Marco, who initially installed my combi-boiler, has carried out its annual service. He was prompt, efficient, polite, and gave helpful explanations to a couple of my questions. And left no mess. This was done to agreed budget. Communication with this company has always been quick and helpful.

Everything you would expect from a 5 star company, consistent with other reviews here. I asked 2 other companies to quote for the work. Plumbbob's approach stood out on 3 counts. First, they noticed the boiler was too small to support the number of radiators in the house, so they installed a larger one. Neither of the other companies picked up on that. Second, I wanted to keep my airing cupboard; Plumbbob were prepared to accept that + work with it. The others simply said it wasn't possible/that this type of heating system was outdated. Third, my original plan was extremely costly; Plumbbob looked at it & suggested modifications, which I accepted. The result has been a much warmer house at a fraction of the cost I envisaged. Obviously, the work is guaranteed, but beyond that I shall have recourse to a first-rate company on which I can depend for both routine maintenance + emergencies. This frees me from reliance on homeware companies who claim to provide a similar wraparound service but, in my experience, are expensive & all too often fail to deliver.

Plumbbob took out our old, traditional system and installed a new combi boiler. From start to finish, the whole organisation was very professional: e-mails were answered immediately; Jon was patient, thoughtful, and expert in assessing our needs; we got an installation date quickly; the team showed up as scheduled, worked quickly and efficiently, and completed the job on time; the new system works perfectly. I would like to make an addition to the many positive reviews of Plumbob. Two weeks ago Jon and Preston installed a new boiler for us. They were efficient and professional in every aspect of their work and gave us lots of friendly and informative advice. When a manufacturing fault was discovered in the hot water supply system, they returned immediately when contacted and advised us on how to get it fixed. We are very happy now with the the new boiler. What is even more impressive is that Jon actually repaired our previous elderly boiler when it failed just before last Christmas. He sorted it out in a couple of hours (after another company had spent 2 days trying...and failing...to make it function). The old boiler continued to work for 10 months thereafter. Jon is an engineer of great experience and skill. I would recommend Plumbob to anyone.

Plumbbob has done a number of jobs for us, the major job was installing a replacement boiler. They did a fantastic job for us and would highly recommend Marco, Lesley and the team.

I have rung Jon several times in the past in an emergency situation and he has always come out within a couple of hours. This time he suggested changing the boiler completely which meant taking out 2 water tanks and pumps and installing a new system. The team worked quickly and well and I'm very happy with the new system and water pressure. I would highly recommend Plumbbob and will continue to use them in the future although I hope the Christmas and Easter emergencies will stop now !!

We have used Jon and the team at Plumbob for a boiler replacement, servicing and, most recently to repair a radiator. They are extremely professional, friendly and reliable and their fees are very competitive. I cannot recommend them highly enough for the quality of their work.

They answered Emails on the same day. They came quickly and when they said they would, and provided an estimate (for a new boiler) within the day. The boiler was fitted within four days. The fitter came on time and worked hard all day checking always that the appearance was how I wanted it and replaced extra parts of the system as needed. They adapted the new boiler to work on the fitted programmer so that I would find it easy to work. They explained carefully the boiler and left full paper-work . They cleared up afterwards and left the place tidier than it was when they arrived. I cannot think how they could have improved.

Jon replaced my boiler a few years ago and more recently replaced my kitchen tap, Jon remains one of the most courteous and helpful tradesperson I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with, absolutely amazing service, reliable, tidy and reasonably priced and would and will recommend to anyone.

Marco from Plumbob was efficient courteous and undertook the repairs to taps and toilet we requested very capably and knowledgeably. He kept us informed of appointments and returned to complete the work in good time when difficulties with a tap cartridge delayed completion.

My boiler was very old and failing - I put off getting a replacement fearing the upheaval and work involved. As soon as I met the Plumbbob team it became clear that they cared about their work and their customers. New boiler fitted, and also sorted a problem with my immersion and my shower. Jon was very straightforward and clear in his assessment of our aged central heating system and how to refurbish it within our budget. He and his colleagues did a very professional job of replacing the boiler and other parts of the system that had failed. He was obviously a good problem solver, and very quick to come back and sort out a couple of teething problems. I highly recommend him.

My downstairs toilet wouldn’t flush anymore and started leaking. It needed to be replaced and Plumbbob did an excellent job, being friendly, on time, tidy and efficient and on budget. Nice new toilet and a dry floor! Highly recommended. Also very good at boiler servicing.

Our boiler chose the Easter Bank Holiday weekend to go on the blink. We had a houseful and no hot water or central heating. Not a good situation. I rang several plumbers: Jon and Lesley at Plumbbob were instantly practical and helpful. Within a couple of hours Jon came round and showed us clearly and without jargon or pressuring that a new boiler was needed. He got on the phone to suppliers and managed to find the single available boiler in stock that would serve. He also got our immersion heater working again, so we had some hot water to tide us over. Then he committed his Easter Monday to get the new boiler installed. On installation day he turned up on time, did the job on time, fixed a couple of other problems along the way, took care to explain what he was doing, got all the warranty paperwork signed and the new boiler registered, then tidied up impeccably. Our central heating and hot water were back up and running and our family Bank Holiday could resume. I have rarely had such excellent and professional service from a plumber. Very competitively priced too - I paid a fair price (rather than the it's an emergency rates one can be quoted) and consider the whole job excellent value for high quality. Highly recommended.

