Since my husband died I have found it difficult to manage things like changing lightbulbs, and when the light in the bathroom went out, I was unable to climb up to change the bulb. Fortunately I was able to turn to Ed as he has done work for us several times in the past, and I knew I could rely on him. He dropped by on his way home that evening and identified the problem, which was more than a burned out bulb. He suggested how we might get round the problem, and we arranged a time for the next week, but he then contacted me to say he could do the work today if it was convenient. Ed has done major work for us in the past but he was just as willing to undertake this small job, and that means a lot. I feel confident that he will do a good job in any situation, and his kindness makes him a special trader. I recommend him without any hesitation.

We were looking for an electrician to install a pendant light over our dining table and have it work from the wall switch, which previously controlled a set of LED down-lights. We asked that the down-lights be transferred to another circuit so that they remained functional. Ed's work was excellent and we are very happy with the result. It was very easy to discuss the job with him, and he took the time to understand what we wanted. He quoted an amount that we thought was very reasonable for the work and he had availability within a few days. On the day of the work, he and his apprentice arrived on time and the whole thing was done in under 90 mins, including clean-up afterwards. No hidden costs or charges either! Very happy with this result and impressed with Ed's work. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an electrician in the west London area.

I needed an electrician in late January 2023 and did some research on the Trusted Traders site and other similar sites. I chose to contact Rich Electrical because their reviews were excellent and they were local to me. Since then Ed Rich has completed three jobs for me, all to replace and upgrade the lights in my kitchen and utility rooms. The jobs were all completed to my full satisfaction. Ed is personable, friendly and helpful, he turns up on time and is happy to explain what he is doing. For the last job he even went above and beyond the call of duty by researching the internet on my behalf to find an adaptor plate big enough for my light! I have no hesitation in highly recommending Ed - he is a consummate professional.

Ed did a small job for us but to an excellent standard. He will definitely be the first person we go to with any other jobs and would recommend him to everyone. Ed is a first class electrician and a first class professional. I commissioned Ed to carry out a number of electrical jobs in my mother's property, including: installing a new electric shower, replacing an external light and installing a number of new and additional plug sockets, throughout the house. My mother and the rest of my family had not used a tradesperson for a very long time and so I needed someone who would put them at their ease and who could be completely trusted, in their home. Before the work began, Ed proved himself to be prompt and informative in his replies to my various queries and he was very flexible and understanding, when I added further jobs (even up to the day before the work started). Ed is an extremely likeable, friendly, kind, efficient and hardworking professional with excellent communication skills; a real pleasure to have around. Ed kept my family informed of his progress throughout the day and they were delighted with every single aspect of his work for them; in fact, they are already planning to ask Ed back to carry out additional work. This job was to install double electrical sockets in my elderly mother's Ruislip home. I found Ed through word of mouth and recommendation. The job of locating a potential source to run the cable from was potentially awkward but Ed identified a neat under the floorboard solution. He also made recommendations about electrical safety. He cleared up nicely and it was a fair price.

Ed gave us a comprehensive quote for the work, started and finished on time, and completed the work for his quoted price. He was helpful in recommending and getting the parts we needed, and was happy to amend the work to suit our requirements. Ed was diligent and a pleasure to have around our home. Ed was great can't recommend him enough. Very friendly over the phone when getting details for initial quote. However before the arranged date for site visit I did ask for additional work which Ed was quick to respond to. On the day Ed worked quick, efficiently, explained things I had questions on and performed some wizardry that allowed me to have bathroom mirror that requires mains supply not have any external wiring - even though it was a tiled wall backed onto plasterboard that was dabbed onto concrete. Also took the time to clear up properly after so the flat was left in a good state.
