Lothian Domestics is a growing family run business, established in 2015 to provide domestic appliance repair services across Edinburgh and The Lothians. We believe customer service is the cornerstone of any business and we aim for complete customer satisfaction. We have a fully transparent approach to pricing, which means we do not have any hidden charges or fees and all of our costs are explained clearly when you book a call.

For your peace of mind, our appliance engineers are all fully trained and insured for all work they carry out. Our engineers all have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to appliances and also carry a well stocked selection of parts in their van and this is why the vast majority of our jobs are completed on the first visit, resulting in a quicker turnaround for you. Every one of our appliance engineers are police vetted and carry company identification with them at all times.

Lothian Domestics came to fix my washer dryer and did so quickly and efficiently, perfect friendly service. It was simple to book online and to select time for a home visit. I was kept informed throughout the process and the engineer came when he was supposdd to. Ideal !

Easy online booking. Regular text and email updates to notify the engineer?s location. PAYG option means flat charge of £70 + VAT + parts means you?re not charged labour costs. This is great

We had intermittent issues with out dishwasher that a local appliance engineer was unable to diagnose or resolve. We turned to Lothian Domestics, who arranged an engineer appointment. A time frame was given on the day, and a text message giving a more precise ETA closer to the time. The engineer was very helpful, and great with out kids (who kept getting in his way). He was able to diagnose the issue, and resolve then and there. Wonderful service, and a reliable tradesman, both a rarity these days.

I had bother with my washing machine. As it turns out, it was a problem with the electronic panel. one of my friends told me about Lothian domestics so I called them and the engineer came out that afternoon! I was absolutely delighted. My experience was very favourable, the lady I spoke to in the office was so helpful and understanding. I obviously felt I had an emergency on my hands! The engineer was very quick to diagnose the problem. I found him very knowledgeable and told me in layman's terms what the problem was. The issue was fixed that day. I would not hesitate to contact Lothian domestics again. I have already passed their name onto other friends to use.

I contacted Lothian Domestics to repair a Siemens combination microwave oven. The microwave was not working. The charging structure is fair and transparent. Communication throughout the job is second to none through the use of automated messaging. I was told what to expect in advance of the engineer's visit and there were clear instructions regarding social distancing. The microwave could not be fixed at the first visit nor the second as new parts were required. I was kept informed throughout and I felt confident that the engineer was doing all he could to get to the bottom of the problem. A senior engineer was also present on the third visit and the job was successfully completed. I will use this company again for appliance repairs and would not hesitate to recommend them. Thank you for a first class service.

Fantastic service and really smooth systems which allow you to book appointments and track your engineer's location en route. Repair was made in about twenty minutes and appears to have solved the problem.

Repair oven element

First contacted company on Wed 29th April as bottom oven had stopped heating. An engineer visited that day and diagnosed that the heating element in the fan oven had failed and he would have a quotation for its replacement sent. The quotation arrived the same day and an appointment arranged for the repair to be carried out the following week. The initial call out fee was deducted from the invoice when I agreed to accept the quote. On both visits I received text messages approximately 30 minutes before the engineer’s visit. The replacement part was fitted without delay and the oven tested before the engineer left . The engineer was courteous and the whole process handled efficiently. On this experience I would definitely use the company again and would recommend them to anyone requiring a repair.

Great that these guys are working just now. Bad time for the oven to break but easy online booking and great communication. Jamie called 10 minutes before arrival and replaced the elements really quickly from spares in his van. Impressive service. Read the guidance they send, make sure your appliances are properly sanitised and respect the engineer’s space. I stayed in the next room. Professionals who can be trusted. Highly recommend this company.
