We had seen this firm working in the area, but had recently had a visit from someone else professing to be an expert in tree surgery and offering to prune our trees and shrubs at twice the price we were subsequently quoted by Meadowside Tree Care. Alison spent time with us on her initial visit explaining just what needed doing and giving advice as to what shrubs/trees we could plant to replace those that were going to be removed. She arrived punctually on the appointed day with a colleague and all the work was accomplished within the morning, without any fuss or mess. We were delighted and feel that the award of Which Trusted Trader is certainly merited.

The title of this review summarises this firms approach to the service they provide. We have dealt with them on two occasions and their approach has been the same. It feels like you have dealt with friends rather than a contractor. Their approach to everything is professional and knowledgeable. They arrive, get on with the job and leave everywhere tidy. Our trees have TPOs and they obtained the necessary permissions for the work. They are thoroughly deserving of top marks.

The work was done very efficiently with the minimum disruption. They were extremely professional and did a brilliant job in difficult circumstances following a fire in the garden. They are booked in for a further day's work in a couple of weeks time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone else. They were polite and showed consideration.

Rang Meadowside Tree Care on a Tuesday morning to ask for a quote to remove 2 trees from the front of our house. Alison came the same day to assess the job and explained in detail what would be involved. She was very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of tree removal, e.g. whether permission is required, disturbance of wild birds, detection of underground pipes and electrical cables, etc. On the Wednesday she dropped by to gives us the quotation. The price quoted was very reasonable, so I rang her Wednesday evening to ask her to go ahead. She rang Thursday to say that she could do the job on Friday. Whilst we were at work on Friday, the two trees were felled, their stumps ground and all the wood removed leaving the site very clean and tidy. We could not have asked for better service. We highly recommend Meadowside Tree Care and will definitely use them again if and when needed in the future.

I hired Meadowside to cut down/poison a large hawthorn and cherry tree, cut down various smaller trees plus prune back part of an overhanging hedge and sever a lot of the ivy choking it in preparation for some fencing work. If I remember rightly they did the site visit the day after I contacted them and a detailed quote was emailed to me within an hour of the visit (impressive). They turned up on time and the three of them slogged all day until finished with only a short break for dinner. They left me a big pile of logs for our wood burner as requested and shredded and disposed of everything else. They were polite, friendly, tidied up at the end and also gave me some useful advice. Can't really comment on the cost as this was the first time I'd hired a tree surgeon and didn't get other quotes due to the pressing fencing issue. However they will definitely be top of my list for work to be done next year and I have also recommended them to colleagues. I didn't have any problems at all with this firm.

Trevor carried out some tree work for us in March 2014 which involved felling and stump grinding one tree and removing branches and shaping another 2 trees. As we live in a conservation area, he made an excellent application to the council and then promptly undertook the work when the consent came through. He was very professional ,knowledgable and friendly and the entire process was made very simple for us. I would highly recommend Meadowside Tree Care.
