The first thing to say about using Chris and his team is that they are exceptional! The quality of the work and the finish is first class. But the way they communicate, talk and show you through every aspect of the job, listen to your needs is very different from any other builders. Chris's knowledge is brilliant and his attitude to issues that arise during the build leave you reassured and confident that you are getting the best service. It feels like his team are putting in the same effort they would on their own home. They are honest, reliable, approachable, extremely considerate and here is the ringing endorsement - we were sorry when they left!!! What other builder can you say that about - ever? I was standing next to a very experienced building inspector who came to do a site visit for the steels and he said to me "Look at that workmanship, that has to fill you with confidence, it does me." You wont be disappointed if you use Chris for an any aspect of a build and he will exceed your expectations.

My wife and I had talked about having a ground floor extension built onto the back of our house for a number of years. To be honest we were both a bit nervous about doing so! Enter Oxon Ltd: Chris, Ricky and Liam. What a great team. They talked us through the build, making recommendations along the way that significantly improved on the architects design. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and their attention to detail was second to none. If we want more work done on the house, Oxon Ltd would be our first choice of tradesmen. We cannot recommend them highly enough; we are absolutely delighted with our new kitchen/dinner.

Chris and his team were tasked with building a 2 storey extension on the side of our house. He initially came into difficulties with the drainage but worked through the problem excellently. The build was completed to an exceptional standard and has always been on hand to ask questions and resolve teething issues since. I can’t recommend him and his team enough.

I selected Oxon Ltd to cut a new opening and fit an access door to the side of my garage. I have to say that it was an absolute pleasure to deal with Chris and his team from start to finish. They were informative, punctual, concise, efficient, take pride in their work and are altogether good guys. The materials supplied and workmanship is of excellent quality and the finished job looks much better than I originally thought it would. This is my first experience of having this sort of work carried out on my property and I would have no hesitations using Chris and his team in the future. Thoroughly recommended!

Chris and his crew were very professional and turned around a project that a previous builder had made a right pickle of. We received very clear advice, and Chris gave excellent attention to detail. It was a challenge for the team to know what they would find when they started, but they were flexible and kept up the pace despite the obstacles that beset them! The whole team was friendly and nice to have around - good with pets and kids! It has all turned out very well.

Super professional and friendly team. Great communication leading up to the work and gave terrific advice before and during the job. Not phased by a number of challenges we threw at them and helped to keep costs down where appropriate. Excellent attention to detail, including keeping the site clean. Turned up when they said they would and completed within quoted time.

Chris and his team are knowledgeable, friendly, professional, have an amazing attention to detail and take huge pride in their work. They updated our downstairs cloakroom and knocked through a wall to make the en-suite bigger. Chris guided us through any queries with his knowledge and his team were a pleasure to have around while the work was completed.

Chris and the team changed our flat roof and added a skylight for us. Chris visited us before the work started to talk us through it and the team were brilliant at talking us through each step as the work progressed. Even when something didn't go to plan (particularly the weather!), they remained positive and upbeat. They also ensured we were safe whilst the roof was exposed. They also provide supporting information on various other things around the house (when we chose to pick their brains!). Time frame and costs were as expected, are always great. They were very clean and tidy, even insisting on cleaning when I offered to tidy after them in 32C heat. The finished (plastered walls and roof and rubber roof/skylight) is superb. I would recommend Chris and the team to anyone having building work.

Chris listened to my needs regarding refitting a bathroom and put together a proposal that matched all my requirements. He ensured all the fittings were specified correctly to ensure we were both on the same wavelength. Ricky did an excellent job fitting the bath, sinks and loo together with tiling. He worked very efficiently with their electrical contractor. I was pleased that this job received 100% effort and I never felt that we were being slotted in amongst other projects. All communications were efficient and timely sorting out any minor issues that needed resolving along the way. They were very helpful sorting out another separate plumbing issue that arose in the house whilst on the project. There was a small increase to the budget but this was highlighted when the electricians found they had to do some extra work. I would definitely recommend Oxon Ltd.

My wife and I are very pleased to provide this reference for Chris and his team at Oxon Builders. I first met Chris Smith in September 2020. At the time we were dealing with a firm more focused on their processes than our needs. Our feelings about our renovation were at a low point. Chris changed that. He listened to our concerns. I say our concerns, because unlike so many others in the building profession Chris addressed my wife and I equally (instinctively, he recognised that my wife had concerns and reservations that needed to be addressed). He made us see that there was a different way of approaching the renovation. He connected us with a similarly minded architect and made some valuable practical suggestions. The work his team have done so far (fixing roofing leaks and tiling around a fireplace) has been excellent. The three different team members have been clear and straightforward with me and my wife. They worked efficiently and to a very high standard. They were pleasant. Invoicing was straightforward, very reasonable and consistent with existing estimates. Oxon Ltd replaced the bathroom, stairs and doors in my new house, replastered the kitchen ceiling, widened the doorframe to the kitchen, and removed the old fire place (as well as a few extra little jobs). I couldn't be happier with the result: it looks fantastic and exceeded my expectations. Chris, Ricky and Colin kept me informed at every step and were a pleasure to have around. They were friendly and helpful. The house was left tidy and organised every evening. The work was finished on time and the final invoice matched the quote. Honestly I couldn't be more pleased and would recommend Chris and his colleagues to anyone!