Plumbbob attended to an urgent call with speed. He saw immediately what the problem was and dealt with it most efficiently. Most impressive and a real saviour in our case.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Plumbbob for gas boiler replacement. Immediate and helpful response to my initial enquiry. Jon and Lesley answered all my questions. Marco who fitted the boiler was punctual, polite, friendly, efficient, and tidy. Jon checked in at the end of the day, signed off the work, and set the timer etc for me. I'm not digital savvy, so Jon called in again at my request to help me with a couple of things I didn't understand. Which I now do. Outstanding ongoing communication and after-care, which is comforting to know. All was completed to the agreed schedule and budget. The boiler recommended is working perfectly, and is much more efficient than the one replaced. I'm very satisfied.

The work was excellent and Plumbbob went above and beyond at every time to resolve problems, answer queries and give support. They are focused on giving the best advice for you and give you honest and trust-worthy recommendations. Their service is excellent and their work faultless. Lucy arrived exactly on time and carried out the service very efficiently. It was long overdue, and she explained some of the features that confirmed the diagnosis. I was shown where to check for the pressure reading and how to top up if necessary. I would certainly use PlumbBob again.

When we suddenly found ourselves without heating on one of the first cold nights of the year I was very concerned. I got some recommendations of good plumbers/heat engineers from my colleagues, and Plumbbob was the first one I called. No more than six hours after the first contact had they come out, identified the problem and fixed it. I could not have been any happier with the service.

Jon and his son performed the boiler service quickly and efficiently. They encountered a problem removing one of the old basin taps that was awkwardly located and "frozen" in place. A solution was quickly found by cutting the problem tap out, and the job completed to my entire satisfaction. Jon spotted a chronic problem while he was working on a neighbour's house, approached me to suggest an effective remedy and did the work the following morning, a Saturday, on time and efficiently. Good advice, good work.

Lesley reconfigured the gas pipe to our cooker hob so that our new oven could be fitted. It was quickly and neatly done, with minimum fuss and hassle, and with beautiful pipework.

Lesley was very helpful and efficient. She came to fix a leak in my outside tap and to fix my cold water mixer tap in the kitchen. She couldn't fix the outside tap because it would mean turning off the mains water for the whole mobile park. And I had to order a new mixer tap for the kitchen. So she did bleed all my radiators and fill my boiler, teaching me how to do it. The next day Lesley arrived with a young lad to help her. I'd asked her to cap the outside tap, which she did and also fitted the new mixer tap. All work was done extremely well and efficiently. I shall certainly use Plumbbob again.

My 17-year old gas boiler failed. Plumbbob discussed a suitable replacement with me, ordered it and fitted it within very few days. The fitting team were were highly co-operative, and a pleasure to have in the house

I supplied a new replacement tap which Jon replaced quickly, tidily and at short notice. Not quite an emergency job but I am grateful that it was done so promptly. Will certainly use again.

I couldn't have done better than go to Plumbbob. The service was exceptional, from initial contact - an appointment was offered immediately - through to the final invoice, which was itemised and very clear. A highly experienced plumber, Jon was able to diagnose the problem quickly and source the replacement parts from his stock. As well as having the necessary practical know-how, he was very patient in explaining the issue to a non-expert customer. I don't expect to have to replace my boiler for another five years or so, but I have decided I would like Plumbbob to install the next one already.

I have only praise for Jon and the Plumbbob team as my boiler broke down Christmas week. They went above and beyond to fix it . In the end a new boiler was needed and they were speedy at getting it all sorted. The team is professional friendly and know their stuff! Plus even my dog adored them!

I contacted Plumbbob after they were recommended by Worcester Bosch to fit my new boiler. The team arrived on time, and consisted of 4 persons and I was delighted to find 2 female engineers. The house was built in 1964 so has had many extensions over the years and the plumbing system needed a competent team to assess and understand. Plumbbob was careful to nurse my previous boiler along, well beyond its advertised lifetime. When the old one was clearly leaking, they were careful to assess exactly what boiler I needed, and where it was to be placed. They advised against further work I asked about, because they thought it was not effective. When they installed the new boiler, they did so rapidly, effectively, and cleanly. They invoiced exactly when they said they would, the amount they said they would. They took care of registering the boiler with Worcester, and sent me the guarantees immediately. I look forward to them servicing my boiler for years to come!

Jon Moorby and his team from Plumbbob were very professional from start to finish, and thoroughly nice people to boot. The whole experience of replacing our old boiler was totally pain-free from the moment I first spoke to Jon, Not the cheapest, but definitely worth it. He did exactly what he said he would, and did it exactly when he said he would. He encountered one small problem, a leak in our old plumbing which needed replacing, and dealt with this extra work both willingly and carefully with no extra charge. Totally recommended.

Plumbob installed two oil boilers for us several years ago and have serviced them since. Recently they helped us to install a new oil tank. We have been very happy with the work they have done for us.
