Octopus engineer installed a EV unit in our home. Octopus emailed us to update when we were getting the equipment. Engineer phoned to ask questions and see pictures of electrical meter in house the day before. Gave us a time of arrival. Engineer was very careful, checking all work, also all work was very tidy. Also helped us install app and how it worked. Made sure we knew how to use the equipment fitted before he left. Very happy with this install.

Thought it would be a difficult install but the technician said 'no problem'. It was complicated but he worked through it and produced an excellent job. The wiring and installation was difficult but the end result was very good. He did a test charge of the car and briefly explained what I had to do and to contact Octopus next day when the charger had done the system install. The user manual left a lot to be desired as I couldn't connect to the system next day and there was a problem with setting up our account. Annoying but not catastrophic. All in all not a bad experience.

Octopus Energy customer service was exemplary! Very courteous quick and very well explained by Ben the installer who turned up on time, all the way from Scunthorpe. The work was carried out around the time of heatwave, but the electrician was efficient and did a neat job. Whilst the roofer worked very quickly when he arrived.

I've just had my EV home charger installed by Octopus Energy, and the entire experience from start to finish was completely seamless. From booking the installation to the final demonstration. A massive thanks to their installer, Gordon, who carried out the work at my property today. Gordon was absolute class from the moment he arrived. He was extremely professional, courteous, and polite, Before getting started, he walked me through the planned cable routing and installation layout, ensuring I was completely happy with where everything was going and how the finished setup would look. The quality of Gordon’s workmanship is 2nd to none . He took real pride in what he was doing, and it clearly shows in the final result. The wiring, conduit, and mounting are incredibly neat, tidy, and clean—there are no loose ends or messy finishes anywhere. He treated my home with immense respect throughout the job, leaving the installation area spotless once he was finished. What really stood out was how thorough and clear Gordon was after the physical installation was completed he took the time to guide me through the operation of the charger step-by-step. Octopus is our existing and m much appreciated electricity supplier so a natural to quote for EV charger fitting. From the initial enquiry (we're not not a straightforward case) through to the completed installation, my contact and our fitter were responsive, helpful, professional, supportive and effective. More than. happy with the service and more than happy to recommend.

Excellent system and good quality professional installation. Communication prior to installation could have been better sometimes a frustrating experience.

Day of install started with disagreement on how to access pipe work. Refused to go through ceiling which was partially removed due to ongoing building work and would only access through floorboards. What was agreed between customer and engineer after survey not same as notes after survey which were not sent to customer. Communications: were slow to respond some times. Plumbing done to convenience of plumber leaving ugly pipe work which had to be redone after install. Electrical cabling around outside of house spoiled by earthing cable. Would have looked better if placed inside tubing as per our solar install. Happy with the tank install in cupboard - very neat and well installed. Tidied and cleaned up well when job finished. Overall I’m happy with running of heat pump and app but installation spoiled by poorly finished work. I would recommend with some reservations.

We had an Octopus heat pump installed. From beginning to end it’s been an absolute breeze. We knew all the information we needed to know from the works we needed to complete before the install went ahead to our install date and when works would be completed etc.

Octopus heat pump install went really well from first deposit right through. Surveys were well done, questions answered and I had plenty of time to make the decisions on what I wanted to do. The installation team did a great job and were clearly experienced and cared about their work and their customers. The back office team also were friendly and helpful. No complaints and convinced this was a good decision.

I had an EV charger installation and since I already had solar and batteries it was slightly more complicated. Octopus engineer did a very neat job and simultaneously tidied some previous work so it all fitted nicely and looked more professional. The whole job was very neat, it was tested on charge n everything checked. Site was left very tidy n clean.

The exact day of the install was superb, the two cancelled appointments with less than 24 hours notice beforehand wasn’t from the EV team. However the installer was a clear 10/10. I cannot rate Danny highly enough. A superb job from start to finish. Articulate & thorough & walked me right through the process.

I had to wait a couple of weeks after getting the car for the charger installation but was very happy with the process on the day. Engineer called about an hour in advance, very professional approach, friendly but cracked on, gave clear information about the charger and App. Took just over 2 1/4 hours. Very satisfied.

Prior to the installation, Octopus staff requested photographs and video of the area and possible routes for the charger installation and routes to where the charger socket was to be installed. When the engineer arrived a quick discussion about where the charger was to be installed and the route of the cable. Workmanship first class, cleaning up as he went. No complaints.

Purchased a tesla battery. Information from the tec team was good. Price was very competitive. Installation was very good. Octopus also installed a heat pump in May and part way through a solar panel system, all using Octopus. I would use Octopus again and definitely recommend the company. The only negative is relating to the timescales, due to popularity of the products as well as being a bit remote.

