Lock Around The Clock

Looking for a reputable local company to use I called Lock around the Clock to get a faulty door lock replaced. A convenient time was booked for their visit and they phoned 30 minutes in advance of arrival. All very professional, with the basic labour rate quoted upfront. The problem with the door was quickly diagnosed and the lock mechanism replaced. Before leaving they cleaned the area where they had been working. Highly recommended.

I was stuck with a badly cut new key in the lock. It wouldn't turn the lock and it wouldn't come out. The locksmith turned up quickly and professionally sorted the problem in an efficient and friendly manner.

I door knob had come apart and it was very important that it was mended as it matched other knobs in the room. I was not sure it could be mended but as I had used "Lock around the Clock" before I telephoned them yesterday. Very prompt service today having told me that they would call between 10am and 12 midday, they telephoned to say when they would be arriving. They immediately started the job and were able to mend the knob. They were very efficient and at a reasonable price. 10 out of 10.

When I called to discuss the problem, I was told what the likely repair would be and given estimates, depending on what needed to be done. I was told I would be given a call approximately thirty minutes before they were due which they did. The lock needed replacing and I was given different options which were explained clearly. The work was done quickly. They were very polite and friendly. The cost was very close to what had been quoted.

I would recommend this company because they got me out of a sticky situation, with a broken front door lock.Chris turned up and was very helpful ,took time to fix the lock without me having to buy a new one. WELL DONE MATE

My key snapped in the lock and Chris was very responsive to my initial call, he was at our house within the hour (as he had advised) The job was done within minutes and he even cut as 2 new keys. Excellent job, Thanks Chris!

Chris and George fitted a lockable sash jammer to replace a broken UPVC window lock. The work was completed to a high standard for a reasonable price.

A local and family business; Chris arrived with his son. Both very friendly, professional and courteous. The job (replacement of 5 Lever deadlock for security) was done swiftly, no mess and a great finish. Extra keys were cut for me on the spot. Chris arrived punctually at the agreed time on the day I contacted him. He quickly identified the problem and effected repairs and fitted new parts so that the door is working better than it has for years. It is a heavy UPVC double glazed door so would have been very expensive to replace. I was very happy with both the work and the cost.

French door not functioning. One side not able to close. Locked open somehow by weekend visitor! Phoned a.m. They arrived a few hours later. Friendly efficient service. No parts necessary so they even reduced the charge. Would certainly recommend to anyone.

I called Lock Around the Clock at 08.45hrs on Friday morning and they (Chris and George - father and son team) were with me by 11.20 hrs. Their approach to my request for help was calm and reassuring and this carried through when they arrived. The back door locking mechanism had sheared off and left me with a door that would not open. This was sorted within 40 mins and they were able to use existing parts which kept the cost down. A good experience, and a business I'm happy to recommend.

This local trader was able to resolve my malfunctioning front door handle the same day I called. He and his son, a good team, were able to resolve the problem, and replace the handle, ensuring it was working properly for all functions of the opening, closing and locking of the door. They had a replacement handle on the van, so there was no interval between identifying the problem and sorting it. They were tidy and cleaned the door of any finger marks; they were cheerful, professional and polite. They were recommended by a neighbour and I would recommend their services to anyone. I did not enquire about actual likely cost when I called, but did enquire whether the overall cost would include VAT (it did not). Their advert in the local neighbourhood magazine stated there is no call out charge, so I anticipated having to pay labour and parts. I assumed that they would not be able to give me a quote until they knew what the issues were. I was satisfied that the charge was proportionate for the task, and very relieved to have had the malfunction remedied.

From initial phone request to completion of job everything was done professionally, efficiently and timeously. Chris and George were great . They would my first go to for door, lock issues and I thoroughly recommend them.

To make long story short - locked myself outside my home. It took twenty minutes (literally) to have it sorted out. Best service ever - ten out of ten would lock myself outside again.
