a look at my garage door which wasn't locking and found Phil in my local Alkrington Life magazine. He turned up promptly and sorted it. I was so pleased with job well done so got Phil to come back and change all window locks in my whole house plus changing front door handle and letterbox. Phil ordered the items Needed, came and fixed everything and cleaned up brilliantly after himself. I definitely would use Phil for any job in his jurisdiction in my house from now on. I emailed 3 people about fixing the locks on our UPVC porch and back doors. Phillip responded, gave a day, turned up as arranged, fixed both the locks - one straightforward, one required some inventive adjustment - explained what he was doing, so we understood what the problems had been, and both locks have worked perfectly since. The price was reasonable, Phillip's workmanship, attitude and communication were all one could ask for. I would ask him again if we had another lock problem, and would not hesitate to recommend him.

Phil recently came out to do an emergency door repair (would not lock) he sorted the problem very quickly, he even broke off from another job nearby to help us out. I had to phone Phil again because we had a similar problem with the conservatory door, I am a quite technical myself and Phil talked me through how to adjust the door and get it to lock, he was still willing to call the next day to fix it but with his advice the visit was not needed, I don’t think you will get many tradesmen offering advice to customers. Excellent service would highly recommend.

I got in touch with Phil about replacing our Yale lock. At his request, I sent some photographs of the lock. He obtained a replacement, arrived on time and changed the lock quickly and efficiently, taking great care throughout. He was courteous throughout. His quote for the work was very reasonable. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone. I wish all tradesmen were as efficient and reliable.

Having disturbed thieves during an attempt to force a lock on an exterior door at night, the next morning I contacted Phil , who had done a good job the year before when a lock mechanism failed. He arranged to call within a few hours, after finishing a job he was on. He checked a few facts on the phone, assessed the need for a more secure, anti-snap lock and sourced a security handle to replace the one broken in the attempted theft. He then arrived within a few hours, explained what he was planning to do and completed the job promptly and at reasonable cost.