Octopus Energy recently fitted a new heat pump to my property. From start to finish I have been super impressed with the company. Very well organised, efficient and very professional throughout. The quality of work was first class, and every detail of the project has been considered. The total cost of installation came in at a very reasonable price given the additional support from the Government BUS grant, it was a no brainer as the cost of gas is escalating. I would recommend this company to anyone who was considering a heat pump

Even though there was a delay in the installation date the customer service agent kept me informed. The installer on the day was top class, full explanation kept disruption to a minimum and was extremely neat and tidy with his work. Highly recommend you use Octopus for your EV charger installation.

Comms on installation were great and installer arrived bang on time with reminders before hand. Installed in a crack and left no mess. Gave some great advice and talked me through app set up. Even gave me advice on other sustainable tech and billing. As with my main Octopus services, services the CX is stunning. I get we all want a great deal and the lowest prices but I tend to prioritise experience over price and to that end, Octopus are winning. They are so far ahead of the competition I do not see a world where anyone catches them!

Octopus were competetive (I obtained two quotes) and installed on the scheduled day. The electricians were neat and tidy and did a great job. The Octopus rep was also very helpful. The battery has worked well in the 2 weeks since installation and almost eliminated my peak rate charges.

We were kept informed of the process from day one to receiving a call a few days before install from our lovely engineer just checking details & confirming time of installation. Install went smoothly & Steve our engineer was very professional who took the time to go through the procees/app, even saying if we had any problems we could call. We were very lucky that it only took around 15days from purchase of our Ohme to install, so would recommend using Octopus 🐙 anytime.

The initial briefing advised a 5 week turnaround, but after 3 weeks we were told that, if we answered some more questions and they did some stuff, we could expect installation in 4-6 weeks. We contacted O to point out how unhelpful that was. The tech supervisor took this on board and got us an install date within the original 5 weeks we had expected. The installation was very smooth. My new Heat Pump was recently installed by Melvyn and his team. I needed all new radiators and pipework, which they installed carefully and thoughtfully. A lot of communication each day explaining what would be happening and when. The new heating has been installed with minimal disruption and carefully laid out to be as unobtrusive as possible. Very pleased with the installation and the system.

Survey polite but not extensive enough. Did not check the size of the pipes under the floorboards but made an assumption and did not check the evacuation route for the hot water cylinder. Install team was excellent, solving problems in the neatest and most pragmatic ways. Seems to be good value - 10 radiators and a large Grant heat pump installed.

I have had a great experience with Octopus since joining. It was a no-brainer for me to use them to supply and fit my new car charger when I moved. From survey to install was two weeks and the job was done brilliantly. The cable and electrical work was great and the tech was checked and tested and I was shown how to use it. I had an EON charger before that was complicated; I cannot recommend Octopus chargers as they are so simple to use.

As a customer of Octopus Energy, and with the high number of positive reviews from companies such as Which?, we decided to contact Octopus re Air-to-Air Heat Pumps. After completing the online request form, we were quickly given the details of a Preferred Supplier that would be in touch re our request. A week later, we were contacted by the company to inform us that they didn’t cover our area. We emailed Octopus to inform them, but received no response. Still interested in sustainable energy, we contacted Octopus customer services to find out why no one was responding to our email and our request. The customer service representative said that this level of service was not acceptable and would pass on our commitments to the relevant department and that someone would come back to us. Another period of time passed with no response. We again contacted customer services; we were again told that this level of service was not acceptable and someone from the sustainable energy team would be in touch. We did receive information from another supplier saying that they would be in contact in the next few days; again, there was nothing from this company. We again contacted Octopus Energy and told them the same thing: that this is not acceptable and someone would be contacting us about our request. Nothing was received from Octopus over the next three weeks. We received an email from an Octopus Energy Complaints Manager stating that Octopus is not at fault, as they outsource their Sustainable energy solutions.

Extremely pleased with the smooth and efficient fitting of our new EV charger. The engineer came at the time agreed and did a smashing job of the charger. Very pleasant and professional at all times and put us at ease with answers to our questions. The cabling and units were very symmetrical and secure. Can't fault it in any respect. Well pleased.

Octopus have been the best provider I have ever joined for my energy at this point. I have also purchased a Tesla solar battery, retrofitted by them to my existing solar panels, referred to me by family, both of us were financially rewarded for the referrals. I cannot recommend them enough; customer service is perfect, installation people fast and efficient, very clean, tidy and respectful of property.

