I (Peter Whiting) began working as an electrical apprentice in 1983, this was a full 5 year apprenticeship. On finishing my apprenticeship I set up my own business as a sole trader in 1988. The limited business began trading in June 2002.
The business is family run and some of the electrical services we offer are shown in the details below.
You will see I have many reviews showing despite only being endorsed as a Which? Trusted Trader from April 2018. The reviews I have from before this time are from Which? Peter was helpful in recommending the correct lighting for our bathroom and contacted us as soon as he had obtained the necessary LED fittings. He was punctual and worked efficiently in a restricted loft space. Everything was left clean and tidy. The work was completed to the agreed budget and provided good value for money. I looked for local electricians in Bromley in Which? and found Peter. He was very easy to communicate with to arrange an appointment for an estimate. He was punctual, friendly and professional. Peter sorted out the external socket and floodlight and also replaced a RCD unit he found to be faulty while checking the electricity in the flat. His charges were as estimated and very fair. I highly recommend him.

Peter spent the whole day here and accomplished all that he set out to do. Instead of a wired fuse box I now have a modern circuit board. He also did a couple of other minor repairs. He had to take out at least 4 old fuse boards in metal cabinets, from the the seventies when the house had one bedroom lets. He worked calmly and efficiently and we felt comfortable to leave him in the house alone whilst we walked our dog morning and afternoon. He cleared up after himself too, which was much appreciated. He also took the time to explain exactly what he was doing and why. Which as a pensioner I found very useful. I would highly recommend Peter as an excellent electrician. I was very glad to have found him on the Which trusted traders list

Peter came around to help with an electrical issue in the flat caused by rats (not a pleasant job to help with!) He came within 24 hrs of being contacted, immediately sorted the problem and then helped with a smaller light installation job to make use of the full hour I had paid him for. Great communication throughout dealing with him, transparent and upfront regarding costs and a thoroughly nice man to boot. Will definitely be going to Peter for any electrical services in the future.

Peter efficiently replaced a faulty dimmer switch for us, making sure in advance that he ascertained the correct parts to bring. I had contacted Peter on a previous occasion. He came out very quickly, solved one of the problems immediately, rectified a fault that was found, but needed to come back to fully fix the problem. This was done, plus another small job and I am very pleased with the result. We have used Peter Whiting to do a number of small electrical jobs in our house (e.g. fixing switches/plugs, replacing ceiling-mounted lights, etc.) and he has done all these to the highest quality standards and in a relatively short time period.
