We have used Lucas plumbing for a number of years. They do an excellent job, are prompt and polite.

I always use Lucas Plumbing & Heating. They are very reliable and all their Engineers are very polite and good at their job.

My former plumber retired, I contacted Lucas Plumbing having consulted Which Trusted Traders. I had a mixer tap on the kitchen sink which was just over 40 years old and clearly on its last legs. Lucas Plumbing sent a very reliable chap, who assessed the problem and returned a few days later to replace the tap with a new one. Subsequently I managed to block the sink : they appeared, fixed it, and left the sink immaculately clean, far cleaner than I have ever seen it. Apart from their efficient services in practical terms, Lucas Plumbing have another great advantage in that they have an Office Manager who deals with all incoming calls, so that you are not reduced to ringing someone's mobile whilst they are working on other jobs.

Did have to wait a while but it was worth it. Job carried out quickly and efficiently. Everything was well explained.

We suffered a leak in a pipe joint on 23 Nov, called Lucas Plumbing and they had someone with us at 8.00am the following morning. The leak was stopped and the pipe repaired very quickly and efficiently. Excellent service.

As per usual very good and efficient servicing of the boiler carried out on the day agreed. Boiler was only installed earlier this year by Lucas and service carried out in accordance with warranty/guarantee, nevertheless as usual all round excellent work from installation to service.

Provided central heating to my new build plus kitchen and bathroom plumbing. All done at short notice and complete within 10 days. Very polite guys, very tidy.

Lucas Plumbing were called out because we had issues with our combi boiler. The Engineer (Brian) arrived at the agreed time, he quickly appreciated the cause of the problem and was able to fix it. Before leaving he gave us a few tips as to how we should use the boiler which was very useful. The call-out cost was reasonable and I have no hesitation in recommending Lucas Plumbing & Heating.

We found ourselves without heating or hot water early in April this year. Also discovered the immersion hot water heater had also packed up. Had a promising start with Lucas plumbing with a quick initial response. But after the initial visits to fix the immersion heater, it was a nightmare. All in all, Lucas plumbing replaced the pump assembly, pressure sensor, relief valve assembly, expansion vessel, a full time consuming flush of the whole system and it still didn’t work. Engineers were great but were very poorly supported by the administrators and management. For some reason, the owner wouldn’t talk to me but preferred to relay messages via a poorly trained administrator even when he himself was in the office. They are too keen to say that new boiler is the solution and also promoting ATAG boilers that no one else has heard of or support. Eventually, I got ideal boilers out who identified the problem as a new heat exchanger and since then the boilers worked. I still had to chase Lucas plumbing to finish balancing the radiators and eventually an engineer turned up in July but never properly completed that element either. I gave up by then and I got another company to balance the system when the boiler was serviced by them last month.

Booked for a boiler service. Service was friendly, and efficient. No issues whatsoever, and I’ll be using this company again in the future.

This company has been providing me with boiler services as well as a replacement boiler and hot water tank. The service is thorough and the work has always been carried out on time and to the price quoted. I can only rate them as excellent.

After looking at the Which? Trusted Trader reviews of local installers I requested a quote from Lucas for a replacement for a working but 26-year-old boiler. The first visit by engineer for estimate was on agreed time and date. I had some predetermined ideas but the engineer was professional and competent and took me through some options to make a decision on. The quote was comprehensive and accurately reflected what we discussed. The work took 2 full days including a few items I asked them to do. We were left with a tidy site and hot water via the Immersion heater for one night the first day and the system fully installed by the end of the second. All in all, I can't fault the Company or service and a pleasure to deal with a local company who take pride in their work and customer service. Would highly recommend.

We had our annual boiler service carried out this week and the engineer arrived on time and carried out the service in a clean and efficient manner. He serviced the boiler last year too and in the interim the boiler worked without any issues occuring.

Easy to book online. Arrived when expected, courteous and considerate. Did a very good job, efficient and tidy. Will definitely use again.

I had an outside tap fitted in my back garden to avoid carrying watering cans through the house. Also installed a new kitchen tap. George and Kya were sensitive to my lack of mobility and insisted on helping move anything necessary. The special service aspects which stood out included the fitting of new valves under the kitchen sink when a leak was detected - at no extra cost - and the repositioning of an outdoor thermometer which was in the way of new piping. The overall job took four and a half hours and their cheerful and professional approach ensured a stress-free experience.

The team overcame a challenging installation (second floor) up two flights of stairs. They were friendly and efficient. The price was fair given the work done and the effort of moving the items from the garage to the second floor.

The work was for two elements of plumbing repairs and one was carried out on the first visit and the second, which was found to require an external repair from the water board, couldn't be carried out until approx. 3 weeks later. Both elements of work were carried out in a thoughtful, caring and professional manner and I am very happy with what was installed and carried out. Despite the need for an additional callout, Lucas Plumbing & Heating stuck to the original quotation price, which I thought was both fair and reasonable and I will readily use this company again and would strongly recommend them to anyone. In my view, they merit and deserve top marks!

Had 3 visits - problem identified, quoted, then new boiler installed. All staff arrived on time and were very courteous - answering all my silly questions! Boiler installed neatly and new controls explained well. Would highly recommend. Thanks chaps.

I have been using Lucas Plumbing for over 10 years. Jake who is the owner has helped me several times when I have had water leaking out of ceilings, toilets and radiators! Sometimes at just a few minutes' notice. I can't recommend him and his team enough - they are polite, work hard, clean up afterwards and do not rip you off!

Brian Hale and his apprentice from Lucas P & H replaced my boiler expansion vessel. They arrived within the timeframe advised. Brian took the time to explain the process and answer my questions. I contacted Lucas P & H originally because they are a local form, who did a great job for one of my neighbours a few months ago. I would have no hesitation in using them again.

I've used this company before a few times for other things (e.g. relocating a washing machine into the garage and plumbing it in). This was just a boiler service and a list of other niggles/worries. The engineer was polite, friendly and not fazed by my list of requests. He explained what might need further work and gave options on next steps. I'll be getting them back soon to do a few suggested improvements and have no hesitation in using this company in the future.