You've seen the too good to be true adverts of cheap solar and batteries, and heard the horror stories of installations gone wrong. After paying a premium a few years back for a 'professional' bathroom installation which I then spent most of the time reinstalling over the following years - I was wary. A friend of mine had gone with Octopus for an installation elsewhere and after 6 months he still seemed really happy with it - so I took the leap. Yes the 'payback' has hovered around 10 years but as I'm going to stay in my current home for at least the next 5 years I figured it was worth me hedging my bets against rising electricity prices (since when does anything ever come down in price?). Everything has been really professional from the scaffolding team who worked through some of the hottest days of the year, to the installation, including the neatest and tidiest electrician work I think I've ever seen. All in all, the installation was carried out faster than I expected and has performed without flaw with the recent rainstorms giving the roof a good test. I'm perfectly happy. If there is a negative - I do sometimes find myself checking the app to wonder how much power the panels are producing but after the first week I've left the panels to do their job and now don't worry about the power too much during the day.

We have recently started a 3 year lease with Octopus with an EV and had the charger installed by them. The service all the way through has been very efficient. Helpful phone calls with real people for clear information. Well informed about waiting times for cars and charger fitting. They were in fact very quick to supply and fit. The installer was particularly good and explained everything clearly and helped choose the perfect installation spot in a conservation area. Very happy with the car and process so far (2 days in!!)

After a long journey from initially enquiring about the system to the installation was a fair length of time but once it was finished it was way better than expected. The whole process was stressful at times but now we’re up & running we’re glad we chose Octopus, communication was fantastic, installation staff were great also & although it ran a day later than expected it’s now working perfectly.

I was impressed with Octopus from the time I ordered to the time my charger was fitted. After ordering I had to change my installation date but Octopus were great and sorted it out really easily. On the day of installation I was called by the engineer to say he was on his way and when he arrived he was very polite and a competent and clean worker. I have just switched back to Octopus Energy, the process was completed in 2 -3 days without issue. I enquired about installation of an EV charger at home. Everything was explained and decided to go ahead, within 2 weeks my EV charger was installed. Octopus are always available to help and support, which is quite rare in these modern times.

The communication leading up to the installation was very average, and unless we chased our contact at Octopus very little seemed to happen. I have had an Octopus Air Source Heat pump installed replacing a gas combi boiler - providing heating and hot water. I am now off gas entirely. Octopus also removed existing boiler and disconnected old gas supply. (had nearly all my rads replaced) The whole process has been great from the initial enquiry to the completed installation. The initial surveyor was thorough and clear. The quotation was great value. The booking process was good all online which was great. The installers were excellent and very friendly. The radiators were not as big as i expected (i had imagined huge radiators). The cosy 9 heat pump outside look quite good and loads better than the metal boxes of other products. the cosy is also very quiet. Only used hot water so far but works really well and much cheaper than gas (using cheaper over night electricity). Haven't used heating yet. But confident that it will work fine. Aftercare package is really good and good value. Deposit only £200 and only have to pay full amount after system is installed and i was happy. and most importantly my wife is delighted :).

Have just had solar panels set up and feel very confident that even though i may not fully understand how it all works, I know how to get help if I need it. The job was all done to schedule and the employees, every one of them, had excellent social skills. As a widow of advancing years, I felt supported and reassured throughout the process. Octopus have certainly lived up to their reputation and I fully recommend them.

EV charger install. Up front comms excellent and clear. Installer was brilliant in the day and clearly explained what was going to happen. We ran into a problem with our earthing that was our issue to sort but we our installer and the office ensured we knew exactly what was needed and guided us. This enables to get remedial works sorted and then the installation was completed. Individuals and communications were excellent. Delighted with the service and their professional and supportive approach. Not what I’ve ever had from other providers in this sector.

Octopus are a joy to deal with. I have just ordered an Electric Lease car and this includes having a charger fitted at my house. The communication was excellent from ordering to booking the installation date. The engineer was fantastic - polite, courteous, thorough and very tidy. I can not fault the service.

The team at Octopus kept us informed the loop through every step. They were super helpful, allowed us to tailor our new system to meet our requirements and the price was fantastic. The extra panels and large battery mean that we are generating enough power to meet all our needs.

The guy that did the installation from Octopus was Joel. This guy was a legend, talked me through everything and explained it all very clearly! The work was neat, tidy and just clean! I was worried about messy cable routing but this guy made sure it was super slick!

The tech expert assigned to us, Will, was very good at assessing the suitability of the proposed installation, outlining the process, picking up questions and keeping us informed throughout. Our installation engineer (Pez) helped guide on positioning of the charger and did a very neat job installing it, and talked us through use of the app and charging process. The installation took place approximately 3 weeks after the oder date, which was sooner than expected. Communication prior to the installation was excellent - what information they needed and what we needed to know. The engineer rang the day before to confirm a time and rang again on the morning of the installation. From the time that we booked the survey to completion, we found Octopus efficient and friendly. They were honest about the issues that might arise and worked to find solutions. The price was good, especially with the government grant and the ability to pay over an extended period with no up-front costs. The actual cost, including a service plan was less than we were paying for a service plan for the gas boiler that they took out. The team installing the system were excellent at all times and worked hard to minimise the disruption caused by the work of removing the gas boiler and tank and installing the new system and radiators. Very professional.

