At Octopus Energy, we make it easy for homeowners to upgrade to cleaner, smarter, energy-efficient homes. You don’t have to be an Octopus Energy customer to use our services.

Whether it’s fitting a Cosy heat pump, installing solar panels and battery storage, or setting up an EV charger, our experienced team handles the entire process from design to installation. We take time to understand each home’s needs and make sure every system is fitted safely and neatly.

Customers can track and manage their energy through the Octopus app and access our range of money-saving smart tariffs. Aftercare is included for all products, with support available 7 days a week to ensure peace of mind before, during, and after installation.

Hi there, I am so sorry. Reading through this, it’s clear we’ve let you down, and we’ve made what should have been an exciting upgrade feel like a total headache. From the shifting arrival times without a proper heads-up, to the confusion around the app for those not on Octopus Energy yet - this is exactly the kind of "standard utility" experience we started Octopus to get away from. It sounds like you spent your whole day waiting around for answers that never came, and that’s not okay. I’m especially frustrated to hear our Tech Support didn't get back to you. I’m heading into our Brighton office tomorrow to sit down with the engineering team, find out exactly why those calls were missed, and get a proper fix for your firmware and app setup. Initial quote was fully 8k cheaper than other one from local company and it was exactly what we paid. From first contact to completion took less than two weeks. Installation took 5 days and the whole team was so professional and delightful to have around the place. I honestly couldn't be more impressed.

The engineer called the day before to provide an estimated arrival time and talked me through everything that would happen at the install. He arrived on time and explained what he would do. The Octopus EV charger installer Kieran arrived on time and greeted me personally. We discussed the best way to route the cabling from the meter to the charger. He opted for the most elegant run , even though it meant taking up two paving slabs and chiselling the cement base to enable the cable to run under the doorstep. He gave a demonstration of the charger controls and took away all the packaging and left the area tidy.

The installation went very smoothly
I could not recommend this service enough after our recent experience. I had concerns about the installation being disruptive especially as I have a child in the home that is very sensitive to noise and change. However care and consideration was taken at all times by the instalador.

Started my journey in September 2025 when I paid my deposit after just moving in to my new home. Sales team were of course very helpful but then there was almost no communication, phone calls to several different personal representatives were rarely returned although promises of fast response were made! Eventually we had an installation date then the scaffolding didn’t arrive on time and several calls were not returned until 2 days after by which time the scaffolding had arrived. Installation teams were very helpful and worked very hard, coming early and working late! I can’t fault the product, it works very well and the price of oil which was our original heating makes it all the more worthwhile!

Our installation crew will be chuffed to hear your shout-out - they really do work their socks off. But to be completely transparent with you, the communication side of your journey sounds pretty rubbish, and we are so sorry about that. Leaving you hanging after you’ve paid a deposit - and then dropping the ball on the phone calls when the scaffolding didn't show up - is completely on us. Moving house is stressful enough without us adding to it! We want to dig into exactly what went wrong behind the scenes to make sure it doesn't happen again. Could you drop us a quick email? The original Hypervolt charger was delivered and installed 18/08/25 which worked for a few months then stopped working in mid November. I notified Octopus who send an engineer to repair it, which was unfortunately unsuccessful and he didn’t have a spare charger with him. Consequently I waited a couple of weeks for a new charger to be installed. Due to the wait Octopus credited my Electroverse card as compensation. When the new charger was installed it has continued to work to this day.

Great solar green energy installation
Once I contacted Octopus about my solar panels, battery and ev charger I knew I was in the best hands for green energy advice. They have outstanding throughout the whole process. Dedicated project managers who made everything run to plan with no unpleasant surprises. In fact everyone concerned with my installation was available with helpful and practical advice. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Octopus to anyone as both installers and green energy providers.

EV Charger & Air Source Heat Pump

We had decided to get an EV to replace an ageing Toyota Hybrid but needed to get the charger first so we were ready for it. Our energy supplier, Octopus Energy, offered a couple of options for what we thought was a good price after reviewing what was available online. The engineer arrived at the appointed time and did the work very professionally, with only a very small time when power to the house was turned off. We chose the OHME Home Pro and have been very happy both with the charger and the overnight 6 hours of very low priced electricity from the Intelligent Octopus Go tariff we have opted for. A year on and we decided we could be even more green and change our ageing gas boiler for an air source heat pump. Octopus could not have done more to help us on the road. We had three engineers for four days to install everything and, even in January, were not too cold while the heating was off. The engineers were superb and now, 4 months on, we are contemplating getting rid of gas altogether (we still have a gas range cooker and a gas fire) and getting Octopus to take out our gas meter to be even more green. Octopus really have great customer service and can't be faulted on anything you ask them for. This review may sound OTT but that's our experience of them.

The engineer was excellent and nothing was a drama. Everything was completed to a very high standard. The earthing rod was completely hidden. Everything was set up and explained to me by the engineer. I was a bit of an EV sceptic, but my hybrid is brilliant and with home charging is saving me a fortune in fuel. It turned out to be a good time to make the move. As a result of this I now have batteries installed by Octopus and this has dramatically changed our energy usage.

He could easily of said no, but went above and beyond to ensure it was installed just as I requested. Very neat job. Walked me through how to use it and tested a car charge. Very happy!

Octopus installed EV charger, advising that they would arrive 08.30-09.00 and take 3-4 hours. They asked us to install Octopus app ahead of their arrival. Installation of app requires login which we didn't have as our energy is from different supplier. Rang the nominated Tech Support person who didn't answer call or respond to voice message. After 07.30 on day of installation received message saying that engineer had to complete previous day's work and would arrive around 11.00 - no apology or asking if that's ok. Why didn't he message previous day? Had to cancel own arrangements for that afternoon. At 11.00 another message saying ETA 11.45. Engineer had to contact colleague as he didn't know how to resolve app issue. Took nearly 4 hours to install charger. Set charger to install firmware, which Octopus say "takes 15 minutes, so make yourself a cup of tea". Engineer left site to pick up equipment for following week's job, saying it's 10 minutes down the road. Arrived back 55 minute later, to find firmware still not updated. Didn't know how to resolve this so eventually left saying "hopefully it will be okay by tomorrow" Have made follow up calls to Tech Support, none of which have been answered and voice messages not responded to.

Air Source Heat Pump

Octopus spent a week installing a 8.5kw Daikin Air Source Heat Pump, The work included removing the gas boiler and pipe work, decommissioning the gas meter, upgrading 90% of our radiators, upgrading our hot water cylinder (2x the original capacity), removing two cold water tanks from the loft space and converting our hot water supply to mains pressure. All this took just a week. All as per survey, all on-time and to cost. Installation notes. The Daikin heat pump sits to the northwest facing side of our house with plenty of breathing space. The feed and return pipework, plus the mains supply to the heat pump is routed via our loft space, where it replaces the original feed and return from the original gas boiler. One important note is that we have 15mm pipework upstairs and microbore pipework downstairs. ALL works well. Thank you Octopus.
