John at Roofcare did what amounted to a patch repair on our roof after heavy weather had led to water ingress. He responded quickly after initial contact and arranged to visit to provide an quote. Once accepted, he worked to fit in the job as soon as possible as we were going away for an extended period over Christmas and wanted the damage sorted. All contact was professional but friendly and the work was done quickly and has held up. I would happily recommend Roofcare from my experience.

This is the third time we have used Roofcare and been pleased with their work on each occasion. During the second job to replace some leaking guttering, they discovered rot in the timber at the top of the wall which supports the roof. The third visit was to replace that timber and treat the new and surrounding old timbers with preservative. They were able to do this with only a minimum number of slates stripped from the roof and when these slates were replaced it was impossible to tell from the ground that they had ever been removed. They also applied extra flashing to stop water ingress to the new timber and prevent future problems. The cleaning of both our and our neighbours properties at the end of the job was excellent and the scaffolding was removed within a week of finishing. The only negative is that it took almost exactly a year from our accepting their quote to them starting the job (which cost them a star for customer service) but this may well reflect how much their work is in demand.

Roofcare were asked to remove and replace all ridge and hip tiles and to replace an old Velux widow in the roof. They completed this work to a high standard and on time (despite the heatwave). Problems with the Velux were overcome promptly. The site was always left tidy and swept daily. Scaffolding was subcontracted satisfactorily and removed as arranged on completion. At all times the workers were friendly, polite and kept us informed of progress. They were clearly experienced and the job was complete on time and on the agreed budget. Highly recommended!

John replaced a roof at our property that was leaking due to tiles incompatible with its pitch having previously been installed before we bought the house. He was clearly very knowledgeable when surveying the work required and proposed a solution that was fairly quoted before completing the job to a high standard, meaning no more leaks and a roof that is visibly of a higher standard even to a layperson's untrained eye. John and team came and assessed leaking garage roof flashing and rear extension tile degradation- phoned Monday, they came next day. Quickly identified issues, proposed solutions and explained best course of action. Booked in and carried out agreed works, but also noted other roof with uneven tile spacing, and also resolved this. Garage now perfect, no leaks. Tile replacement and re-setting of ridges done to very high standard. Would recommend and use again.

John from Roofcare removed and replaced two damaged panels. A new hopper and downpipe were also fitted. Whilst John had roof access he also cleared our gutters for us. All rubbish was removed from site on completion. The work was completed within a day and for the quoted price. We would have no hesitation to recommend Roofcare.

Since “finding” John through Which? Trusted Traders we’ve used him several times for repairs to our 130 year old slate roof, recently quite a complicated one. His knowledge, expertise and standard of work are all impressive. He’s also very responsive: he’s just re-fixed some fallen guttering (poorly fitted by a builder a few years ago), within a couple of days of being asked.

John repaired damage to our roof in 2024 after a storm blew off a number of ridge tiles. He's very friendly and easy to talk to, and we discussed options for the roof repair which helped me to make a well-informed decision. The work was carried out quickly and on schedule, and John replaced some other damaged tiles which were discovered once the scaffolding was up. Tiles were moved around to keep the front side of the property looking neatest, which was nice attention to detail. Everything was thoroughly tidied up afterwards, and John was very good at communicating (e.g. to let me know about scaffolders coming).

John has worked for us twice now, repairing a leaking bay window roof and replacing the front guttering on the main roof and bay window. On both occasions, the work was done in a timely fashion, to a very high standard and the site was thoroughly cleaned after the work was completed. John was particularly good at explaining exactly what he had done to complete the repairs and what other problems he had spotted that would need attention in the future. The day after the guttering job, I noticed that one of the downpipe brackets had not been screwed in place and, having let John know, he was very apologetic and came round the next working day to sort it out. Overall, we have been very pleased with the service provided by Roofcare (Midlands) Ltd and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anybody.

We feared that we might need a whole new roof and were prepared for the worse. However, a visit from John at Roofcare put our mind at ease when he diagnosed that, even though the ridge tiles had perished and needed replacing, what we thought to be leaks elsewhere was condensation droplets. We also discussed our c.25 year old flat roof extension at the rear of the house, thinking that it may be prudent to have this replaced before it did start to leak. However, after inspecting the roof, again, John offered an honest suggestion that instead of going to the expense of a whole new roof, given the condition, cleaning it and applying a polyshield smooth roof coating would extend the lifespan of the flat roof considerably. When on the roof and undertaking the job, John brought to our attention that the chimney needed some urgent, remedial work. This was verified by a video he had taken to highlight the issues. When all the work was completed, they did an excellent job of cleaning and clearing. Overall, this is a very long way of saying, if ever asked if we would recommend Roofcare (Midlands), without hesitation, our response would be 'Yes'.

John is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. He goes the extra mile, is very helpful and trustworthy. John surveyed the roof on my two year old property and was able to pinpoint very quickly what was wrong with it. This enabled me to go back to the house builder and be taken seriously. My roof has now been repaired and hopefully during the next storm season my roof will not keep me awake at night with its crashing and banging.

Roof Care, gave excellent service.After twice being let down John arrived to assess the problem, discussed with us the issue and within 2 days sent an estimate for the work to be carried out. John was thorough in his assessment and we had confidence to go ahead with the work. We were then then told the work would be done in 2-3 weeks. However we were lucky enough to get a last minute cancellation and the work completed within a week of agreement to proceed. Our neighbours have commented on what a neat well finished job was made, replacing tiles, ridge tiles and led round the central heating flu. While carrying out the work John found another cracked tile and replaced that with one from behind the chimney and then put new tile out of sight behind the chimney. Then cleared all the moss and debris from the garden. Very pleased with a job well done and no more rain indoors with the heavy showers.

We first had contact with John in December 2022, he came to our rescue when our apex roof sprung a leak just as we were about to go away on holiday, he carried out a temporary repair and we were able to go away not having to worrying about a leaking roof. We had to wait for the weather to improve before John could come back to complete the full repair of the roof because tiles needed to be removed to insert new channels, this as now been done. John is honest, professional and thorough and we are very pleased with the work he has carried out at our house and would wholeheartedly recommend his company to others.

Great piece of work. 3 days to fully replace guttering and down pipes. Huge improvement on the original guttering which was very inefficient due to poor fitting. Fascia all cleaned, it’s never looked so good! Good communication, worked hard, clean and tidy. Prices a little higher than some but no regrets.

I hired John at Roofcare to rectify issues with lead flashing and loose tiles on two roofs at my house. From start to finish he was a pleasure to deal with. Honest, professional and thorough. I have used Johns services before for a roof repair and was impressed by his professionalism and quality of work so I decided to use him again for some guttering that was leaking. A joined property had previously had the gutter replaced which caused gaps and a never ending need to call out someone to fix it - so I decided to call John for a proper repair. He came the next day as he was in the area, assessed the situation and gave me a breakdown of what was wrong and a reassurance of why it kept breaking and what needed to be done to fix it. He also assessed the damage from the leak and advised remedial repairs due to brittle plastic from continuous water leakage. He also ensured a proper run in the gutter, replaced all the clips and added where there should be more and tidied the fascia’s whilst the gutter was off!!! It looks amazing and will now stand the stormy weather we have been having!!!