From the initial survey through to the completed installation, Octopus Energy were excellent throughout the whole process. The consideration for our home was of paramount importance to both Octopus and ourselves, and they did not let us down. The install team in particular were extremely considerate, diligent, careful and respectful, highlighting top notch skills. To date, the ASHP has not been heavily utilised but it all appears to be functioning well. Great teamwork by all involved

We were already very satisfied Octopus Energy customers. From the first enquiry regarding solar panels, our confidence in Octopus remained high, and with justification. Initial enquiries were handled quickly and with great professionalism. Both sales and technical representatives were polite, knowledgeable, and seemed genuinely keen to help and guide us through the process; nothing was too much trouble. A suitable system was identified at an acceptable price, and the full process and timetable were explained in detail, with regular communication of updates. A date was set for installation and adhered to. The entire work, from preparatory scaffolding to system commissioning and removal of scaffolding, took less than three days. All technical installation personnel were Octopus employees (not sub-contractors); even the scaffolders were regular Octopus operators, known to the installation guys. The work was carried out efficiently and professionally and with respect for us and our property. It was very noticeable how the different trades worked in unison. Commissioning and technical explanation and description of the app by the electrician was comprehensive. The system is working perfectly, and the ongoing process for connection and export to the grid is all being handled by our dedicated Low Carbon Tech Specialist, who keeps us updated on progress. Based on our experience to date, we would certainly recommend Octopus Energy Services.

Octopus Energy have installed a new air source heat pump at my house, removing the old gas boiler and hot water tank, and disconnecting the gas supply. The actual installation took 4 days during which the team took pains to minimise disruption to our hot water supply. The installers were friendly as well as competent. The team leader described to me how it all worked and made sure I knew how to operate the app on my phone. He also left his personal phone number in case I had any queries.

Safwaan, who did so much of the work behind the scenes, was an absolute diamond. He picked up our job from a colleague who had left, and the level of service he provided was honestly far beyond what I expected from an energy company. Wayne, Steven and the rest of the engineers who came to install our heat pump were fantastic — incredibly friendly, professional and approachable. My kids loved talking to them and learning about how the heat pump works! The team worked tirelessly for three days, even through the heatwave, with absolutely no fuss. Just a super-cool team who clearly take pride in what they do. I’ve already recommended Octopus to my neighbours, and one of them is now in the process of getting a heat pump installed through Octopus too! One final point worth mentioning: the installation unexpectedly required some trees to be removed, which wasn’t identified in the original survey. Octopus took full responsibility for this and ultimately offered us a very good alternative solution. That really showed the level of customer care they provide. The Octopus Customer Service team really is a dream team to work with. A huge thank you to everyone involved — you all did a super job!

Every aspect of using Octopus Energy has been great; their customer service is impeccable. Any time we have needed to speak to someone in person, they are very clear and concise with their information. We have used them for a number of years now. I have also recently taken up a lease of an OctopusEV car plan and had my free charger installed by Octopus Energy today. I must say the communication between both aspects of the company has been great. My partner and I have referred numerous friends as they are a cut above the rest for energy providers..

From start to finish I was impressed with the service provided by Octopus Energy. My project manager was unfailingly helpful and well informed, and guided me through the whole process. He answered my emails and calls swiftly and was very patient! Every operative, from the scaffolders to the installation team to the back office, was polite, thoughtful and efficient. It was a pleasure to have them on site. I was always kept up to date with progress and I am confident that, should I have further questions now the installation is complete, these will be answered swiftly. The work was completed on time and within budget and my home was left tidy and clean.

