Locksmith Services is a family business established in 2009, based in Harpenden and covering Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire. We're a father and son team, Larry started locksmithing in 2005 and Dean his son started in 2015 after becoming a qualified carpenter.

Locksmith Services are open 24/7 for emergencies and aim to get to you within 30 minutes of your call where possible. We can supply and fit door and window locks to British standard and insurance requirements.

If you need a locksmith in Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire because you want your locks upgraded for extra security, locks changed or repaired then at Locksmiths Services we have the experience, expertise and the equipment that the job requires.

We do not charge a call-out fee or charge hourly. We charge a set labour fee plus the cost of any parts that may be required.

I've been having a problem with the lock on a conservatory which has been getting progressively worse. Rang the team explained the problem, they told me when they would come round, how much each part will be. They came round, were very clean and did the work efficiently. Very impressed.

After a house move I needed to change the locks and add window locks to several windows. I was given a price on my initial call so no surprises when the bill came. Dean came to our property a couple of days later at the agreed time and fitted the new locks. A new mortice lock was fitted to the front door very neatly. A friendly and highly skilled service. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Dean came over to do the relatively small job of changing a broken door handle. He did an excellent job, taking time to source a close match to some fairly old handles. He kept us informed of progress as he sourced the items and fitted them promptly. We have used this company several times and Larry and Dean have always been extremely professional and competent. They can always find a solution to any problem. I would highly recommend.

Went for a walk with my girlfriend and realised neither of us had our key. Called Locksmith Services Ltd and they were round in 20 minutes. They managed to open the door quickly without and damage to the door/lock. I would highly recommend them.

My front porch door lock required repair or replacement. Efficient handling of my call and Dean arrived on the day and time agreed. No call out charge was added to the bill. The problem was dealt with in an efficient and professional manner. It was possible to repair the lock and the charge made was very reasonable. Can highly recommend this local company for any work required for lock repairs or replacement.

I got shut out of my sitting room - the handle just would not open the door. I called out this company and along came Dean who managed to open it very quickly and spent some time fixing a new latch mechanism. He also gave me some good tips on looking after door handles! He was very friendly and the charge was slightly less than I was expecting. I would definitely recommend.
