I had an issue with viessmann over a faulty pump in my boiler they would not send an engineer out to fix the problem unless i agreed to pay a fee of£144 even though it was under warranty being two years old. I contacted RYAN at RJMARTINDALE who installed the boiler. He contacted viessmann and had them send an engineer to replace the pump motor under the warranty no fee to pay. A big thank you to RYAN and staff for their help in solving this problem with viessmann

We have been Advanced Homecare customers for over two years. We have called on their expertise a few times in this period and have not been disappointed. You can speak to a person at reception who is friendly and efficient. They turn up when they say, look smart and are always polite. Any problems were resolved efficiently and without fuss. I consider my Homecare plan good value for money as I can compare with others I have used in the past

Turned up on time to replace two radiators with ones I had bought and re-hang a third. Excellent job completed with no mess or fuss. Reasonable charges. I will use them for annual boiler service in future.

Having checked https://trustedtraders.which.co.uk/ we happened upon R J Martindale and thank them most sincerely. From first contact to last everything was dealt with efficiently and quickly from initial contact to completion 5 days and 3 of those were a weekend and Bank holiday Monday! The admin staff were brilliant in sorting out everything we needed to do to get a quote, arrange the work and make payment. The engineer was also great he took the trouble to let me know what work he had done and why, he was meticulous in attention to protecting my carpets and all rubbish and old boiler removed, which made it hard to tell any work had been done. All in all a fabulous experience and a company I would recommend anybody to use and I usually don't recommend anything just in case but I'm confident I wouldn't be let down by Martindale's.

Ryan's team arrived promptly on Tuesday 7th of June and immediately got done down to work. Scott and Theo removed the old boiler with minimal fuss and mess and continued working tirelessly throughout the day. They were always cheerful and we hardly knew they'd been there at the end of the day. On Wednesday they were joined by Paul and the three of them installed our new radiators and tested the system. Again they took great care in tidying up. We are extremely pleased with the completed work which was done in the time specified and to the agreed price. I have no hesitation in recommending R.J Martindale. I have had a service plan for my boiler and central heating with Ryan's company for 2 years. The staff in the office are friendly and helpful and the engineers who visit are courteous, efficient and knowledgeable. They are a local Bolton company who provide an excellent cost effective service. Give them a try , you won't be disappointed.

Called Martindale in to fit a new radiator and two thermostat valves - they were recommended by friends who used them before. They brought overshoes to use in the house and went to great lengths to avoid spillages and keep things clean. The work was completed by two very pleasant young men who arrived on time (a little early - no problem) and did a good job in a shorter space of time than I thought it would take. Cleaned up everywhere after finishing - we couldn't tell they'd been. I will definitely use RJ Martindale again.

We wanted an old wall heater removed and a previously installed radiator moving along the same wall to cover the area where the old wall heater had been. I have been a Homecare customer for twelve months after a long and expensive term with British Gas. I had my annual boiler service today and the engineers turned up on time. They were friendly, professional and smart. They explained what they had done and took time to answer the questions I had. It is good to be able to speak to someone in the office as well. Serviceman arrived at the agreed time slot to service the back boiler. He worked efficiently and was very tidy leaving no mess. He explained that it was important to make sure there was an adequate airflow into the room to avoid build up of dangerous gas like carbon monoxide. He answered all my questions in a friendly manner. I have only just started to use R J Martindale. Unfortunately, I had a problem, 10 days after getting my contract. Everyone from Joanne in the office, Ryan and most of all Luke provided a first class service. Nothing was too much trouble and they kept me informed of what was happening. I am very pleased with my initial experience and would strongly recommend this trader. In addition, the service is value for money and much better, in my experience, than some of the so called big players in this market.

Very pleased from start to finish, the original quote was provided online but as we wanted to move the boiler from the kitchen into the loft, Ryan Martindale came out to check that it would be OK and took photographs of all the locations, boiler, meter, propose location. The order was placed and a date confirmed. The two engineers turned up on time, were very polite and friendly, Scott even taking time to make a fuss over our puppy. They placed carpet protector over the areas that I hadn't covered with dustsheets and asked to look at the boiler, meter and loft, they had seen the photographs but still wanted to see what was what. After checking that we had sufficient water for the day they started. Apart from drinking the cups of coffee that they were given, they didn't take a break. The old boiler was removed along with the old cistern and associated pipework, new boiler installed, all the hot and cold water pipes along with the central heating pipes in the loft moved and/or terminated, new gas supply to the boiler, radiators bled and instruction provided on the new controls. Old boiler, cistern and redundant pipework removed from site and everything left cleaned and tidy, even the porch roof was swept clean of all debris! Very pleased with the service from start to finish, the girls in the office, Ryan and the two engineers, wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I cannot praise RJ Martindale highly enough. From providing a very transparent and detailed quotation through to completion of work has been fantastic. All work carried out was very thorough and completed to a very high standard and with respect to the property leaving everywhere clean and tidy. From the minute I contacted RJ Martindale they were nothing but perfect! Responsive, punctual and more than anything just friendly, trustworthy and reliable. They arrived within the time frame stated, they were friendly and put shoe covers on. I know this is a little point. But it's a lovely touch, especially when the weather is wet and miserable outside, saving me cleaning through the house when they leave. They serviced the boiler quickly and explained what my home care cover covers and he was just a nice bloke, friendly and professional. Glad I picked them after having horrible service elsewhere.