I went with Octopus following a great experience with their air source heat pump team. The solar team is, unfortunately, useless. I signed a contract on May 27, having been told that the install would be in August, and that, only if Octopus installed the solar panels, could I enjoy their Flux tariff. The DNO was applied for on 02/06. After the 45 days it can take, I tried to get in contact to find out progress. 5 emails and 6 phone calls later (5 of which I hung up on after waiting in excess of 20 mins.) Eventually someone got back to me. I was told the DNO was still in progress, but they would book an install date anyway - 23 November! I decided to ring National Grid to see what the problem was. The DNO was sent in on 02/06 - it was sent back on 09/06 as corrupted. Once received, the grid sent a request for more info on 17/06, but no one replied, so the application was cancelled. A new application was sent in on 30/07, just after my queries! Unfortunately, it was filled out wrong. I am not sure where it is now. I have no faith in this side of the company fulfilling its contract in a timely and professional manner. So now I just want my deposit back and compensation for time wasted. I still await an outcome, despite being promised one within a week! Such a shame, as other than this department, I have had great experiences with Octopus

Octopus are our electricity (and gas) supplier so I had no obvious reason to not use them when I decided to have solar panels. The whole exercise was carried out in a professional, although rather arms length, way until the time of the actual installation. I have nothing but praise for the actual installers - sub-contractors of NextGen I believe - and the scaffolding firm Sovereign and last but not least Natasha from Octopus. I look forward to selling my spare power to the Grid in the near future!

I ordered my EV charger through Octopus on Tuesday and within a week it was installed. The entire process was so simple and the service from Octopus and the installer was beyond impressive. Highly Recommend.

We recently had a heat pump installed by Octopus and the whole process was extremely well managed. There were a couple of things that made our install more complicated but they were great at working through the issues with us and we have ended with a great system that was great value.

I had an Octopus Daiken9 heat pump installed about 2 years ago in our 4 bedroom detached 1980s house, and I am very pleased. We use about 6200kw electricity a year and we decided on solar panels and a battery. We had a 10kw Fox battery, 12 panels (4S facing 8N) installed over 2 days. Because octopus fitted our heat pump we got 10% discount plus access to intelligent flux tariff. It cost about £10k. We obtained a number of quotes and probably could have got it a bit cheaper but prefer the integration and support Octopus offers. They arranged the scaffolding. The work was carried out efficiently and in the current hot sunny weather we are producing all our electricity. In the winter we will fill the battery with the cheap flux rate and use it at peak times.

Installation occurred over 4 days. The team did an expert job and kept us informed over the entire period. All work was carried out cleanly and tidily. We are very pleased with the result.

I recently had a cosy 9 heat pump installed by Octopus Energy. Following months of research, I decided to go with Octopus to carry out the install because they are a large firm with thousands of installs under their belt, and the guarantees that they will be there if things go wrong. The installers Liam Harry and Electician Adam were brilliant and their workmanship is second to none. The install is very neat and upmost care was taken during the installation to ensure it was done to the highest standard. The heatpump works perfectly, hot water every day and very very silent. I cant hear it working when heating the hot water and that is supposed to be the time when its loudest due to having to work hard to heat the water. Well done to Octopus Energy for providing such a pleasant experience during my transition from gas boiler to Air Source Heat Pump. I will definitely recommend Octopus Energy Services for heat pump and other services.

I had an Ohme Home Pro EV charger fitted. All work was completed to time and to budget. Damian, who fitted the charger, was friendly, helpful, gave clear instructions for using the charger and the Ohme app.

Arrived as announced. Tested everything electrical; installed EV charger; polite & professional throughout.

In February 2026 we were staying with our son and family in Dubai when the Iranian attacks began and although we were able to get home on schedule I began to imagine a sustained period of shortages of fossil fuels particularly domestic gas and petrol. On returning home I started to research installation of solar panels and a battery and with excellent service from the Octopus team a plan was drawn up for a 16 panel system with battery. We elected to have the more expensive Tesla Powerwall battery which means that in the event of power cuts we will be able to switch to battery power. Plans were drawn up remotely and installation was scheduled for late July and in just 3 days the system was up and running. The service from Octopus has been excellent through out. After initially turning down the option of free home charger with leased ev, I changed my mind 4 wks later. This was no problem after emailing customer services to let them know. There was an unfortunate situation whereby my installer for my EV charger was unwell and Octopus had to delay the installation. This would have been unacceptable as my new electric vehicle was being delivered the following day. Due to my job and shifts it would have been very challenging for me to charge at a public charging station. Octopus sorted it out and were able to find another installer that could come at short notice. The installer Simon came the next day and did a brilliant job. Fantastic service

The normal great service from the installation team. There is still a bit of a mismatch between sales and the support you get handed off to, but you just have to keep calling and emailing, and they will answer. This installation, like the rest of my projects, went really well. Originally ordered my EV charger through British Gas then changed to Octopus. Glad I changed as the charger was installed over two weeks earlier and when it arrived was seamless in the whole process including the technician Richard who worked efficiently, quick and tidy, also very knowledgeable he made the whole process a pleasure, thank you very much Octopus.

