I picked Steve from Which Trusted Traders as we had trouble with other tradespeople in the past. He decorated our bedroom and we couldn't be more pleased with the result. He came on time, was clean and tidy and did a first class job. We are booking him to do more work next year.

Steve provided a fair quote for the painting of my lounge. He was very professional, friendly and helpful. Vic then completed the work to a very high standard. He was punctual, friendly and very tidy. I am so pleased with the result! I will definitely use them again.

Steve returned to complete extensive internal decoration after completing external work for us in the Summer. Once again delighted with the finished work, and much appreciated the advice and help given. Would highly recommend.

I instructed Steve as a result of seeing his colleague, Vic's, work on my next door neighbour's house which was very thorough. The masonry and woodwork of the exterior of my house badly needed repainting as it had not been done for nearly 7 years. Steve did not disappoint. He did all the work at the front of my house. His preparation work was meticulous. He stripped much of the paintwork completely. He uncovered a lovely piece of Victorian wood panelling in the doorway as a result of this. His advice on types of paint to use was extremely comprehensive and thanks to him, I feel I made very good paint choices. The standard of finish is very good. Vic came along during the second week and did the back of my house whilst Steve was completing his work at the front. Vic's work was also very good. Steve was easy to work with and very amenable to suggestions. He went that extra mile for me. I will definitely use him again when I want my interior repainted.

We recently moved into a house which required extensive work as the exterior rendered paintwork had several cracks and damage, and was generally needing a thorough overhaul. All woodwork was also in desperate need of attention. We contacted Steve for a quote. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and efficient from the beginning. He listened to our requirements, made helpful suggestions to improve, then gave us a detailed quote. During the work he was reliable, hardworking, and discussed each stage of the work. Steve is a careful and tidy worker who cleared everything neatly at the end of each day and the end of the project. He is a cheery and thoughtful individual. Several times he offered to do additional things which had not been included in the original quote, but further embellished the result. The work was finished on time and for the price quoted. We are delighted with the outcome. We intend to use Steve later in the year for additional internal decoration.

Steve painted and wallpapered my new office space and it looks fantastic. He took great care in prepping our rather shabby walls so they looked really great once painted! He’s also a really nice chap to talk to! We’d use his services again without hesitation.

Steve has recently carried out interior and exterior decorating on my property, helpfully organising the scaffolding that was needed. Steve carried out the work with great care to achieve the best possible results. I found Steve very friendly, approachable, reliable, and honest. He was so helpful and went out of his way to find the best solutions for any problems that arose at a fair price. Steve is a very skilled, tidy decorator. I cannot recommend him highly enough and will definitely choose him for any further decorating work.

Steve came around got me the quote for work. He gave us the quote and then arranged when it could be done. Although not the cheapest quote, it was reasonable and the quality of the work was worth it. Vic did the work and was excellent. No issues and no problems. The room looks great and they were able to cover over some wall damage effectively. Would definitely use them again.

Having been let down by other traders, Steve arrived on time to give a competitive quote for painting the outside of my house. Good job of rubbing down, priming, undercoat and finish coats of tudor beams and render. Always on time, good job done, no mess made, reasonable price, what more could be asked?

We have used Steve a number of times (he's also worked at my Mums property). The highlights are, - The work he carries out is to a high standard - Always on time and budget - My home is always left scrupulously clean - I trust him and therefore leave him the keys when we go away I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Steve is fantastic! Very professional, friendly and tidy. He worked on the painting of our living room, dining room and kitchen walls. The finish is excellent, he is extremely mindful when doing the prep work to achieve the best end result. We booked Steve for the second time following the great work he did on the exterior areas of our house (external doors, fences etc). Budgeting and communication is very straightforward. When carrying out both projects we found him very knowledgeable and appreciated the suggestions offered to best achieve the brief. I highly recommend him and will be booking him again.

Steve painted our main bedroom, hall, stairs and landing, kitchen and large through lounge/dining room. He was very flexible, starting the work at the beginning of November and breaking it down into areas to allow us to 'get straight' in between rooms and, of course to enjoy Christmas. He is very personable and completely trustworthy. We had no worries about leaving him alone at the house with a key. Steve is meticulous in his work and is one of the fastest and tidiest painters we have ever experienced. He also went out of his way to fix some peeling ceiling paint in our bathroom and has offered to come back again to remedy the situation if necessary. We would highly recommend Steve and would not consider using anyone else for any future work.

Asked Mr Campbell to quote for two jobs because of Trusted Trader status and excellent reviews. He rang back promptly and arranged to come round. Steve took the time to discuss the options with us and sent prices quickly. We felt these were very reasonable, and within a fortnight he was able to give us a starting date for the kitchen/lobby. Strip wallpaper from small lobby, repaint woodwork there, make good surfaces in kitchen and repaint walls and ceilings throughout. Steve was courteous and easy to have around, important as we were at home all the time. We were very pleased with the work he did and have asked him to schedule our second job (redecorate landing and bathroom).