Found the advert in a local free magazine. Looked up reviews online and on social media and they were all five stars. Compared it with the service I have been receiving from British Gas Homecare, which has been totally unacceptable for the amount being charged and signing up was an easy decision. The communication since has been excellent and the initial boiler service was carried out today by very polite and professional representatives. I have already recommended the company to other family members.

The whole process was first-rate from start to finish. The installation engineer (Paul) prepared the process by removing outdoor shoes on arrival and wearing indoor footwear whilst indoors. He then worked tirelessly throughout the whole time he was here and was very explicit in showing me the process of setting up the mobile thermostat.

I arranged for Ryan to provide a quote to replace the boiler for my 81yr old mother. A very friendly and thorough service from start to finish. They provide a full detailed description of the work to be carried out and advise honestly on the best option, no hidden extras just an honest and clear picture of what needs to be done. Mark and his apprentice-we think-came on time to service our boiler.Mark was pleasant and knowledgeable. He covered the kitchen top with a mat so not to damage it. My first impressions with the company have exceeded all my expectations. The office staff were friendly, knowledgeable, very informative and she took the time to explain the contract and price to me. Every time I switched my central heating on my electrics tripped. As it was the weekend I just left a message to which Ryan responded to immediately promising to contact me on Monday unless it became an emergency. True to his word I spoke to Joanne who said due to a cancellation an engineer could be with me that afternoon. Luke arrived before the allotted time and soon established the fault, rang a colleague and got the new pump delivered. He lifted my laminate flooring to remove the faulty pump and didn't damage one piece and replaced them near-perfect after some sweat and I'm sure under breath swearing!! I was very impressed !! He tidied up after himself, replacing my furniture and thanking me for the brews and cake!! He talked me through everything he did, explaining why the fault had occurred, showing me the damaged pump when removed and explaining what would happen now the new one was in place. I soon had a nice warm house and no tripped electrics. I would have no hesitation in recommending R Martindale to friends and family. Excellent service

My boiler was very old and needed replacing fast, I contacted the company and Ryan replied very quickly and arranged to call the same day, he provided me with a number of quotes to meet my budget and arranged for a boiler to be fitted the following week. We have just signed up to RJ.Martindale's after being with British Gas for a very long period of time. We found their company advertised in a free local magazine delivered to our home and are so very glad that we did. Our contract was coming up to renew with British Gas so the timing was right. From the very first contact with RJ .Martidale's was helpful, friendly & easy. An appointment was made for an inspection of our boiler. The engineer arrived, his name was Luke & straight away we felt very impressed he was friendly efficient , checked the boiler out, explained everything that we needed to know & if we have any problems, not to hesitate to contact them. We went for the Advance contract, the price being a fraction of our previous payment which is another bonus. We feel we have joined a family & can highly recommend them. I'm not usually one for writing reviews, but I felt compelled to write this one. I received above and beyond service from this company and Scott in particular. I have recently moved into a new home and had been struggling with slight renovations. However today upon fitting my new boiler, Scott came to the rescue to give me a helping hand with the more technical issues of my kitchen renovation. Therefore, I needed to express my gratitude towards this company and Scott as without their help I'd have been stranded.

Ryan fitted a new boiler for us almost 3 years ago. He was very professional and nothing was too much trouble for him. His price was very competitive. Old boiler failed so new one was required, made an enquiry online, Ryan made contact same day and arranged a visit to survey the job. He quickly got back with 2 options and explained these to us. We made our selection and an installation date was scheduled. Boiler was installed quickly by a friendly engineer who also found a gas leak in the system which was located and repaired same day. We’ve had 3 jobs done by R J Martindale Ltd now, the first was a new boiler fitting, the second was fixing some leaking radiators and the third was our annual boiler service. Each time the work has been scheduled in quickly, well organised (all 3 times we’ve had a reminder email the day before of the work and the guys have turned up on time) and professionally undertaken to a high standard. The guys doing the work are always friendly and clean up after themselves.

