Mark, who was recommended by a friend, installed a new consumer unit for me. Before starting, he carried out a thorough pre installation check and rectified all identified faults – he subsequently installed the new unit in a neat and professional way. Mark is clearly an expert in his field. He is competent, reliable, methodical and tidy, and his charges are fair and reasonable. All in all, I have no hesitation in recommending him.

I have used Mark twice now. The first time was to install LEDs in the bathroom and to tidy up some wiring. The second time was to install new front porch lamps & a security light. I am very happy with the work done, and the price was reasonable. Mark is a good & efficient worker who left no mess in my house. I would recommend him.

Request to replace six lights, the initial contact and quote were handled very well - a very slick process. Mark turned up on time, carried out the work to a high standard, explained a number of issues we should be aware of and returned without hesitation to attempt a fix on a faulty unit we had purchased. Pricing was fair and we will certainly be using Mark in the future.

My Mum used Mark to undertake some electrical work at her house. He carried out the work required but didn't clear up after himself and left all the brick dust and mess all over the driveway. The work he did only took around 20 minutes and he charged her £226 which I think is outrageous! The work that was completed only lasted a couple of months before the lights stopped working. My mum has since tried contacting Mark but he has refused to come back and take a look. I have also tried contacting him but only get through to a lady in the office who wouldn't give me a contact number for him and keeps saying they will call me back although this doesn't actually happen. Since then we've had to get another electrician in to put the work right who has advised her that Mark had only cut the sensors off and connected them back up which does not solve the issue. I will keep trying to get hold of him because I feel he should reimburse my Mum as we have had to pay for another electrician to fix his mistakes.

We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the service provided. We would and always do attend if a customer reports that something is not working. On this occasion what was reported to us was that one light was not working, as there were two existing light fitted which were wired together our response was to first check the existing light fitting itself. We heard nothing back after this and presumed that everything was OK. To be clear on the time and costs, from our records we arrived at 9.13am and finished at 11.24am, and the £226 quoted includes the materials used for the work and the VAT. We are a small family run business and pride ourselves on our personal service. Our apologies once again, we will adjust our practices to ensure we follow up with our customers if we do not hear back from them.

work involved : Remove electric fire fixed to the wall in bathroom Replace double socket in kitchen Replace single socket with double socket in garage. Small but essential jobs (particularly the fire on the bathroom wall which should never have been there!)..efficiently done (just under half an hour for the whole thing) at a very reasonable cost; Really nice to know I have a local electrician who I can trust & is prepared to turn out for small jobs & won't overcharge. I have no hesitation recommending this firm.

We had struggled to find a local electrician who was willing to replace two lighting units in a cloakroom and bathroom. Having approached four different electricians and been let down, we responded to an advertising card that M.T.R. electrics put through the door. We made an enquiry to M.T.R., got an instant response and arranged an appointment for an estimate to be prepared. Mark the electrician did everything he promised, was timely, reliable, and efficient. The work was undertaken promptly to a high standard and in a business-like way. We would highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again. Excellent standards of customer care.
