We are Gas Safe Registered plumbing and heating engineers specialising in all aspects of boiler and central heating installations, repairs and servicing. Plumbing Wise is a family-run business with a dedicated team of experienced professional heating engineers serving clients across the whole of North London and into surrounding areas in Hertfordshire and Essex.

It's been nearly a year and a half since Plumbing Wise installed a new boiler, pipework, plumbing, radiators and the required electrics in my flat. The system has been running flawlessly ever since - and the clean, efficient ways of working that their team displayed have definitely set a standard. Andy provided me with a very detailed and competitive quote that left no question unanswered and made it easy for me to engage Plumbing Wise for the job. The actual work took three days during which the team worked quickly and diligently, arriving on time, collaborating well with another builder who was onsite at the time and cleaning up after themselves on each working day. I'm very glad that I found Plumbing Wise through the Which? Trusted Trader pages and will definitely engage them again for any upcoming maintenance work in my flat.

Having suffered much misery trying to get a boiler replacement, I stumbled upon Plumbing Wise. They happened to have an agent in my area and he came to us within a couple of hours. He suggested a solution where we had lost hope. He gave us a quote that had us rub our eyes in disbelief for its reasonableness and installed our boiler within two days. He was friendly, professional and thorough all the way. I couldn't recommend Plumbing Wise more strongly. Forget all others. These guys are the real deal.

Thanks to Andy & Pete for the great work they did replacing the 30+ year old boiler we inherited when we moved house. We were recommend Plumbing Wise by our neighbour when trying to find our lost (now found) cat & we have her to thank for finding the firm! The guys thought outside the box as to how to replace the existing pipe work when moving the boiler & did a speedy yet very neat job all round. The guarantee and paperwork were completed the same day & I was hugely impressed. We’ll be back to use them for our annual boiler service :)

Many thanks to Plumbingwise for being professional and considerate at the same time. They worked quickly in a difficult home context, agreeing to limit the impact of their work to the minimum, due to the resident being in palliative care at home. They were polite, punctual, respectful and willing to explain their methods and the plumbing system to me carefully. The costs were explained clearly in the original quote and extras were also quoted separately. The final bill was also good value for money, compared with previous quotes from other companies. Due to the minimum impact approach, we had no problems during the installation, although we had expected that this would be a very difficult situation during the two days of work. Well done for being punctual, polite, considerate and respectful in a difficult situation and many thanks for your excellent work!

We had been without heating and hot water for 8 days, the service we had paid for with a well-known company did not happen. Contacted Pete who came, gave us some recommendations, sent a quote which was very competitive and we agreed it and the work has been performed (all within 5 days, very efficient) to a high quality by friendly knowledgeable people. The work removed a hot water tank, header tank, and old boiler and replace it with a combination boiler and rework the services and new timer and room thermostat. The warranty, working of the system was all explained, very professional in all aspects of their work. I have no problem recommending them and will be using them for servicing and any other plumbing work I might require.

Plumbing Wise Ltd fitted both my mother-in-law's and my sister's heating system and it was without hesitation that I asked them to fit our new boiler. Our original Vaillant had seen us through 24 winters and it was time for it to visit the great big boiler farm in the sky. Pete surveyed our home one afternoon, gave us his expert recommendation and put together a detailed estimate by the evening. Price was very competitive and the swap over happened within a week. Andy and Pete expertly (and tidily) fitted the new boiler and Hive thermostat without a hitch or any fuss and we couldn't be happier with the whole procedure and the result. Here's hoping this Vaillant gives us as many winters as the last one did. Thanks guys.

I am currently undertaking an extension and Plumbing Wise carried out the boiler/radiator works. Plumbing Wise came to site and acted professionally, ensuring that the installation went smoothly and without a hitch. They stripped out the existing pipe work to the old boiler and completely redid it. The standard surpassed what I was expecting and it was a shame that it will be hidden behind the new kitchen cabinets. Finally, when they finished the installation, they ran through the warranty and operation of the new boiler leaving me fully upto speed on maintenance and operation. Based on my experience, I would have no issue recommending their services.

Peter of Plumbing Wise installed my original Vaillant boiler a couple of years ago, including a Nest wireless thermostat. This setup works really well, and responds to the weather forecasts bringing the heating on earlier on cold days and allowing me to set minimum temperatures. I asked Plumbing Wise recently to quote for putting my loft extension on a separate circuit with it's own Nest thermostat. The quote was received promptly and the work completed in half a day, including a few other tasks. I now have a system which gives me a lot more control and allows me to be more selective over heating, which will improve both economy and comfort levels. A very neat job, efficiently done, well worth the money.

Plumbing Wise replaced our old gas boiler, it was a complicated job due to the location but that seemed to be no issue to them at all. We had contacted several other companies previously most of whom wouldn't even quote for the job due to the complications. Peter saw past the problems and spent time trying to come up with a workable solution that fitted our needs, this really impressed us and convinced us that they were the right company to go with. On top of that their price was very reasonable compared with others. Andy and Peter have done a really brilliant job and we're so pleased with the result. Everything was explained to us well prior to the work starting, they were prompt, considerate, really friendly and incredibly helpful throughout. We won't hesitate to use Plumbing Wise again and would certainly recommend them to others.

Plumbing Wise have replaced an old boiler, removed an enormous immersion heater, fitted a shower and replaced all our radiators with smaller and more efficient ones. They had to do it all in a very small working area and in the middle of social distancing. Andy and Pete have done an excellent job with the minimum of fuss and disruption and at a very reasonable cost. We are so pleased with our new system and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. We have also signed up to their annual boiler check.

Plumbing Wise and their recommended electrician replaced an old gas boiler in a small City of London flat with an electric one, and replaced all associated pipework and hot water tank. Their price was very reasonable compared with another quote, and they appear to have done a superb job. Our tenant is very pleased, particularly as they fixed two taps and changed some tricky light bulbs free of charge while there! I was particularly impressed by how they encouraged me to change my mind on where some trunking should go - their idea was much better. They inspired confidence from the very first phonecall, through the quotation process, the provision of insurance information and evidence of qualifications, and carrying out the work promptly and not over-running. They were also very considerate and tidy when in the flat. I will definitely use them again.

Plumbingwise installed a new boiler along with replacing an unvented tank with a MegaFlow and some radiators for me in late 2016. That work was completed to a high standard and I've had no issues with the system since, friendly and professional guys. Routine annual visits over the last three years have been to the same high standard. Highly Recommended.

We had an electric boiler fitted by Plumbing Wise about 2 years ago (to replace a gas boiler - we're in a listed building so the gas flue was troublesome). From our initial contact, they were extremely helpful and organised. They dealt with the whole process, including bringing in an (excellent) electrician. They did a clean and tidy job too. We're really happy with our electric boiler - it's totally quiet and has been completely reliable. It's a bit more expensive to run than our previous gas boiler but we also make savings from not needing a gas servicing contract. I would definitely recommend Plumbing Wise and would use them again.