Chris and Scott at Oxon Ltd refurbished our kitchen and utility recently. High quality work and great attention to detail. From our first meeting with Chris we knew that he would be the one to entrust with the complete refurbishment of our house. Chris has a busy schedule and although we were keen to get the work done we chose to wait until he could fit us in. We are so glad we did. He arrived on the due date and completed the work within the predicted time frame. We have nothing but praise for Chris, Scot and all their associates who all have a great work ethic and commitment. They have great foresight and their expertise, advice, ideas and guidance was invaluable and much appreciated. From start to completion of work they showed great care and attention to detail always being respectful and mindful of our budget. We feel they worked to a standard as if dealing with their own home. To note some but not all of the extensive work carried out - complete rewire, new plumbing/boiler/central heating, new windows, new bathroom, new kitchen, garage conversion, new doors throughout.... To summarise, this company is trustworthy, true to their word and reliable. They are worth waiting for.

We were really pleased we used Chris and Scott at Oxon Ltd for our kitchen renovations. They were a pleasure to have in the house, always kept us up to date on the key decisions and were happy to discuss our options at each stage. Chris and his guys refitted a basin unit into our cloakroom. They were probably the best tradesmen we've ever had working on our home. They were punctual, courteous and a joy to have around. The job was completed within the timescale provided and the cost was as quoted with no hidden extras or surprises. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chris and his team. The only downside is that they are so good they are going to be extremely busy and booked up but definitely worth waiting for.

Mission impossible? Not for Chris and his team! The project was to replace an existing kitchen sink (which had been installed incorrectly a few years ago), fit new taps and install a water purifier. We were worried that we might have to replace the complete work surface, but Scott and James managed to remove the old sink with no damage whatsoever. They proceeded to complete the work to a wonderful standard. They worked well together, and were friendly, and a pleasure to have in our home. We are really thrilled with the work, and wish we had found Oxon Ltd much earlier! We would thoroughly recommend this company.

Chris and his team did a totally amazing job of my kitchen - which included ripping out the existing one, knocking out a wall, plastering, painting, laying new floor and skirting, and fitting the new kitchen inc appliances and all the associated plumbing and electric work. We are absolutely delighted with the end result, and throughout the team were hard-working and professional, and also excellent on the communication side. It always felt that it was in safe hands and that they cared about our kitchen and us being happy with it. They went the extra mile time and time again. We feel really lucky that we found them as it was such a good experience and our kitchen is perfect. They were also very polite and respectful of our home, and very sweet with our toddler, who was desperate to help them! The work was scheduled to take three weeks and they finished a day early and were on budget. Highly highly highly recommend, can't praise them enough.

Excellent service- Leigh responded the same day to a call about broken heating just before Xmas, Got the heating going and returned to complete full repair. Cannot fault- friendly, professional, helpful. Will definitely use again, and recommend.

Leigh responded quickly to my call and came round the same day. He was able to complete the job quickly and to a very high standard, double checking all was well before he left. He is reliable, friendly and professional. We finally have a woodfired boiler and radiators that work! It's a relief to know there is someone reliable to call when needed. I would recommend this company 100%.

Great job for us. At our property for nearly two months. Building, plumbing, wiring, plastering, carpentry all fabulous. Results beyond brilliant as they can also design. Very good at understanding what is wanted. Great to have around. Cannot recommend highly enough in every respect.

We had our kitchen and bathroom installed by these guys. They did a magnificent job. They were pleasant and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I never write reviews but after having work done by Spencer's plumbing I felt the need to let others know that these guys are superb. I had my whole central heating changed and upgraded to a pressurised system, I also had a new bathroom and en-suite installed. Lee and his team did an amazing job, their work ethic and attention to detail is faultless and that's saying something because I'm rather picky. I often find myself just standing in my bathroom admiring it. They helped with new ideas and gave inspirational tips that made the whole process easy when making my final decisions. The central heating system works a dream, so quiet compared to my old one. As for my bathroom and en-suite, this team definitely have pride in their job, with excellent workmanship the quality is outstanding. These guys are a great bunch, courteous and kind, clean and tidy. What more can I say than if you want a great job and piece of mind look no further than Spencer's plumbing. Thanks again guys.

Leigh and Chris have recently installed a new boiler and pressurised water system for us. We are very pleased with the results. The work was carried out with professionalism, they were pleasant to have around the house, protected areas as best as they could from dirt and dust and cleaned up properly afterwards. I have no hesitation in recommending them-and have already requested they undertake to refurbish the bathroom.

Leigh repaired my boiler earlier in the year and it has run smoothly ever since. He has just carried out an annual boiler service and again he was punctual, professional, knowledgeable, thorough and pleasant. I would have no hesitation in using him and recommending him for all the services he lists.

Leigh installed a new boiler for us. He was efficient, thorough and did a great job. He didn't complain when we realised the boiler needed moving slightly to accommodate our new kitchen and just got on with the job. We would highly recommend him.