Our experience with Octopus Energy Services should be a warning to anyone considering them. We waited 18 months for an installation. Our panels and battery were left outside and then stored in our garage for around ten months. We were told the panels were out of date and would be replaced — they weren’t. The same panels were installed and presented as new. The battery sat idle on the wall for ten months, losing warranty time before it was ever switched on. The installation was done without a signed agreement. The system was changed from 14 to 12 panels without approval. The revised price was only sent *after* installation, and we were told to pay a figure we never agreed to. Octopus also used “this is our best and final offer” language while holding us to a price we never approved, after installing equipment without a signed contract and changing the system size without consultation. Vulnerable customers could easily feel pressured into accepting terms they never agreed to. Communication was consistently poor, with long gaps, unclear answers, and constant chasing. The “compensation” offered was simply deducted from the price instead of addressing the delays, mishandling of equipment, and the stress caused. This experience should act as a siren. We strongly advise avoiding Octopus Energy Services.

We decided to have solar panels installed on our roof. As we were already a Octopus customer, we went with them. From start to finish, we could not have been happier. The work was done on time in an efficient manner. Everyone we had dealings with at Octopus was helpful; although we may have ask what may seem like a dumb question they were respectful and polite. We would definitely recommend Octopus for any work in this area.

After getting several quotes for my system, Octopus came out the cheapest. Communication was good, but some of their subcontractors dropped the ball, and failed to communicate with them, that made the process longer. In the end it all came together, the install went smoothly, and professionally. I’m really happy with my system, its performance, and Octopus as a whole.

Two parts to the review. Installation and communication before and after the installation team fantastic 10/10. Had s issue with a claimback process for a £750 discount scheme from Tesla that turned out bad. Octupus official complaints process wad very poor and still have not replied to my correspondence. On the other hand the Octopus installation team did get back to me and resolved the issue fantastically. Conclusion great service c let down by poor after sales complaints process not communicating with customer. The instalation arm 10/10 they resolved my issue.

This review is for fitting our air to water heat pump, including upgrading 9 radiators. The initial survey was very thorough, with detailed explanations where appropriate, to the point where we made our decision to proceed. The installation was seamless, with the equipment arriving shortly after the installation team lead arrived. He and his team, who were friendly and efficient,undertook first class work, with all pipework being copper with soldered connections. They completed on time, leaving our home clean and tidy considering the scale of work. The handover was thorough, including helping us to set up the app necessary to control the system. The waste materials were collected several days later. All in all, we were extremely satisfied with our Octopus installation.

I was exceptionally pleased with the two technicians who installed our new Octopus Charge EV charger. They were very professional, friendly, and took on board my two suggestions/options for discreetly running the cable across the front of my house - so as to be a neat/clean install where the wires were hidden from view - where possible. The end result was an amazing job - which I was incredibly pleased with! The cable can hardly be seen at the front of the house, and the charger was also able to be located exactly where I had wanted it positioned. Special mention/commendation should go to the two Octopus technicians who did a first class job.

The person installing the EV charging point was incredibly fast, knowledgeable and experienced. He worked very quickly and the whole installation didn’t change much my day.

Wanted to have an EV charger fitted at my property and having done some research found that my existing energy supplier (Octopus) was a good option. This, coupled with the excellent service I have enjoyed since switching to them a couple of years ago, meant that I could anticipate that the job would lead to my approval. I have to say that Octopus exceeded my expectations. The whole process from the choice of charger to the fitting (all done in less than a week) was easy, quick and extremely professional The fitter arrived at the prearranged time, worked very quickly and did an excellent job, even fitting an additional upgrade to my meter, which wasn't part of his remit, but which will save the inconvenience of a second visit. Extremely pleasant and courteous and a very tidy worker. I would also mention that Octopus are first rate on communications, in my experience. I received emails every step of the way for this job but more generally their contacts are helpful and responses fast. I message them and they reply very quickly. He then talked me through every step of the installation and my options with placement of the charging point. He was more than happy to help with any request I made in this process. He explained he would need to turn off the power at some point but gave me plenty of notice. Once the installation was complete he talked me through everything I needed to do to connect with the app and was very patient as I wasn’t really understanding it. He explained it very well and I now feel confident using the app. I also want to comment on how tidy he left everything, it was as if he was never there! Living in a new build, and having had multiple interactions with trades personal due to snagging I can confidently say he’s the neatest trades person we’ve had visit the house. About four months ago I decided to replace our ageing 30-year-old boiler with an air source heat pump. To cover the extra electricity usage I also installed solar panels and a battery system. Octopus Energy were fantastic. After a phone consultation and planning, a surveyor visited our property. Once everything was agreed I eagerly awaited the installation date. Surprisingly, both the solar and battery installations were scheduled for the same week, resulting in a busy period both inside and out. However, every delivery and trade arrived punctually. The Octopus installers were incredibly helpful, polite and informative throughout the week. The organisation and installation far exceeded my expectations.

