From our initial contact with Malcolm Ingram everything was carried out in a friendly and professional manner. Quotes arrived quickly, empty boxes were delivered to help us prepare, on the removal day the men were helpful and courteous and took care of all belongings. They finished packing on schedule and put our belongings in store for 3 months. When we were ready to move into our new home, Ingrams were flexible and transported our goods as required. Unloading was efficient, and they took away any of the packaging materials we had finished with. All were delivered without incident. Invoices were as expected and we would certainly recommend Ingrams.

We knew we wanted to use Ingram's for our move as we knew several people that had used them before and they came highly recommended and they certainly did not disappoint. They came promptly at 9am as promised worked so hard but so professionally, nothing is too much trouble. From beginning to end could not fault them. We used Ingrams for our house move, from the start of contacting Malcolm the service was outstanding. The three lads arrived promptly on moving day and could not have worked any harder, they are an absolute credit to the company. Polite, humorous and worked with such care, everything was loaded with absolute care, we knew all our possessions were in safe hands. The unload the following day was seamless and nothing was too much trouble. They definitely made such a stressful time much less stressful and were able to make it feel calm. From the moment we contacted Ingrams, they were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They were very friendly on the phone and always got right back to you. When packing all our stuff to put it into storage, they were very careful and considerate. They took care moving large items, and put down protective covers on the carpets and bannisters. When we moved into our new home, they were again very efficient, extremely helpful and trustworthy. They were friendly and approachable too. As we are unpacking boxes, we are so grateful for their careful packing of each item. We definitely recommend them.

This is a family run business and this was reflected in the care taken in our move and the quality of service that we received. Malcolm Ingram is a very personable individual and it was truly a pleasure to do business with him. On our removal day, the crew of three arrived on time and the removal van was fully loaded within 3 hours. Two of the removal team travelled with our possessions to Ireland , arriving two days later. On both occasions they were spot on schedule. On moving in, the crew took special care with everything and put down carpet protectors wherever they would be carrying items into the house. Everything was moved in without any damage to either walls or fixtures in our home or to the items being carried by the crew. We could not have asked for better service or a more pleasant and helpful removal team and are thoroughly satisfied with the excellent service that we received.

I contacted several removal companies, but Ingrams stood out. They came out took a look and gave me an estimate. Right from the outset thier approach was more friendly and professional. I collected packing materials from their business premises and even then various members of staff offered to help. On the day it was on time, quick and clean and they took time to ask where I expected everything to end up even before the keys to the new property were available. At the new place again it was quick and asked on every occasion where I wanted everything. Great people, made the move easy.

Ingrams have just moved us across Darlington, the second time we’ve used their services. Moving house is not fun, especially at our age! We have quite a lot of stuff after 50 years of accumulation but the team of 4 made light work of it. Importantly, they were not just efficient but helpful, humorous and considerate, going out of their way to get everything exactly as we wanted it. From first contact through pricing to collection of boxes after our move I cannot fault Ingrams and wholeheartedly recommend them.

My sister and I arranged for Ingram's to clear our mother's bungalow for us, after she sadly died earlier this year. From the start, Ian and Malcolm were helpful, kind, prompt, and efficient. Mam had kept the bungalow fairly tidy, but there was still tons of stuff to shift. Ingram's kept within agreed timing and budget, and we especially appreciated the trouble they take to get certain items to auction and to charity, as well as their responsible use of landfill. They also took the time to leave the bungalow very clean and neat. They did a sad and difficult job very well for a grieving family. If you want a removals/clearance firm with integrity, Ingram's is the one for you. Highly recommended.

What a great job Ingrams did with our move last week from County Durham to Fife, Scotland! The guys did a brilliant job, loading and unloading in about 2 hours at each end, and dealing with the rather awkward access in their stride. Nothing was too much trouble, and we were very pleased with the service we received from everyone at Ingrams. Would recommend 100 %!

From my initial enquiry to the final box being unloaded, Ingrams were outstanding. Malcolm and Ian Ingram are so warm and friendly on the phone and offered me advice and helped regarding my move which had restricted access. I was provided with many boxes, wrapping and portable wardrobes which we soon filled up but they brought us more on the day. The 3 man removal team were very respectful and polite and took great care with all my items and the whole operation went without a hitch. I can’t recommend this company enough, I was so worried about the whole thing and as soon as they arrived my fears faded away. Top class service. Thank you.

