We were fortunate to find Matt to renovate and install our new kitchen. From the outset Matt communicated with us and provided clear estimates in a timely manner. His expertise and advice was invaluable as we developed the project. As he removed the old kitchen it became rather more than a kitchen fit as there were ceilings, floors and walls to renovate. Matt and his associates were able to take on the additional work and keep progress moving. We found them a very considerate and pleasant team delivering a high standard of workmanship. The kitchen is a delight and working with Matt has been reassuring at all times. I would have no reservations in recommending Matt to friends and neighbours. Hopefully he will be able to do further work for us shortly.

Selecting who to trust with a home make-over is not easy for people like me who know little about the construction world. Happily for me I opted for Matthew Stroud Associates. Matthew suggested good bathroom and kitchen suppliers, which helped my budget and delivered great quality. The team were very considerate, working so I didn't have to move items into storage and arranging for me to have a space to sleep and work when I needed to use the flat. When the COVID pandemic struck, the team continued working with sensible arrangements that respected social-distancing etc. I very much appreciated how the team wanted me to be entirely happy with everything - from coming up with creative solutions to taking the trouble to sort out a few snagging issues. The result - a happy customer who would readily work with Matthew Stroud again.

The grill element had gone on my Zanussi built in oven. The Zanussi engineer came but couldn't slide the oven out as there was something blocking it. Matthew came round and after enormous efforts managed to remove the blockage and get the oven out. He then refused to take any payment. Matthew is a hero!

We had floors in a perilous state in both the bathroom and kitchen. We live in a block of flats that has insurance built into the service charges so both jobs were the subject of claims. Matthew was the only one of three contractors to look at the problems and definitively identify the causes and solutions. I need to highlight the work he did in managing the loss adjuster who had completely missed the cause of the issue with the kitchen floor and had refused to bless the claim. Matthew was right, and the loss adjuster had to agree to the work being supported. While the wrangling with the insurers continued Matthew deployed his team to complete the work on both rooms. His guidance on choice of materials and the type of finish that would work was invaluable. We subsequently took the chance to have further decorative work done while his team was on hand and we have been thoroughly pleased with the massive lift that this has given to our home. This was complex and invasive work to undertake while we were still in the flat. Matthew's team took great care to leave the site as clean and tidy as could be expected so that normal life could continue around it: this was much appreciated.

I needed my bathroom completely refurbishing, and commissioned Matthew Stroud to do the work following the positive reviews on Which? Trusted Traders. It was a trickier than usual job, as a wall had to be demolished, and the outlet pipe for the toilet had to be routed under a roof space and out through the wall to meet the soil pipe. Multiple skills were needed - plumbing, electrics, building, joinery, tiling, flooring and decorating. Matthew was not fazed by any of this - he rapidly assessed what needed to be done, and project managed the whole process. His team were very good - Ed and the boys worked hard and well, and always cleaned up at the end of each day's work. Happy to recommend him. I would certainly use him again.