We got a free Ohme EV charger when we bought a car. Communication with Octopus was excellent from the beginning. A lady called Hannah was my main contact who communicated at every stage. I also had a video call with an Engineer, Shane, who was very thorough. The installation of the charger was excellent. Eddy, our installer, worked really hard to make sure the installation was exactly how we wanted it. He has made a difficult route for the cabling look really tidy.

A number of tasks all came together to provide a smooth install. From initial inquiry through to placing the order, the site survey, and then the actual installation. Scaffolding set up in 1/2 day; all components and engineers arriving by 8:30 on the date specified and completing all tasks by lunchtime on the 2nd day. Explanations for everything I asked about and an installation that is tidy and fully functioning. All waste cleared within 2 days.

This is my first experience of an EV vehicle and the installation of a charger. I decided very early that I would attempt to purchase a charger from my energy supplier and that it would be their own product to reduce those gaps you create between contractors. I am well pleased with the workmanship of the installer . There was a hiccup in the initial installation date but that was because the demand for EVs has exploded. I also have to say that I had an initial issue with the charger as soon as the installer had left. That was down to my ignorance but I was really surprised at the expertise and support I got when I rang the octopus energy team.

Great Sales team, perfect planning and fast, professional installation including an explanation of how the system worked. After sale support not brilliant (I felt I was communicating with Bots), and no simple to understand user manual. Just a huge 84 page handover document to download. What do I do if I lose power? Or a panel is cracked by a falling branch. What are the effects of snow and ice? So many questions that would be simple to check - especially if the loss of power meant you couldn't use your computer! Despite this I would recommend Octopus and can only hope they listen.

Very efficient, helpful and good tempered, having to work in the insulated loft for hours during the heatwave!! They were all really hard working despite the problems and heat. A very difficult time for them.

Overall, I’m very satisfied with the EV charger and the service provided by Octopus. The charger is excellent, easy to use, and very convenient for everyday charging. The only downside was the installation process. I had to wait almost two months for the installation, and my appointment was cancelled twice at the last minute, which was quite frustrating. However, Octopus provided compensation for the inconvenience, which I appreciated. Despite the delays, the final installation was completed well, and the product has been worth the wait. I would recommend Octopus for the quality of the charger and the overall experience, but I hope they improve their installation scheduling and reduce last-minute cancellations.

Apart from the lead time from purchase to installation (nearly 6 weeks due to demand) I am happy with the service, workmanship, tariff and finally able to charge from home.

Initial call with a sales rep was able to decide where best to put panels and what cost and payment period was likely to be. Able to answer all our questions. When we decided to go ahead options and cost were clear. We paid a £500 deposit in late Feb and were told fitting was likely to be late May. However we were given a late June date for installation, and then was delayed until early July as the temperature was too hot outside for the roofers to work. So the over 4 month wait I would say has been the only negative part of the experience. We did not have to pay balance until after completion. Installers (roofers and electrician) were professional, polite & helpful. They explained everything clearly. We got all the paperwork through eg warantees & electrical safety certificate soon after installation completed. The app that goes with the solar & battery is useful and user friendly. Everything seems to work well. Only time will tell if pay back period is similar to prediction!

The process of ordering was very simple, but the initial estimate for fitting was quite long. However, they called me and said that they could fit me in earlier so all was good! The installer was great, friendly, helpful and informative. All in all a good experience.

Dave, our Octopus EV installer did a difficult job expertly and efficiently. Despite extreme heat and cramped working space he was good humoured throughout. He was particularly helpful in diagnosing issues with the 'smart' meter and with his help I won a battle to death with the Octopus App! Value does not really apply since the installation of the EV charger was a freebie for Ford.

From the very start the communication was excellent, keeping me informed of the process and what to do at each stage. There was no pressure selling. The dates for the various stages were mapped out and the permissions from the national grid obtained and insurance for deposit and installation arranged through HIES. The installation went smoothly and very professionally carried out followed by help to install the Tesla App and guidance on how to use it. The batteries are working as expected and I am very satisfied.

The installation was longer than the 4-6 weeks stated but we got there in the end. The installation team were very helpful and did a great job fitting in with my requests. The external consumer unit was placed where I wanted it, out of sight, not where it usually goes nearer the meter. Both Steve’s were friendly and explained what would happen. A tidy job that works well.

