Now celebrating our 50th year of trading, R G Lickerish Ltd started as a family business in 1965 and with each generation the company has expanded, employing fully trained engineer’s who are able to repair domestic laundry products, cookers, hobs, microwaves, dishwashers and fridge/freezers, by the majority of manufacturer’s. Although the company has continued to grow, we pride ourselves on a personal service, keeping the ethos of a family run business.

We have a 10 year old Mercury RC1090 range oven which a week ago decided to stop working (turned out the main oven element had fused). Mercury have been bought by Rangemaster, who when contacted I soon realised that they couldn't care less and don't offer repairs for out of warranty ovens (these ovens cost nearly £5k new). I did a bit of research online and forums full of expensive repair stories. Then I searched for local companies and came across R.G. Lickerish. I contacted them, explained the situation, girl on the phone was very good, booked in call out and requested that engineer came with heating element unit - as oven fan was still working, just no heat. Engineer booked in for Monday morning and was excellent - took no more than 30 mins to fix. £100 call out and £120 for the unit. Beats replacing expensive range cooker and hopefully this repair will last for years to come. R.G. Lickerish service was 5 Star from start to finish. Couldn't have asked for better and all resolved in few days.

We needed a built in replacement refrigerator and were shown the models which would fit. Refrigerator was fitted and old one taken away at the same time with complete professionalism. After fitting we noticed the wine rack had a mark on it and without any problems a new was delivered with speed. I would definitely recommend using this helpful, efficient, professional trader.

I used this service on the basis of the Which? Local recommendation which I endorse from my own experience. My slot was for the afternoon of a snowy 23 December; on the day, I was phoned to see if I would except an earlier call within 30 mins. I agreed and so it happened - oven restored to life!! Excellent.

Service to both Neff dishwasher and Smeg oven/hob. Though Peterborough-based, they cover Cambridge. Excellent telephone reception (have the model and machine numbers to hand) ready to give a date. They gave a half-day window for the engineer to call, and this was fulfilled both times. He serviced both machines one the one call-out. A good experience. We have used them twice in, perhaps, 5 years.
