Due to an unfortunate incident my front door got damaged and dented. The insurance agreed to pay for a new door. Went to realistic home improvements in saltash, had a very quick response, quickly came out to do a quote and the door was ordered. To be honest, I’ve never had a new door before eso had no idea what I was ordering and what was good or not. The door arrived, WOW!!! it is beautiful and amazing quality. The locks and door handles are incredible quality and the latest secure technology when I researched it all later after I got it. I was very impressed how they made sure I had the best quality items on the door when to be honest they could’ve put anything as I would never have known!! So they are very trustworthy, very happy to help, great after service, beautiful door and the fitters were very very friendly and were very considerate of my son who has autism who was having his breakfast in the kitchen when it was being fitted. Would definitely recommend and would use again

Thank you for this lovely recommendation as well as the card and the gifts you brought for us in the office, which was totally unexpected surprise as well as very much appreciated, it touched us all.
The Realistic team did a great job replacing our ageing wooden conservatory

Ryan visited us at the outset and we agreed on an Ultraframe rosewood finish conservatory with ultra slate grey solid roof and agreed a price Surveyor Dave produced detailed plans and we were kept informed of progress. The build team of Chris and Matt were brilliant at demolishing the old conservatory and built the new one on the existing walls. Their speed and quality of work, tideness and approachability was second to none. Internal plastering was carried out to a high standard by Brian. A bit of snagging was carried out promptly. We are extremely pleased with the finished article and cannot fault the whole work team including Jen and Dean in the office

Dean was very thorough and efficient in designing the conservatory. Surveyor checked all measurements and Conservatory was completed in promised time frame and exactly as planned. Surprisingly, I get far more water draining from the level box gutter than was first thought. I need a bigger water butt!

Realistic did an excellent job replacing our conservatory roof. They were quick, efficient, very tidy and considerate. There was minimal disruption, and they avoided using scaffolding. The cost was exactly as estimated. I recommend them highly.

Realistic Home Improvements fitted several new, large windows for us plus a new back door with side window and a composite front door with side glass panel. From the initial consultation through to the fitting and follow up, nothing was too much trouble. Ryan listened to everything we wanted and Dave took it all on board when surveying and measuring. Fitters Tim, Graham, Matt and Chris were first rate. Things tend to be challenging in our house and nothing phased them. They worked hard and respected our home. They were also very clean and left everything tidy. We had one thing that needed a quick inspection after fitting - this was arranged immediately and sorted within 48 hours. Highly recommended!

Poor Work- Bad Attitude

Our nightmare began in April 21 when Realistic were contracted to build a Conservatory. It should have taken 4 to 7 weeks to complete, but due to substandard work and corner cutting, there have been issues from the outset and it remains unfinished, unsafe and unfit for use over 2 years later. Realistic failed to build our Conservatory to the agreed Specification or to Contract. There are simply too many issues to list, but multiple Water Leaks along with Mould are the least of our problems. Still, the arrogant Mr Barratt refuses to put things right and has twice ignored our invitation to come round to discuss a way forward. In our experience, it appears that poor building practice, negligent installers and appalling communications are Company traits. We have adhered to Which Trusted Traders complaints process to no avail, and despite arranging a report that highlighted numerous significant issues, Realistic have remain intransigent and totally uncooperative. Costing some £22,000 and over 2 years of stress, grief, inconvenience and sleepless nights, which I believe contributed to my suffering a Stroke last year, it is more cost effective to raise this Carbuncle to the ground and start again, and our only recourse is to now pursue this through the Courts. This Which Trusted Trader took our money and ran. Our honest advice is to avoid them like the Plague.

We are sorry that you feel this way seeing that we have always been willing to come back and undertake the small amount of remaining works that are required to the contract specification. You were provided with detailed written quotation, with CAD drawings and signed a contract of works to have a conservatory installed at your property, not an open plan extension, which it is now classified as because you removed your external doors. Having verbally explaining this to you as well as it being clearly written into the contract, that you adhered with. Your conservatory has a small amount of building work as well as a couple of adjustments to take to practical completion. You called a halt to works demanding that conservatory is then reclassified as a full build extension - This was never agreed. We informed the ombudsman back in February that we are willing to complete the contracted works - We are still waiting on a replay as well as a resolution.

Ryan Barrett visited my property and produced all the CADS whilst he was there and it all looked amazing. Ryan was very honest and confident that the small area I had would work and make the perfect dining room/sun lounge area. He was true to his word as the area has made an amazing difference and have been able to place my existing dining furniture perfectly. When the works started in October, 22 the groundworks team were amazing (Ben and Graham) so hardworking and conscious about the level of upheaval. Then Chris and Matt took over with the build and again amazing and dedicated workers. There was great continuity and the Plasterer, Brian, his work was amazing too and great comments were made by my visiting friends. I’m more than pleased with the extra room as it has made so much difference having that extra space which feels so much bigger than I thought it was going to be. So a huge thank you to Ryan and all his team for being amazing perfectionists as anything less was not acceptable in their eyes and if there was an issue that arose there was always a solution. Thank you.

Many we take the opportunity to thank Realistic for an amazing professional service replacing our damaged conservatory roof and also all the glass in our SMART system bifold doors as well as repairing the alignment on both sets of bifolds. Ryan believed he could repair the structure and our faith in him was evident when Realistic teams arrived on time and straight to task. They were highly professional, courteous, conscientious and caring. It was obvious they take pride in their work when repairing our structure making it better than previously installed. The two teams from Realistic were friendly, respectful and wanted to do a first class job. May we highlight Chris and Matthew were outstanding and could not do enough to ensure the replacement went smoothly. We were also taken back by their work ethic and ensured everything was clean and tidy. It is not often you get a first class service but we feel we have from Realistic. We cannot recommend Realistic enough!

Thank you for acknowledging the team who worked on this project for you, they really did an amazing job, turning what seemed to be a level 10 problem into a not a problem in the future. I only wish I could have been on site when the crane was lowering the glass into place.

The fitting of the windows was excellent and the fitters were polite and courteous. The problem started about 18 months later when the paint started to come off the uPVC trim. I contacted them and in the 6 months since have received nothing but excuses. The icing on the cake is the utter rudeness and contempt of the woman who answers their phone and is also a director of the company.

We are sorry that you feel this way, and have felt it necessary to leave such a defamatory review, and a shame that you didn't feel compelled to leave a review prior to your need for an aesthetic change of external trim, that has been completed. 1. We sent someone around to assess the trim and it was agreed that it required replacing, due to the paint finish not bonding, small chips had appeared. 2. You have non standard green coloured foil finish windows on your flat, the trims needed to be sprayed as they are not available over the counter. Paint was sourced then sprayed, but unfortunately the wrong shade of green had been ordered, which was not discovered until the installers came to site, subsequently the correct paint was ordered. 3. It was then arranged that as we were installing more products for another client that we would came back to yours as well. The day arrived, the installers went to the downstairs garage in your building to spray the trims but couldn't as the temperature on the day was too low, you were informed of this 4. The installers took the trims home and sprayed them in their own time over Christmas ready to install in the New Year 5. You contacted me directly for an update the first week of Jan 2023 but your business email address went into my spam, and I was unable to respond, so you went directly to Which to lodge a complaint 6. Staff have every right to verbally defend themselves when they feel that are not being spoken to as a fellow human being

We were very pleased with work which Realistic carried out. Despite very bad weather (high winds and rain) the roof was completed in the timescale promised without any ingress of rain and with no significant problems. We are delighted with the new roof and the much improved sound insulation, heat retention and light passing into the adjoining room compared with the old polycarbonate roof. We would recommend Realistic to anyone.
