James serviced boiler this morning . Arrived early and was polite throughout visit . Left reassuring me boiler in good working order . Very happy with Lucas plumbing efficient and reliable company

We do not have the competency to comment on the quality of the workmanship only time will inform us on this element. However the representative was at pains to ensure we knew he was behind schedule and unfortunately left the front grill off the fire nor clean marks he probably accidentally made on the landing and stairway walls. Furthermore he promised to look at radiators which varied in heat but that was forgotten. He did return to a fix the grill and left hurriedly with head bowed. He was apparently still behind schedule. We cannot doubt his competency or workmanship but the company would benefit if they introduce some form of training in customer care and awareness. Regretfully common courtesy and politeness was not evident

I have used Lucas Plumbing many times for a variety of jobs including gas boiler repairs and servicing, tap replacement, toilet flush repairs, and radiator replacement. They give clear estimates and do a first class job. They work tidily and their engineers are polite, friendly, experienced and knowledgeable. Highly recommend them. Willing to pay that little bit extra for quality and reliability.

Used this company for the first time to do a service on an outside oil boiler. Found them following detailed search and investigation of reviews. Very impressed. Very good communication and clear pricing. Work was done on time with a full report and breakdown of costs. The engineer - Jake - was very professional and a very nice chap. We had recently moved to an oil fired property and had no idea where to begin. Jake was incredibly helpful, transparent about costs and friendly to boot - answering all of our (many!) questions! They replaced my ancient boiler, checked all the radiators, replaced some broken radiator thermostats, drained the system as expected and treated with Fernox. Coincidentally I had received a very high bill from Thames Water but couldn’t find evidence of a leak. I’d mentioned this to Jake and he went out of his way to find the problem. An overflow from a small tank in the roof had been positioned above a gutter so could not be seen from the ground. Scott came to deal with this and replaced ballcocks/valves . While later draining the system he detected a serious problem in the hot water tank which was still affecting the overflow, so I needed a new tank. He explained this really well. He changed the tank next day. Because of the extra work they came on one more day to finish off and obviously had to add the tank to the budget, but everything was done very quickly and efficiently. Total respect for my property and no scuffs even when getting the old tank down a narrow staircase. No dust left. No pauses and it was a pleasure to have Scott working in the house. Said If I need explanations they will pop in. Arguably ten stars not five! Arguably ten out of five all round.

Very easy to deal with, good prices, good work and nice team to deal with. Jobs always neat and everything works after.

Fitted new sink tap, was within 4hr booking window. Did a good job and was very tidy. Was kept upto date with the booking as this was for a rental property.

Minor issue post installation, fast and professional response on reporting and on arrival and issue resolved satisfactorily in a timely and professional manner with clear explanation.

After trying several repair organisations, who all declared they were not qualified to work on my system, I was delighted to find that Lucas were qualified. The engineer was onsite quickly, diagnosed the problem and fixed it all within 30 minutes. Restored my faith in heating engineers.

Very impressed with this company. Turned up promptly and did an excellent job. Very tidy and neat worker who cleared up well when finishing the work. Explained what he was doing along the way and took photos to show what work had been done. From the first telephone call to the finish of the work was impressive so would certainly use them again

James did a great job and returned when we found a valve on the floor. It turned out this was not due to James but he came back at the end of a long day to help us and gave advice.

Reported a problem and Lucas the engineer was here very quickly. Problem was identified as not related to any of their previous work but due to lack of storage in our loft. Great service thanks

I phoned Lucas Plumbing & Heating with a request for urgent assistance to deal with an oil leak from the fuel line. My first telephone impression was one of efficiency and immediate grasp of a difficult situation. Not having used the Company before cost and payment terms were clearly outlined. I was told to expect a call back and an appointment was made for the engineer that day. The engineer arrived as arranged and the problem was dealt with quickly, courteously and in a highly professional manner.

I’m always so happy with the consistency of high quality work that Lucas plumbing provide. I had problems with my underfloor heating and also needed to convert back a kitchen sink waste disposal system. The sink was done in the call out charge and also the solution and further prevention advice for the underfloor heating problem was sorted out. Jake’s advice will save me multiple call out charges later on so I’m grateful for that.

A water leak through ceiling light fitting and Lucas Plumbing & Heating attended first on 11/2/25 but still leaking afterwards after some remedial works, then further visit on 17/2/25 report said it was believed to be "user error" when using the shower. I advised that the issue was pipe work to the shower but was dismissed by plumber in attendance. On the fourth visit another plumber found the problem as I had said and on the fifth visit on 11/03/25 the leaking push fitting replaced with new copper fittings. meanwhile the ceiling damage has become worse and need to be replastered. Invoice received for first visit and paid. Second invoice for visit not paid. Third invoice received covering final completed work. We have used the company for many jobs in the past and we have had no problems.

We had an issue with our boiler defaulting to F25 during the extreme cold @ night time only . Reset on number of occasions worked for a while and then on a cold night would default Jake has been here this morning and identified potentially the cause and made a minor adjustment to the valve flow in the airing cupboard . Hopefully this will resolve the issue otherwise he said it could be the sensor within the boiler .