Moving home for the first time in 37 years was a prospect which filled me with dread. But from my first contact with Malcolm Ingram my concerns/worries shrank considerably. His calm reassurances, and help with even some of the most minor of detail, confirmed all would be well. On the day of the move the tone was set by the three men who carried out the move. Smiling, efficient and energetic, I knew we were in good hands. They emptied our home quietly, with care, to the point you had to remind yourself they were actually there. We missed a couple of items, small and of no significant value, but we were asked should they be packaged and placed on the removal lorry. That is just one of many examples of their attention to detail. Once at the other end, no sign of flagging, if anything the level of professionalism picked up a gear. Not content to place items in a room designated by us, they were keen to know where exactly furniture should be placed to our satisfaction. The men never lost their good nature, handled all our queries and moved our belongings as if their own. I do not intend to ever move again - famous last words - but if I ever did, Malcolm Ingram would be my first port of call. Thank you so much to you all.

They have been so obliging and good natured and made the move so much easier than I anticipated. It was sad to see them leave this morning. An absolute pleasure to put our house move completely in their hands. Nothing was a bother, everything went so smoothly with the loading of our possessions, they were so thoughtful and caring, on time and very polite. The waiting about for keys was a different matter. The removals wagon was sat outside our new home for over four and a half hours, we didn't know if things were going to happen before 5pm or not and the men just sat and waited without a bother. Mr Ingram himself was getting a bit worried for us and kept intouch throughout the afternoon, he was very sympathetic about the situation, even asked if we had somewhere to stay if the keys were not handed over and completion didn't go ahead. Eventually 4.50pm we got the keys, full steam ahead and Mr Ingram kindly sent another 4 men's out to us to help get us in and sorted out in no time at all. We were so grateful to them all for what they did, can't thank them enough. We have no intention of ever moving again but if we do Ingrams would be the firm to move us. Ingrams moved us from the South East of England in November 2022 to Bishop Auckland, and finally into our refurbished property in March 2023. The job was quoted and priced remotely and the move-out went very smoothly. Most items went into storage, although some went to the new house / building site, or our short term rental. Items were finally retrieved from storage in March 2023. The team members for both moves were all very helpful and polite - which is so important - at what is a super stressful time. Some furniture bolts went missing in the move, but these were quickly replaced. Staff in the office are also really helpful. Customer service was great and we'd thoroughly recommend Ingrams.

We moved house earlier this week and would thoroughly recommend Ingram’s. They were excellent from the first quote to the final clearance of our empty cartons! They were very reassuring confirming the removal dates and process. Emails were answered promptly and although there was uncertainty over the exchange of contracts for our sale/purchase, they were patient and understanding throughout. On the removal day, the lads who packed the lorry were fantastic - they were very considerate and professional through the whole removal process. On our move-in day, the lorry arrived at our new house at the agreed time and the lads unloaded very efficiently. They were careful and tidied up as they went. They were absolutely brilliant and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is moving. A brilliant job!

We’ve had Malcolm & the team move us & our parents numerous times, they never disappoint. Which is the reason we didn’t think about using anyone else to move house. The team are professional, friendly, easygoing, worked their socks off for 2 days solid, with any help & request’s never a bother for them. This is the second time I've used Ingrams for a house move and wouldn't consider using anybody else. Sure you may get cheaper quote for a "man with a van", but trust me, the stress isn't worth it. From the initial call and a chat with Malcom, it was only a matter of hours before Cameron came over and gave me a valuation for the job. Boxes, garment carriers and packing paper were all included in the price and were delivered the next day. On moving day itself, the guys turned up at 9:00 and had the whole place packed up within 2.5 hrs. They worked like trojans! There was a delay in getting my new keys and even though it meant they would finish late, there was no negativity at all from them. The guys had to dismantle a wardrobe to get it out of the house and reassembled it (better than my original job) at the new house. They very helpfully placed the heavy furniture exactly where I wanted it to go in each room and even plumbed the washing machine back in. They never stopped moving from the moment they started packing/unpacking until they were done. They are an absolute credit to Ingrams. Moving house is a pricey business, but the benefits of using a reputable firm like this where everything is well managed and cared for and you don't have to stress about getting out of a house by a certain time is worth its weight in absolute gold!

I used Ingram’s Removals last time I moved house, 19 years ago. They are not the cheapest option, but offer excellent value for money & I had no hesitation in engaging them again for my move on 31.1.24. Malcolm & Ian, the business owners, are friendly & accommodating. Their employees, without exception, are professional, friendly and efficient. This is a company of people who make a difficult, stressful time much more straightforward. Highly recommend!

Ingrams were very accommodating and professional from start to finish, especially working to quite a tight timeframe before Christmas. They provided a very reasonable quote in the first instance and we were grateful for the range of boxes and packing materials available. On the day of the move, the guys did a fantastic job (in atrocious weather!) and everything was transported in one van load. Even taking boxes up into the loft was no trouble. Malcolm and Ian have years and years of experience and they really know their business. I can honestly say that they made the very stressful process of moving house so much smoother and manageable, I can recommend them wholeheartedly!
