What a delight to find a friendly, courteous and capable professional who knows what he is doing and does it well. I found Ralph through Trusted Traders and was a little worried about a roof repair after a leak into an upstairs bedroom. Ralph arrived when he said he would, talked through his survey with me using photos of the problem, and fixed it, with photos to show what he had done. A good professional who provides good work and good service, at a fair price. Would you choose to climb all over your roof! I will definitely use him again the next time I have a roof job and I recommend him to anyone else.

Let down (twice)
I arranged for a roof survey and Ralph Johnson didn't turn up on either occasion. The first time I contacted him and he simply stated he'd been totally engaged in another job. OK, I understand it happens, but just ring/message to let me know! I gave him another chance, 2 days later (yesterday) and AGAIN he just didn't turn up...and I've heard NOTHING, even though I've given him till 15:00 hours the following day to give me his reason. So, completely unreliable. I will not be using him.

I am always nervous when using a new contractor but we were impressed with RG Johnson. We had water dripping from our ceiling and we found their number on Which Trusted Traders website. None of the other companies that we left messages with had any availability. R G Johnson said that they were able to come out the same day to assess the problem. On arrival, they were polite, efficient and swiftly found the "culprit" roof tile and replaced it and a couple of other nearby to make sure the area was sound. My only gripe is that it wasn't explained to us that it was classed as an emergency call out and charged accordingly. I do not know how their charge of £100 for this compares to other companies. They took care to wear masks when in the house to assess the problem and ensured safe distancing.

Ralph and his team recently completed a complicated fence renewal which also involved replacing a large shed roof. The work was completed quickly and efficiently. We found Ralph and team very competent and trustworthy. In fact this was the second time we had employed Ralph - previously they had refurbished and en-suite in our bedroom and altered a bathroom and toilet. Ralph also had arranged for his plumber to replace a shower pump that had failed under guarantee after two years!

I needed a long old garden wall rebuilt. I had already had one quote from an expert which was twice as much as Ralph's. He was twice as fast, very efficient, very accommodating and could not have been more professional. I would highly recommend him and his men.

Ralph immediately understood from the drawings provided what we were looking for, and delivered a beautiful traditional brick fireplace in our kitchen/ dining room. His team were professional, efficient, and delivered work of the highest standard. Would highly recommend!

Ralph has done work for us over the last ten or twelve years and his standard of workmanship has always been second to none. As our building is listed we pick our tradesmen carefully and Ralph’s work is always done sympathetically to maintain the buildings heritage. Thouroughly recommended.

Ralph and his team have completed a new bathroom ( two rooms into one), a new en-suite, new doors throughout our house as well as a new window and a set of french doors with a Juliet balcony! We found them to be very pleasant and trustworthy. They cleaned up very well each day and nothing was too much trouble for them. We can now cut down on our shop for coffee and biscuits!
