This company was so easy to contact online. Query answered within an hour. Booking easy. All straight forward. The knowledgeable engineer who found the fault on my appliance. Parts ordered. Next visit parts installed but there was still a problem. Third visit 2 engineers came and they fixed the appliance. The problem was the spare part was wired differently and manufacture did not advise that. Engineers were amazing. Would use the company again and recommend them.

Attended when they said they would following regular communication. Paul was a quick worker and also provided us with some great education on using the washing machine.

Heating element on cooker went — has Alan round within 24 hours of contacting the company. I was kept up to date with his expected arrival time and there was lots of excellent advance info about Covid precautions. Pricing is also upfront and transparent. Alan was polite, informative and efficient. The issue was resolved and I would happily use Lothian Domestics again.

A non drying tumble dryer, in this unpredictable weather, in this unpredictable Covid period, had disaster, and wet laundry, all over. Greatly relieved to find Lothian Domestics we’re willing and able to help. All online service, I was even able to add another repair, and have them both dealt with in one visit, with a reduction in cost for the diagnostic visit. My American fridge freezer needed a new LED light in the freezer, (and only 2 months out of guarantee). I was charged for a diagnostic visit, a quote for the new part arrived the following day, payment up front, totally understandable, and the second visIt, the part was fitted. Great! The AEG washer dryer, was more complicated, as the drying programme seemed problematic, as no error message was appearing. Alan, the techie, suggested the themister could be the proble, but if not, it was the PCB. He offered to order the first, and if it worked, I would be charged. If it did not, he would take it back, and there would be no charge. Win win! Imagine my delight when, at the return visit, the new light was fitted, and joy, the themister seemed to do the job! I need to run the dryer a few times, and if luck did not hold, and the dryer Failed to heat, I would be refunded the cost, ....And cough up for a new machine. At all times, the company kept us informed, the men gave us a 2 hour window for their arrival, and were true to their word. Highly recommended! A shining light in appliance repairs.

Our 10 year old Seimens fitted microwave suddenly stopped working but the conventional oven was fine. Lothian Domestics were easy to organise on line and although they had to come back twice after the initial two parts failed on fitting, they solved the problem at no extra cost. Would use again if needed.

The whole process of booking an appointment, being reminded it was coming, and told when the engineer was arriving, was exemplary. When Alan was here, it was fast, straightforward and solved the problem very fast. Exactly what we wanted

An efficient booking system provided a 6-hour time slot, with a call 10 minutes before arrival of the engineer. The dishwasher fault turned out to be very simple, but beyond us to diagnose. Jamie fixed it quickly, and remained on site to test the machine thoroughly and ensure all else was well, giving me a clear explanation. The fixed fee might seem high to some, but not to me, and I felt I got good value for money.