We needed to have a new boiler fitted as British Gas had made rather a mess of repairs to our old boiler. Ryan from RJ Martindale came out to explain to us what the problem was and what choices we had with a new boiler. We felt confident in his firm’s ability to provide us with a new combi boiler and the work was carried out a few days later. The 3 fitters arrived on time and promptly put all the covers down to stop any mess. They worked so hard that day, despite it being one of the hottest days of the year. They made sure we were inconvenienced as little as possible when the gas and water were turned off. We were given a full explanation of how the new boiler worked and we were left with a perfectly clean and tidy house and garage. All the old water tanks and pipes were taken away and the drive was swept. I will certainly be recommending them to all my friends and family.

Fantastic quick same day response to our problem from RJ Martindale plumbing & heating solutions to assess our old leaking tank & old boiler that we had to cut the water off to that left us with no water supply. Big thank you to Luke & Aaron for attending so quickly the same day we called and providing a temporary cold water solution to manage with & completing a thorough inspection of the problem & helping to provide us with a great quote from Ryan which we accepted and the work was scheduled to take place within a week. Scott, dan & toby arrived to fit the new boiler & central heating and were all very friendly, professional & explained what they were doing and made it so easy for us to understand and were extremely good at their jobs and really courteous & very tidy too, all the lads that helped get our problem sorted very quickly are a credit to you and we would highly recommend using this company to get the best job done as soon as possible, great customer service from all & really happy, thanks again.

So pleased with my new electric shower, which R J Martindales not only chose for me but installed fast and professionally. My old shower was dismantled and taken away and the work area was left spotless. Perfect.

I moved from another provider to Martindales a few weeks ago as they were local to me and had been highly recommended as giving a personal service. From my first conversation with them I knew I had made the right decision. They are professional, thorough, organised, helpful and friendly and really do make you feel like you are their most important customer with the personal care given. Luke who visited our rental property went above and beyond what he had to do with no extra charge and our tenant said he was ‘lovely’ Joanne and Grace in the office always answer the phone promptly in a cheerful manner and are more than happy to help with any queries. And Ryan came back to my first enquiry out of hours very quickly too. Over all I am very pleased with the exceptional service and would highly recommend this lovely local business .

Ryan has been our gas boiler engineer since he took over the business of his former employer to whom he was apprenticed. He fitted our boiler and has serviced it annually and will continue to do so. He is clean, tidy, prompt, professional, and his charges are reasonable. He ensures he leaves our appliances safe to use and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended.

The engineer arrived exactly at the time agreed, he was very polite, extremely efficient & kept everything really clean & tidy whilst working. When he finished he explained how to use the new boiler & ensured i knew how to use the heating & water. The water is now flowing far better than before & the new boiler works very well. All correspondence with Martindales both before & after fitting was brilliant & they fitted my new boiler within days as my old one had completely broken & we had no hot water. The price was very competitive & I would highly recommend them if you need a boiler or heating system.

Having been with a national gas and electric provider and used their annual boiler and fire service provision for many years I decided enough was enough, both in terms of waiting and cost. I moved to Martindales in July and I have to admit that the standard of work, the cleanliness, the cost and the overall level of communication far exceeded anything I had ever received from the other provider. Scott and Toby did a fantastic job fitting our new replacement boiler. They turned up on time, worked efficiently, were tidy and polite. Even found a fault on the new boiler that could have easily been hidden, but they ordered a new boiler that was delivered quickly and replaced. My partner and I recently had a Hive fitted to our boiler by R J Martindale Ltd and we have to say the service we received was second to none. We spoke to a very pleasant lady on the phone to get booked in who was very accommodating to our needs. When the engineer turned up he was very polite and professional. He gave us a call while he was en-route to say that he will be on time which we thought was great! After he’d carried out the job he helped us with the app set up on our phones to make sure we were happy with the installation and insisted that if we had any problems to give the office a call and it will be dealt with straight away. Needless to say, we didn’t have any problems! He even left the kitchen cleaner than when he’d arrived ha! We don’t normally leave reviews, but because the service was so good we had to put it out there. We will definitely be using this service again! Thank you!

Martindale were recommended by the Boiler supplier. They attended site to confirm what work was required and provided a quote for the complete installation. This involved removing the old combi boiler and replacing it with the new one. Also, they recommended that they would do a full inspection of the radiators and balance the system if required. First impressions were very good as they explained all the work required. Once on site they explained the work required again to confirm all parties were on the same wavelength. They then proceeded to protect all floor covering in the kitchen and on the stairs as the boiler was in the loft space. Once finished they cleaned up and took all existing parts away. All work was completed as quoted on time and to budget. The Manager of the company followed up with a tel call about 2 days later to confirm that we were happy with the work and to confirm that his work force were polite and informative. The engineers explained all the instruction for the boiler and controller and set them up to our requirements. They confirmed the communications details for any issues.
