We carefully researched the possibilities of having an extension to replace our ageing conservatory by inviting several companies to discuss the matter. Ben, the owner of Richard Thomas was one the people who engaged in discussion. He was immediately the most impressive. It was like discussing our dreams with a knowledgeable friend. He listened and made suggestions as to the best way of achieving our vision but at no time was he ‘pushy’…it was our ideas that he wanted to implement. He explained the process thoroughly and produced a plan of who would come, on what days, at what times. A short while later the surveyor came to review the situation and measure up. The measurements were sent to the manufacturer who produced each component already cut to size, labelled and ready for the construction. The team had the same hallmark as Ben… warm, friendly and immensely proud of their work. On the first day our conservatory was demolished, removed from our garden By the end of the week we had our new extension built, secure and weather proof. We went on holiday, Ben had planned around our arrangements, and then the team returned and did the electrics and plastering. Everything to a high standard, everything on time, everything made so easy for us. We have a tiny garden and ours is a difficult site but on each day all was left clean and tidy. We are absolutely delighted with not only the end result but with the entire process.

Richard looked after us superbly, before, during and after we contracted them to redo our conservatory roof. Rob, Warren and the team listened carefully and took pains to ensure all was done on time and to specifications. The site team worked dilligently and efficiently, tidily and respectfully. We decided to replace our conservatory roof with a warm, insulated one. After obtaining three quotations and proposals, we considered the best option was Richard Thomas. The completed project confirmed that this decision was correct. The project was managed effectively, starting and completing as planned with no delays, with all of the trades following on after each other. The product is excellent, and the level of workmanship is the highest. A special mention to Eryk and Callum, who undertook the installation. They were so helpful, hardworking, and are a credit to the company.

All the staff from Richard Thomas Conservatories that we dealt with were very polite, respectful, and a pleasure to work with. The job was relatively small, putting a glass lean-to alongside our kitchen, incorporating some pre-existing structure, but it was a bit awkward. The skilled men who worked on it were very effective regarding the tricky parts, adapting to our minor alterations/requests with ease - the end result is great! We’re very happy! We bought our new front door in 2021, and last night—four years later—the lock broke. We called Richard Thomas at 8:30 a.m. this morning. Kevin was friendly, helpful, and immediately reassured us that the issue was covered under warranty. He came out right away, and by 9 a.m., everything had been replaced and was working perfectly. You really can’t ask for better customer service. We’re very happy customers!

We are very happy with our new Conservatory from Richard Thomas Conservatories. The design that Ben came up with is perfect for how we want to use the space. The 4 large sliding doors at the front of the conservatory give a great view of the garden. The whole team have been very friendly, got on with their work efficiently, and have done a great job. Project Manager Kevin has kept me updated throughout the project. I am very impressed with the quality of the glass doors and roof and the door and window locking systems. We will be looking to have some more work carried out by Richard Thomas in the near future. I highly recommend Richard Thomas Conservatories and I give the Company a 5 star rating.

We engaged Richard Thomas to build a large extension onto our kitchen to create an open plan dining and sitting room. From the initial meetings with Ben, through planning to build and installation, it's been an excellent experience. Our project manager Ben has been on hand at all times, efficiently managing all the trades. Nothing has been too much trouble, every detail has been managed professionally and to a high standard. Everyone who has been on site has been polite and left their work clean and tidy. The end result is amazing and has exceeded my expectations. We engaged Richard Thomas to replace our old conservatory. From the outset, we had complete confidence in the company. Ben visited us and explained the process and showed us some good samples of the construction method . On the day they were due to start, they were on time and made very little mess removing the old structure. The new conservatory was built very quickly and the whole job was done efficiently and with no mess. Some changes we made were accommodated without fuss and we are totally satisfied with the end product. We now have an extra room we can use throughout the year.

All work was done within the specified timeframe to a high standard and at the cost quoted. All the tradesmen were polite and friendly and everything was cleaned after they had finished. A slightly sticking door was fixed quickly when notified, would highly recommend them.

We had an Orangery completed. From the initial enquiry to completion, we can not fault Richard Thomas. There was no pressure to agree to the work and we were left in peace to decide. All tradespeople were polite, punctual and tidy! The fitting team went above and beyond their work day to ensure everything was completed to their high standard. The work was completed with exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail was superb. The project manager was on hand at all times and when one of the window panes didn’t fit, it was rectified promptly. Every member of the team is an asset to the company and we would thoroughly recommend them all.

This company is outstanding. We were referred to them by an ex-employee, which is a good sign in itself. The orangery itself is excellent but we could have sourced the same one elsewhere. The difference is their people - their staff and sub-contractors were all brilliant - experts in their individual trades. We had no idea, for example, that there are people who just install lead flashings into brickwork for a living or who lay screed flooring. The whole project took 8 weeks including the XMAS break and they were only 2 days late, due to bad weather. My wife and I would recommend them 100%.

Ben and the team were a pleasure to deal with. Ben's initial meeting gave me confidence that the company would do a great job and I have not been disappointed. They demolished our old conservatory and have replaced it with a lovely new one. I would highly recommend this company.

When the guys started the work on the agreed day, they were brilliant. They cleaned up their mess every night and nothing was left at the end of the job. now that the job is finished it’s amazing. We had a glass roof on our conservatory and we have now have a new composite roof which regulates the heat inside the house amazingly well ,I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to absolutely anyone first class and brilliant.