Steve and Vick were extremely professional and also helped us make good decisions, such as wall paper and matching colour. We had three rooms decorated and all work was undertaken to a very high standard. On time and punctual, very tidy. Highly recommend.

Steve and his co-worker painted the exterior wood work, masonry, and garage doors of my 2 storey house. The original quote detailed all the work, specified how surfaces would be prepared, and named the products to be used. I found this very useful in choosing Steve to do the job, and was very pleased with the finished work. Steve and Vic were both very easy to work with, being friendly and helpful, offering suggestions and advice. They even painted a few extras that I hadn't specified as they 'had some paint left'! Communication was good, and they arrived promptly each day. I am delighted to have found Steve, and have no hesitation in recommending him, he did a brilliant job.

Steve has recently painted the outside of my house and garage. He helpfully organised the scaffolding and used this to ensure the best finish in his work. In addition to the agreed project Steve identified issues with my garage doors and has addressed these. On request he also mended some guttering. Steve was always punctual and polite and he tidied up at the end of each day. I am very happy with the work which has been completed and with Steve's willingness to look at other issues and seek solutions. I would not hesitate to use Steve for future projects.

The job was to paint the refresh the exterior of a two storey house (soffits, fascias and masonry) which had been neglected for some time. Lots of fiddly woodwork and parts challenging to access due to height and various obstructions. Work was done very efficiently and to a very high standard, with the soffits and fascias looking like they were new when done. Punctual, communicative, considerate and friendly throughout. Went the extra mile in removing guttering when roofers did not turn up. From getting the quote to tidying up afterward, the good price, a great experience all round. Highly recommended!

Stephen had previously worked for me a couple of months earlier and I was pleased with the work he carried out. He paid two more visits to me again, first towards the end of March, to prime and seal my landing ceiling and to strip the wallpaper off on a section of the wall that had got damp and discoloured, due to the continued rain we have been having. He came again on 22nd April, to paint over the sealed landing ceiling, and to put new wallpaper down. He did an excellent job and at the end, negotiated a very reasonable price. He is extremely pleasant and put me at my ease when I expressed concerns about the work, and very easy to contact on the phone. He will ring back more or less straight away if he isn't available at the time of my phone call to him.

Steve and his colleague Vick recently painted our ceiling after it had been replaced. They also repaired some of the wallpaper that had been damaged during the ceiling removal. Vick did a fantastic job of cleaning up the line between the existing wallpaper and the new coving which had was now slightly higher than the old ceiling. He also repainted two of the walls and the wood around the window seat. Steve was unfazed with our request for them to use a completely VOC free paint. They even came back to rectify a problem the builder had made with the coving. Overall we were very pleased and will definitely use them again for any future decorating work.

Steve painted my landing ceiling, removed wallpaper, and re-wallpapered a couple of walls on my landing. While he was in the process of removing the wallpaper from one of the walls, some plaster came loose. Steve was completely unfazed by this, and calmly applied fresh plaster, allowing it to dry, before applying the fresh wallpaper. He was extremely pleasant and easy to talk to about the job I needed done and put me at ease. He was fast and just took one day to complete a really lovely job. I will have no hesitation in asking him back for other decorating jobs I may have in the future.

This was the first time we used Steve and we would definitely use him again. He was always on time and the work was done to a very high standard. We would highly recommend using his services.

I contacted a couple of painters to obtain quotes to paint my flat but S C Campbells were considerably cheaper that their competitors. I was a little nervous that that might mean I was compromising on quality but I needn't have worried; the painting was done to an excellent standard. Moreover, I was orginally told the work would be completed in 7 working days, Steve then estimated 6 days but in the end it only took 5 allowing us to move back in 4 days earlier! Steve made the effort to come round to view the property before work started which was a great help allowing me to discuss a few final points with him face to face. He was then good enough to come again to pick up the keys before work started to avoid difficulties because of the tube strike. Unfortunately a small piece of the work was missed. However, Steve came within the week to rectify this and I saw at first hand his attention to detail. Throughout the work, Steve was pleasant and polite. He was kind enough to leave me some tape for putting up decorations to avoid damaging the new paintwork. Steve has mentioned that he is very busy and to be honest I am not surprised! All in all, I have no hesitation at all in recommending Steve and will definitely go back to him in the future should I need any further painting doing.

Steve and Vic have just redecorated my entire bungalow and it was well worth the wait (due to them being much in demand). Leaving aside the fact that they are a pleasure to have in the house, the standard of preparation and finish was beyond my expectation. A great job with excellent advice and communication throughout and all at a very fair cost. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

This is the third time I have used Steve and I certainly expect to use him again. His work is excellent and he is most pleasant to have around the house. I have recommended him to friends.