We bought a ford gen e puma and within the package it included a Ohme ev charger fitting. Octopus have been amazing since I first rang them at the beginning of the year. Our car was expected april, then may, then finally received it mid June. Thomas at Octopus guided me through the procedure, we had surveys done and NPG came out to up the wattage into our electricity box to accommodate the ev charger being fitted. I was able to call or email Thomas directly keeping him up to date with the due date of the car being delivered. When we collected the car our ev charger had not been fitted but I was given credit onto our account to use at a local charger so was free of charge. There was a issue with our electricity box being too small to accommodate the isolator but in less than 24hrs we had a engineer here to do all the work. Nathan was amazing and was a clean install. Overall Octopus have been amazing and when there was a issue it was soon dealt with, within a timely manner. I would highly recommend the whole team and rate them 5*.

For some years now, i've heard about Octopus's reputation for excellent customer services. Now, I'm not one to burst out the starting block to sing praises. Some Octopus employees deserve my appreciation. In particular, today's installer arrived to fit an untethered EV charger - An easy install. Well, it turned out to be more complicated. After an unscheduled installation of 2 smart meters, and the removal of some redundant gas pipes, John was then able to carry out the EV installation. I cannot commend this man enough for his professionalism, detailed workmanship, being conscious of aesthetics, and his tidiness throughout the day. From start to finish, Octopus have delivered a product by a team that is committed to achieving the best standards - They have.

Was a pleasure to have him at our property carrying out the work thank you very much. Would definitely be looking to get more octopus products installed going forward.

The work being undertaken was the installation of an intelligent EV charger for our fully electric car. The technician called in advance and arrived on time. The job was completed in the estimated window and to our complete satisfaction. Our property was left clean and tidy. Following the installation, the electricity supply was thoroughly tested to ensure that the vehicle could be charged without comprising any other service. The handover to us was clear and comprehensive; we have used the charger with no problems. It is also worth noting that the background team kept us fully informed of the progress of our order.

The engineers from octopus are always top quality and very knowledgeable and take great care of your property. I really appreciate their scheduling team and how professional everything is handled with them. Will recommend.

Sam who fitted my EV charger was fantastic, very hard working, clean and tidy. Explained exactly what she was doing and why. Explained the aftercare in detail. Very competent, called the day before to arrange a time. Very friendly and cracked on for hours. I was very happy with the work carried out.

The fitting was done to a very high standard by a very capable person who obviously knew her stuff. I have nothing but praise for the work and would have no hesitation in recommending them. its quite a complex job and was done in a calm and efficient manner. well done.

Aiden arrived on time, was very polite and informative, he installed the charger with very little disruption, he explained the system and showed us how to down load the App and use it, we had our car on charge in less than 2 hours, Aiden left our property clean and tidy, very impressed with the installer and Octopus Energys communication throughout the process.

The installation was a dream, the engineer who came out was a credit to the company he was hard working, pleasant and patient he explained everything to me and was a throughly nice guy, he did an excellent job. Was impressed with the communication and the price and it was works a treat

Octopus Energy were professional from start to finish. Scaffolding, equipment delivery, installation and even the collection of packaging was well organised and on-time. All staff that came to site were friendly, courteous and competent and happy to explain what they were doing. They also asked my opinion on location of wall mounted equipment which I appreciated. I chose Octopus because they use their own staff for the installation and they certainly delivered!

We chose Octopus for our product as everything was explained very clearly to us, staff were extremely efficient in everyway, they were professional in their approach, they answered all our questions clearly and in a way we understood, they were warm & welcoming, nothing was a problem, they always got back to us with anything they said they would do. They explained all the ins and outs of the products, the costs, detailed clearly how things worked, the communication was second to none, the paper information given was clear and useful to go back to if needed later. We contacted them on only one occasion with a question, the waiting time on the phone was minimal and you actually were able to speak to a real person who actually was able to answer your enquiry. It is early days for us with regard to how the actual product works but so far everything has been what you should expect from any company selling you any product these days! Would definitely use them again

We have just ordered our new all electric vehicle and had an offer from octopus for the EV charger. We are already an Octopus customer and have used them for nearly 4 years since we got our solar panels installed. Their service is excellent and you can talk to a person very quickly. I called and chatted to them about what I needed and they guided me through the process. We had to wait 4 weeks for the charger but everything went very smoothly. The engineer was excellent and did a great job making sure the cables were as invisible as possible. He also gave us great advice and guidance. Just waiting for our new can and then we are good to go!

The process to produce the configuration for our Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) was straightforward and well managed by Octopus. The survey included a detailed assessment of existing pipework and radiators with the quirks of a 1920s house well considered together with siting plant and equipment. The requirements for structural requirements presented significant issues, but were resolved. Communication was clear and efficient. The installation team were very professional, technically skilled and considerate. They worked exceptionally hard in confined spaces in very taxing weather conditions. The system was completed and commissioning on-time with comprehensive on-site the handover. Overall, a very positive experience despite the disruption required with a programme of this scale.
